Verdict: Leeloo Trading is a futures-focused proprietary trading evaluation company, not a conventional broker or an employer handing you a guaranteed allocation of live trading capital. Calling it an outright scam would go further than the available evidence supports. However, a Leeloo account is still a paid, rule-heavy simulated trading program, and the main risk is not only losing the evaluation fee—it is misunderstanding the drawdown, consistency, payout and platform rules.
Leeloo may suit an experienced futures trader who already has a tested strategy and carefully reads the current agreement. It is a poor fit for someone who wants simple rules, guaranteed payouts or a substitute for a regulated brokerage account.
What is Leeloo Trading?
Leeloo Trading is a futures prop trading firm that sells evaluations, commonly called challenges, based on a chosen notional account size. The trader pays a fee, trades under specified risk limits and attempts to reach a profit target without violating the account rules.
The important distinction is that this is not the same as depositing money with a futures broker. A prop-firm evaluation generally takes place in a simulated environment. The advertised account size—such as $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000—does not mean that amount is deposited into an account in your name or that you can withdraw the full balance.

Leeloo has historically offered access to futures markets through third-party trading platforms and data connections. Platform availability, permitted contracts, evaluation prices, drawdown calculations and payout conditions can change, so prospective customers should treat the checkout page and current trader agreement as the controlling documents—not an old review or promotional video.
Is Leeloo Trading a scam?
There is not enough basis to label Leeloo Trading a proven scam simply because it sells evaluations or because traders can fail them. Most evaluation firms have strict loss rules, and many customers will lose their fees by breaching those rules.
That does not make the arrangement risk-free. The practical question is whether the rules are clear, whether the firm identifies the legal entity responsible for the contract, and whether a trader can understand exactly what must happen before a payout is approved. A company can be legitimate in the narrow sense while still offering a product that is expensive, difficult to pass or unsuitable for most beginners.
Leeloo should therefore be viewed as a high-risk simulated prop program, not as a guaranteed route to a funded trading career. Before paying, check the current terms for:

How the Leeloo model works
- Select a plan. The plan normally determines the notional account size, profit target, drawdown, permitted contracts and monthly or one-time fee.
- Trade the evaluation. You must reach the target without touching the loss limit or breaching a separate rule. A single intraday loss can be enough to fail an account.
- Request or receive a funded-stage account. Passing the evaluation does not necessarily mean you are trading a live brokerage account. Read the funded-stage agreement separately.
- Build a payout-eligible record. The funded stage may impose additional requirements, such as a minimum number of trading days, a consistency test, a safety buffer or a maximum first withdrawal.
- Submit a payout request. Approval can depend on compliance checks and whether the account remained within every rule, including rules that did not affect the displayed account balance.
This structure creates a common misunderstanding: passing the challenge and qualifying for a payout are different milestones. A trader can meet the headline profit target but still be ineligible to withdraw because of a consistency, minimum-day or drawdown-buffer rule.

The rules that deserve the closest attention
Trailing drawdown
A trailing drawdown follows the account’s highest balance or equity rather than staying fixed at the starting balance. Depending on the program, it may move in real time, at the end of the session or only after a threshold is reached. Open-profit calculations can matter.
For example, if a plan has a $2,500 trailing limit and the account reaches a new high, the permissible loss level may move upward. If the rule trails unrealized gains, a temporary spike in an open position can raise the floor before the trade comes back. A trader who thinks in terms of closing balance can then breach the account unexpectedly.
Ask support this specific question before trading: “Is the drawdown calculated from real-time equity, end-of-day balance, or another value, and when does the threshold stop trailing?” Save the written answer.
Daily loss and liquidation rules
Daily loss limits may include realized losses, unrealized losses, commissions and other charges. Some firms automatically liquidate positions when a threshold is reached; others terminate the account. The time at which a new trading day begins also matters, particularly for traders operating outside the firm’s stated time zone.
Contract and position limits
A plan may restrict the number of contracts, micros, or simultaneous positions. Micro contracts are not always treated as a simple one-tenth substitute for a standard contract under every rule. Slippage, tick value and margin requirements still matter.

