LiteForex is a real brokerage group, but “LiteForex” does not identify one legal entity or one level of protection. Depending on your country and the website you use, your account may be opened with a CySEC-regulated Cyprus company, a Mauritius-licensed company, or LiteFinance Global LLC in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, which states that it has no financial regulator or compensation scheme.
That distinction matters more than the brand name. The safest conclusion is that LiteForex/LiteFinance is not proven to be an outright scam, but it is not uniformly safe. The legal entity named in your client agreement determines your regulatory protection, complaint options, and access to compensation arrangements.
LiteForex at a glance
| Entity | Location and status | Client-protection assessment |
|---|---|---|
| Liteforex (Europe) Ltd | Cyprus; CySEC license 093/08 | Strongest protection in the group. Eligible retail claims may be covered by Cyprus’s Investor Compensation Fund. |
| LiteFinance Investment Limited | Mauritius; FSC license GB20025921 | Licensed as an Investment Dealer, but the company states that there is no compensation scheme. |
| LiteFinance Global LLC | St. Vincent and the Grenadines; registration number 931 LLC 2021 | Unregulated according to the company’s own disclosures, with no statutory compensation scheme or financial regulator complaint authority. |
Do not assume that a company registration in St. Vincent and the Grenadines means the broker is financially regulated. Incorporation and investment-firm supervision are different things.
Is LiteForex regulated?
Liteforex (Europe) Ltd is regulated by CySEC

#1 Best Overall
CySEC’s register lists the company as authorized for services including receiving and transmitting orders, executing orders, portfolio management, and related ancillary services. The registered address shown in the record is 124 Gladstonos Street, The Hawk Building, 4th floor, 3032 Limassol, Cyprus.
The Cyprus-regulated business operates through the LiteForex.eu domain family. Approved domains listed by CySEC include:
www.liteforex.euwww.liteforex.plde.liteforex.eues.liteforex.eufr.liteforex.euit.liteforex.eupt.liteforex.euru.liteforex.eu
LiteForex.eu states that it serves residents of the European Economic Area, the United Arab Emirates, and the Marshall Islands. It does not provide brokerage services to residents of the United States.
LiteFinance Global LLC is not financially regulated
The global website operates under the LiteFinance brand. Its registered-offices information identifies LiteFinance Global LLC as a St. Vincent and the Grenadines company with registration number 931 LLC 2021.
Most importantly, the company’s own page lists the regulator as “No.” It also says this entity has:
- no compensation scheme;
- no complaints authority;
- no mandatory 50% margin close-out rule; and
- no financial regulator supervising its brokerage activity.
The company says that client funds are segregated and that negative-balance protection applies. Those are contractual or company-level protections, however, and are not equivalent to supervision by a securities regulator, an investor-compensation fund, or a financial ombudsman.
LiteFinance Investment Limited is licensed in Mauritius
LiteFinance Investment Limited is registered in Mauritius under number 178302. The company states that it is licensed by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission as an Investment Dealer—Full Service Dealer, excluding underwriting—under license GB20025921.
Its published information says that client funds must be held in segregated bank accounts and that negative-balance protection applies. It also states that there is no compensation scheme. This makes the Mauritius entity different from the unregulated Global LLC, but its stated protections remain weaker than those associated with the CySEC entity.

What protection do clients receive?
Cyprus Investor Compensation Fund
Liteforex (Europe) Ltd states that eligible retail clients are covered by Cyprus’s Investor Compensation Fund. CySEC explains that the maximum compensation is the lower of:
- 90% of the covered claim; or
- €20,000.
This is not protection against trading losses. If you lose money because a CFD or forex trade moves against you, the fund does not reimburse that loss. It is intended for eligible covered claims if the investment firm cannot meet its obligations.
Global entity: no statutory compensation scheme
LiteFinance Global LLC states that it has no compensation scheme and no complaints authority. If a dispute arises, a client does not have the same regulatory escalation route available to a client of a CySEC-regulated investment firm.
The company’s promise to segregate funds may be relevant, but it should not be treated as equivalent to an investor-compensation fund or regulator-enforced client-money regime.

