Look for Sold, Sold & out of stock, Completed, or a similar status filter. If you are trying to find someone else’s sold item, Facebook does not provide a dependable public archive of all sold Marketplace listings; try the original Messenger conversation, saved items, the seller’s profile, or your browser history instead.
How to view your own sold items
Meta’s documented seller-management route is Marketplace → Selling → Seller Dashboard. You can also find individual listings through Marketplace → Selling → Your listings. The exact labels and placement vary by account, device, Marketplace version, and whether the listing involved shipping or local pickup.

On the Facebook mobile app
- Open the Facebook app and tap Marketplace.
- Open the selling-management area. Depending on the app layout, this may be a profile, person, or selling icon.
- Tap Selling.
- Open Your listings, Seller Dashboard, or a similarly named inventory section.
- Choose Sold, Sold & out of stock, Completed, Inactive, or the closest available status.
- Tap the listing to view its details, photos, status, or related messages.
On a computer
- Sign in to Facebook and select Marketplace from the left-hand navigation.
- Select Selling.
- Open Seller Dashboard or Your listings.
- Filter or browse the inventory for Sold, Completed, or Sold & out of stock.
- Select the listing to open its available information.
A sold listing that remains in your account may still be useful for reviewing its description and photos, locating the buyer conversation, or deciding whether to relist the item. However, you may not see every item you have ever sold: deleted, removed, expired, unavailable, or group-only listings may no longer be in Marketplace inventory.

When a seller marks a listing sold, Meta says it is no longer visible to other people on Marketplace. Buyers who previously messaged the seller receive a sold notification, and the seller may be prompted to archive the conversation. That means ordinary Marketplace search is not a reliable way to retrieve a sold listing.

Try these recovery methods in order:
- Search Messenger. Search for the listing title, a distinctive word from the description, or the seller’s name. Check archived conversations if the thread is not in the main inbox.
- Check Saved items. A saved listing may still appear in your saved-items area even though the original Marketplace page is unavailable. A saved thumbnail or link does not guarantee that the listing can be opened.
- Open the seller’s Marketplace profile. If the seller has left relevant profile information or listings visible, look for All listings or related activity. This is not a complete sold-history archive.
- Check browser history. Search your browser history for Facebook, Marketplace, the item name, or the seller’s name.
- Review Facebook activity records. Depending on what you previously interacted with, activity history may help identify the listing or seller.
- Ask the seller. The seller may still have the photos, description, asking price, or other details.
A link can continue to appear in a message, saved item, cached result, or recommendation after the listing is sold. Clicking it may only produce an unavailable page. A visible thumbnail is not proof that the item is still purchasable.
What to do if you cannot find a Sold section
Facebook does not show an identically named Sold tab on every account. Work through these checks:

- 360° Rotation & 180° Tilt: Adjust your phone angle with 360° rotation and 180° tilt to switch easily between portrait and landscape orientations. The adjustable phone mount allows flexible positioning without an additional ball head.

For the best fit, avoid clamping directly over side buttons. With thick cases or protruding buttons, adjust the clamp position slightly higher or lower.
- Secure, Non-Slip Grip: Thick, non-slip silicone pads help hold your smartphone securely and protect it from scratches. The adjustable phone clamp accommodates compatible devices with many types of phone cases for stable mounting during photos and videos.
- Open Seller Dashboard instead of relying on the main Marketplace feed.
- Inspect Your listings beyond the active listings.
- Look for Sold & out of stock, Inactive, Archived, or Completed.
- Search Messenger for the listing or buyer.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the Facebook account that created the listing.
- Switch between the Facebook app and desktop website.
- Update the app, then sign out and back in.
- Check whether the item was posted in a buy-and-sell group rather than Marketplace.
- If the record is still missing, use Facebook’s Marketplace Help Center or an in-app problem-reporting option.
Do not delete and recreate a listing simply to make a status appear. Deletion may remove the history you are trying to recover, and Meta does not guarantee that a deleted listing can be restored.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Marketplace statuses: sold, pending, available, and out of stock
| Status | What it generally means |
|---|---|
| Available | The listing is presented as available for purchase or inquiry. |
| Pending | The seller has reached an agreement or is holding the item, but the transaction is not necessarily final. |
| Sold | The seller has marked the item sold. Meta says the listing is removed from public Marketplace visibility. |
| Out of stock | Inventory is unavailable, often for a shipped or quantity-based listing. It is not always the same as a one-off local sale. |
| Shipped | A status associated with shipping-based Marketplace activity rather than necessarily a local handoff. |
Meta’s explanation of Marketplace statuses and visibility is available in its Marketplace listing help documentation. A seller can change a listing marked Sold or Pending back to Available if the listing still exists in the seller’s inventory.

How to relist a sold item
- Open Marketplace → Selling → Your listings or Seller Dashboard.
- Select the sold or pending listing.
- Choose Mark as available, Relist, or a similar option if it is shown.
- Review the price, location, description, and photos.
- Confirm availability or publish the listing.
This option only works when the listing remains in your account and Facebook offers the control. Deleted, removed, expired, or otherwise unavailable listings may not be recoverable. A relisted item may receive a new URL and new messages, and its original interaction history may not carry over exactly.
How to reopen a buyer conversation
Open Messenger and search for the listing title, buyer’s name, or a phrase from the conversation. If the thread is missing, check archived chats. You can also open the listing from the selling area and look for its associated messages, if Facebook still provides that option.

What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can you see what someone else’s item actually sold for?
Usually, no. Facebook does not reliably publish the final negotiated price for ordinary local Marketplace transactions, and it does not function like eBay’s completed-sales database.

- The displayed listing price may differ from the amount ultimately agreed.
- A seller can mark an item sold without payment being processed through Facebook.
- The seller may have sold the item elsewhere and then updated Marketplace.
- Local cash or pickup transactions often leave less formal information inside Facebook.
- Shipping or checkout-based orders may create more structured order records, but those records are not a public archive of every Marketplace sale.
For pricing research, compare current active listings and treat any visible seller activity as context rather than confirmed sale-price data. As of Meta’s March 2026 announcement, some Marketplace profiles may show limited activity or listing-history information, item types, and seller ratings. Availability and detail vary, and this is not a searchable record of every sold item or final price. See Meta’s Marketplace profile announcement.
Buy-and-sell group listings use a separate route
If the item was posted in a Facebook buy-and-sell group, it may not appear in your Marketplace inventory. Try:
- Open Groups and select the relevant buy-and-sell group.
- Open Your items.
- Locate the original post.
- Use Mark as sold or Mark as available, if offered.
Meta documents group-based listing management separately in its buy-and-sell group help page.

Meta’s Seller app is an optional management tool, not a requirement for finding one sold listing. Meta says that, as of August 18, 2026, it is available through the U.S. App Store for eligible Marketplace sellers aged 18 and older, with listings, messages, selling history, inventory management, and sold-listing performance information synced from Facebook Marketplace. The App Store listing identifies it as free, iPhone-only in its primary listing, and requiring iOS 17.4 or later. Availability, eligibility, platform support, and features may change.
For an occasional seller, start with Facebook’s built-in Selling area. The dedicated app is more relevant if you manage many listings and want a separate inventory and messaging workspace.