News, overnight and weekend trading
Futures traders should not assume that a trade is allowed merely because the exchange is open. Some programs restrict holding positions through economic releases, daily settlement, market closure or weekends. Rules may differ by product, account type and platform.
Consistency requirements
A consistency rule limits how much of the total profit can come from one day or one trade. It is designed to discourage passing an evaluation with a single oversized gamble, but it can also delay a payout after a profitable run. A trader should calculate the required profit distribution before entering the account.

The headline evaluation price is not the complete cost. Depending on the plan, a trader may also encounter activation charges, platform or data fees, reset fees, recurring billing, exchange fees or a new fee after failure. Promotions can make the initial price look attractive while leaving the ongoing conditions unchanged.
Read the payment page and refund policy before clicking purchase. In particular, determine whether a fee is refundable after passing, whether unused accounts can be cancelled, and whether placing one trade removes the refund option. Do not assume a chargeback is an ordinary refund method; it can trigger an account dispute and may conflict with the firm’s terms.
Leeloo Trading: advantages and disadvantages
| Potential advantages | Potential disadvantages |
|---|---|
| Access to a futures evaluation without depositing a large trading account. | The account is generally simulated, not a personal live brokerage account. |
| Rules can provide a defined maximum loss for the evaluation fee. | Trailing drawdown and consistency rules can be difficult to model. |
| Useful for traders who already have a disciplined futures plan. | Multiple fees, resets or failed attempts can become expensive. |
| Several platform and plan choices may be available. | Terms, supported platforms and promotions can change. |
| A structured process may appeal to traders who need risk limits. | Passing the evaluation does not guarantee a payout or live capital. |
Who should avoid Leeloo?
Avoid the program if you are still learning contract values, cannot explain your maximum dollar loss before entering a trade, or need to use money required for rent, debt payments or emergency expenses. It is also unsuitable if you intend to pass by increasing position size after a losing trade.

Futures leverage can produce rapid gains and losses. A prop evaluation’s loss limit does not make the underlying strategy safe; it only defines when the firm’s account rules end the attempt.

Final assessment
Leeloo Trading is better described as a speculative futures evaluation service than as a conventional prop desk. I would not call it an established, low-risk way to obtain trading capital, and I would not rely on marketing claims alone when assessing payout prospects.
For a skilled futures trader, the program may be worth considering if the current rules are transparent, the fee is affordable and the trader can demonstrate a strategy that works within the drawdown and consistency limits. For beginners, the probability of repeatedly paying for failed evaluations can outweigh the appeal of the advertised account size.
FAQ
Does Leeloo Trading give traders real money to trade?
Do not assume so. Prop-firm evaluations and many funded stages use simulated trading. Read the current Leeloo agreement and risk disclosure to determine whether your specific account is simulated, live, or subject to a different arrangement.
Can you lose more than the Leeloo evaluation fee?
The evaluation itself is normally designed to limit your direct trading loss to the fees and related charges, but you can lose more overall by buying resets, renewing subscriptions or opening multiple accounts. Never trade with money needed for living expenses.

Best Value
What is the biggest risk with Leeloo?
The biggest practical risk is misunderstanding the loss calculation. A trailing drawdown based on equity can be breached even when the closing balance appears profitable. Payout and consistency rules are additional risks.
Is Leeloo Trading regulated like a futures broker?
A prop evaluation company should not automatically be treated as a regulated futures broker or futures commission merchant. Verify the legal entity and regulatory status independently, and distinguish a simulated evaluation from a brokerage account.
Is Leeloo Trading good for beginners?
Usually not. Beginners should first learn futures contract specifications, tick values, margin, slippage and order types in a low-cost practice environment. An evaluation adds firm-specific rules before a trader has a proven process.
What should I do if a payout is denied?
Request the exact rule citation, account timestamp, trade ID and calculation supporting the decision. Keep the agreement and account records, communicate in writing, and use the payment provider’s dispute process only after reviewing the contract and applicable deadlines.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

Bottom line: Leeloo Trading should not be casually labelled a scam, but it is not a guaranteed or conventional funded-trading opportunity either. Treat it as a paid, simulated futures evaluation with strict and changeable conditions. Buy only after confirming the current drawdown, payout, platform, refund and legal-entity details in writing. If those rules are unclear—or if passing depends on taking risks you would never take with your own account—walk away.