No. The current legal information for LiteFinance Global LLC says it does not provide services to residents of the United States. LiteForex.eu also states that Liteforex (Europe) Ltd does not provide brokerage services to US residents.
A US resident may still be able to load a website, contact support, or create an informational profile. None of those actions proves that the broker legally accepts US clients. A US trader should use a broker authorized for US residents rather than attempting to bypass the restriction.
Platforms and account types
LiteFinance’s support material lists the following platforms:
- MetaTrader 4;
- MetaTrader 5;
- cTrader;
- a browser-based web terminal; and
- mobile versions of supported platforms.
To open a trading account through the current client area, the company’s instructions say to use:
Rank #3
- Sign in to the Client Profile.
- Open the MetaTrader tab in the left sidebar.
- Select the account type, such as CLASSIC or ECN.
- Choose a regular demo account or contest account if applicable.
- Use the account number and password shown in the Client Profile to connect MT4 or MT5.
The ECN account page currently lists a $50 minimum deposit, MT4/MT5/cTrader access, floating spreads from 0.0 points, commission charged per lot, and a minimum lot size of 0.01. It lists leverage from 1:1000 to 1:1, a 100% margin-call level, and a 20% stop-out level.
Leverage of 1:1000 is extremely high. It can reduce the margin needed to open a trade, but it also allows a small market movement to produce a large loss relative to the deposit. The broker’s educational material says Cent accounts may have a $10 minimum deposit, although account availability depends on jurisdiction, entity, and account type. Therefore, neither $50 nor $10 should be treated as a universal minimum.
How withdrawals work
The documented withdrawal route is:
Client Profile → Finance → Withdrawal
Only funds shown as available for operations can be withdrawn. Money being used as margin for open trades is not available until the relevant positions or margin requirements change.
LiteForex’s withdrawal rules can lead to canceled or delayed requests when payment details do not match the deposit history. The main conditions are:
Recommended Free Tools
| Deposit method | Typical documented withdrawal requirement |
|---|---|
| Bank wire | Withdraw by bank wire to the same bank and account from which the deposit originated. |
| Electronic payment system | Use the same payment system and the same account or wallet used for the deposit. |
| Currency | Withdraw in the same currency used for the deposit. |
| Bank card or cryptocurrency | A fully verified profile is required. |
The FAQ lists a different payment system, a different wallet, AML-policy violations, and incomplete requirements as reasons a withdrawal may be canceled. These rules can be inconvenient, but a rejected request by itself is not proof of fraud.
Verification and automatic-withdrawal limits
LiteFinance’s instructions say withdrawals are unavailable without verification. Depending on the account and payment method, verification may require identity documents, proof of address, and evidence that you control the payment method.
The company says document verification takes one to three hours on average. That is an average estimate, not a guaranteed deadline. Its AML policy also says that failing to provide required documents can result in an account being blocked and funds being returned to the card.
For fully verified clients, the automatic-withdrawal page currently lists a maximum of:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- five automatic withdrawals;
- up to $5,000 within 24 hours; and
- $2,000 per day for clients from Kenya and Tanzania.
The company may change the amount or the payment systems available for automatic withdrawals.
Other account conditions to check
Dormancy fees
Under the current LiteFinance Global client agreement, an MT account becomes dormant after 90 days without balance operations and without open trades. The stated fee is $10 every 30 calendar days while the account remains dormant.
The agreement says the company will notify the client seven calendar days before dormancy begins. An MT account becomes archived 40 calendar days after its balance reaches zero. If you intend to stop trading, check the account agreement and consider withdrawing available funds rather than leaving a small balance inactive.
Negative-balance protection
LiteFinance advertises negative-balance protection for the Global LLC and Mauritius entities. Under the Global LLC agreement, a negative balance is corrected to zero when the negative amount appears in the balance and there are no active open trades in the account.

What about the FCA warning?
On December 16, 2025, the UK Financial Conduct Authority published a warning about a firm called Liteforex Trades, using www.liteforextd.com. The FCA said that firm was unauthorized and might have been targeting UK consumers.
The warning is specifically about Liteforex Trades and the liteforextd.com domain. It does not, by itself, establish that the firm is the same business as Liteforex (Europe) Ltd or LiteFinance Global LLC. Similar branding is a reason to verify a domain and legal entity—not proof that every company using a similar name is identical.
LiteFinance has also warned about impersonators using the LiteForex name through fake websites, social-media groups, and messaging applications. Official staff should not ask for your password, confidential payment information, or remote-access software such as TeamViewer or Microsoft Remote Desktop.

How to check which LiteForex entity holds your account
- Check the domain. Make sure you are using an official domain, not a lookalike website or a link sent through an unsolicited message.
- Read the client agreement. Look for the exact contracting company, registered address, and applicable jurisdiction.
- Compare the regulator independently. For the Cyprus entity, search the company name and license number 093/08 in the CySEC register rather than relying only on a logo on the broker’s website.
- Check the entity before depositing. The name shown during account opening may differ from the brand displayed on the website.
- Use matching payment details. Deposit and withdraw through the same account, wallet, payment system, and currency wherever the policy requires it.
- Test the process with a small amount. A small initial deposit and withdrawal can help you understand verification and payment procedures before committing more money. This does not remove counterparty risk.
- Never pay an outside “release” fee. Be especially cautious of requests for extra tax, unfreezing, recovery, or processing payments sent by an agent or chat contact.
LiteForex scam claims: what the evidence supports
| Claim | More accurate assessment |
|---|---|
| “LiteForex is unregulated.” | Too broad. Global LLC is unregulated, while Liteforex (Europe) Ltd is listed by CySEC and LiteFinance Investment Limited states that it is licensed in Mauritius. |
| “LiteForex is fully regulated.” | Incorrect. The global entity states that it has no regulator, compensation scheme, or complaints authority. |
| “The company completely rebranded to LiteFinance.” | Incomplete. The global operation uses LiteFinance branding, while the Cyprus-regulated company still operates as Liteforex (Europe) Ltd through LiteForex.eu. |
| “A canceled withdrawal proves a scam.” | Not necessarily. Payment mismatches, incomplete verification, AML checks, and account rules can cause cancellations or delays. |
| “The FCA warning proves the official LiteForex site is a scam.” | Not established. The warning names Liteforex Trades at liteforextd.com, a specific firm and domain. |
Final safety assessment
LiteForex/LiteFinance appears to be a genuine operating brokerage group, not an outright scam based on the available evidence. But the group’s risk profile changes substantially depending on the entity.
Liteforex (Europe) Ltd is the strongest option from a regulatory-protection perspective because it is listed by CySEC and eligible retail clients may have access to Cyprus’s Investor Compensation Fund, subject to the fund’s rules. The Mauritius entity is licensed but has no stated compensation scheme. LiteFinance Global LLC is the weakest option because it explicitly states that it is unregulated and has no statutory compensation scheme or complaints authority.
Before depositing, confirm the legal entity in the account-opening documents. If the account is with Global LLC, understand that the company’s segregation and negative-balance promises do not provide the same protection as a regulated European investment firm. Never send money to an unofficial website or to someone promising to unlock a withdrawal.
FAQ
Is LiteForex a legitimate broker?
LiteForex/LiteFinance is a real brokerage group with operating companies in Cyprus, Mauritius, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. However, legitimacy and client protection depend on the entity that accepts your account. LiteFinance Global LLC states that it is unregulated.
Is LiteForex regulated by CySEC?
Liteforex (Europe) Ltd is listed by CySEC under license 093/08. That does not mean every LiteForex or LiteFinance account is held by the Cyprus company. Check your client agreement before depositing.
Does LiteForex have investor compensation?
Eligible retail clients of the Cyprus entity may be covered by Cyprus’s Investor Compensation Fund, with coverage capped at the lower of 90% of a covered claim or €20,000. The Global LLC and Mauritius disclosures state that no compensation scheme applies.
Can US residents use LiteForex?
The current legal information for both LiteFinance Global LLC and Liteforex (Europe) Ltd says they do not provide brokerage services to US residents. US residents should use a broker authorized in the United States.
Why might a LiteForex withdrawal be canceled?
Documented reasons include using a different payment system or wallet from the one used for the deposit, a bank or account mismatch, currency mismatch, incomplete verification, or an AML review. A canceled withdrawal is not automatically proof of fraud.

Sign in to the Client Profile and go to Finance → Withdrawal. You can generally withdraw only funds available for operations, not funds currently tied up as margin for open positions.
Does LiteForex offer negative-balance protection?
LiteFinance advertises negative-balance protection, but the Global LLC agreement applies conditions. For example, the negative balance is corrected after it appears in the balance and there are no active open trades. It does not protect your deposit from trading losses.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: LiteForex is not accurately described as either completely safe or an outright scam. It is a brokerage group with one CySEC-regulated entity, one Mauritius-licensed entity, and one explicitly unregulated global entity. If safety is your priority, verify that your account is with Liteforex (Europe) Ltd and not LiteFinance Global LLC. Check the legal agreement, use only official domains, follow the deposit-and-withdrawal matching rules, and reject any request for passwords, remote access, or extra payments to release funds.
