Verdict: MPlus Social should not be treated as a safe or currently legitimate forex broker. Its historical Vanuatu authorization appears to have been revoked, its current operating company and regulatory status cannot be independently verified, and its website has been reported as inactive.

That does not establish that a court or financial regulator has formally found MPlus Social to be a criminal scam. The more accurate classification is high risk and no longer verifiably regulated. New customers should not deposit money or submit identity documents.

What was MPlus Social?

MPlus Social was described in older broker reviews as a forex and CFD broker operated by MPlus Global Limited, reportedly based in Vanuatu. Historical descriptions said it offered forex, indices, commodities and other contracts for difference (CFDs), with MetaTrader 4 or a web-based platform.

Older pages commonly quoted a minimum deposit of about $1,000, maximum leverage of 1:100, a single Premium account and spreads from roughly one pip. These should be treated as historical or directory information—not as current terms that a customer can rely on.

More recent directory entries associate the brand with Mplus Global (Thailand) Co., Ltd., list a Cyprus telephone number and provide the email address [email protected]. Those details do not prove that the company is currently registered as an investment firm in Cyprus, or that it is still operating the broker.

Is MPlus Social regulated?

The broker did have a historical connection with the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC). MPlus Global Limited appeared on VFSC licensee lists published in 2018 and early 2019. Those records showed the entity as active and gave a license date of May 25, 2018.

That historical listing is not evidence of a current license. Current broker-monitoring records identify the relevant authorization—license number 40375—as revoked and classify MPlus Social as having no valid forex license.

The important distinction is:

  • The company’s name appearing on an old regulator list proves only that it appeared on that list at that time.
  • It does not prove that the authorization remains active.
  • A broker’s own website, an old review or a directory listing cannot replace a live regulator-hosted record.

Accordingly, it would be misleading to describe MPlus Social simply as “VFSC-regulated.” The available evidence supports the conclusion that its former Vanuatu authorization is no longer valid or at least cannot be verified as active.

What about the Cyprus and FCA claims?

A Cyprus phone number, a Cyprus address or a website reference to Cyprus does not establish authorization by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). The records reviewed for this article do not verify a CySEC license for MPlus Social.

Older reviews also referred to FCA-regulated liquidity providers. That claim does not make MPlus Social an FCA-regulated broker. The relevant question is which legal entity:

A broker cannot obtain FCA protection for its customers merely by saying that it connects to FCA-regulated liquidity providers. The providers were not clearly identified in the historical material, and there is no evidence that they accepted responsibility for MPlus Social’s retail clients or customer deposits.

Is the MPlus Social website still operating?

The historical domain associated with the broker is mplussocial.com. A 2025 broker review reported that the website was inactive and that the broker no longer appeared to be operating. More recent directory pages continue to mention the domain but also report access problems and the absence of a valid forex license.

As a result, the following details cannot be treated as verified current features:

Claim or feature How it should be treated
MT4 availability Historical or directory claim, not proof of current operation
$1,000 minimum deposit Historical figure; current terms cannot be confirmed
1:100 leverage Historical figure; do not assume it remains available
Spreads from one pip Historical marketing information, not independently verified
Deposit and withdrawal methods Currently unverified
Withdrawal processing times Currently unverified

MetaTrader 4 is trading software supplied by a third party. A working MT4 login does not prove that the broker is licensed, solvent, properly segregated or able to process withdrawals.

Why the regulatory uncertainty matters

Forex customers generally rely on the broker or counterparty to execute trades, close positions and return available funds. In off-exchange forex, there is not necessarily a central clearinghouse standing between the customer and the counterparty.

That makes the broker’s legal identity and regulatory status particularly important. A properly authorized firm may be subject to rules covering client money, reporting, capital, conduct and complaints. If the entity receiving a deposit cannot be verified, a customer may have little practical protection if the website disappears or withdrawals stop.

The risk indicators here are not limited to one old review. They include:

  • A former Vanuatu authorization reportedly listed as revoked;
  • No independently verified current forex license;
  • Uncertainty about the company currently operating the brand;
  • Reported inactivity or access problems involving the website; and
  • Old promotional claims still circulating without current confirmation.

Is MPlus Social a proven scam?

There is not enough verified evidence to state that a court or financial regulator has formally determined that MPlus Social is a criminal scam. The research located broker reviews and directory records, but not a regulator-published enforcement decision or independently verified case file establishing a specific pattern of unpaid withdrawals.

That qualification does not make the broker safe. The absence of a confirmed enforcement decision—or a large number of readily searchable complaints—is not proof of legitimacy. It may simply reflect a discontinued or limited public presence.

The defensible conclusion is therefore:

MPlus Social is best classified as a high-risk, currently unregulated or no-longer-verifiably-regulated broker, not as a proven criminal scam.

What U.S. customers should know

MPlus Social should not be presented as a U.S.-authorized forex broker. A historical Vanuatu authorization, an offshore company registration, an FCA liquidity-provider reference or an MT4 connection does not satisfy U.S. regulatory requirements.

Before depositing with any forex firm, a U.S. resident should verify the legal entity through the CFTC and NFA registration resources. The name on the registration record should match the entity named in the customer agreement and the entity receiving the money.

If those details do not match—or cannot be found—do not assume that an overseas license protects you in the United States.

What should you do if you already sent money?

  1. Stop sending additional funds. Do not pay a supposed tax, release fee or verification charge to unlock a withdrawal without independently confirming the recipient.
  2. Save evidence. Keep account statements, emails, chat transcripts, wallet addresses, payment confirmations, contracts and screenshots of the website.
  3. Contact the payment provider quickly. Ask your bank, card issuer, payment app or cryptocurrency exchange whether a recall, chargeback or fraud report is available. Recovery is not guaranteed, and speed matters.
  4. Secure your accounts. Change reused passwords, enable multi-factor authentication and monitor bank and card activity.
  5. Report the matter. U.S. customers can consider reports to the CFTC, NFA, FTC and relevant state authorities. Customers elsewhere should contact their national financial regulator and law-enforcement agency.

Be cautious of “recovery agents” that demand an upfront payment and promise to retrieve the funds. Fraudsters often target people who have already lost money.

Final assessment

MPlus Social is not verifiably legitimate as a current forex broker. It appears to have operated under a historical Vanuatu authorization, but current records report that authorization as revoked. Its present operator, regulatory coverage, financial safeguards and operational availability cannot be reliably confirmed.

For a personal-finance decision, that is enough to reject the broker. Do not open a new account, deposit funds or send identity documents. The careful wording is not “a regulator has proven it is a criminal scam”; it is that MPlus Social is currently too difficult to verify and too risky to treat as a legitimate broker.

Sources reviewed include the historical VFSC licensee list, broker-monitoring records from WikiBit, historical broker information from TheForexReview, availability reporting from 55Brokers and U.S. investor guidance from Investor.gov.

FAQ

Is MPlus Social a legitimate forex broker?

MPlus Social is not currently verifiably legitimate. Its historical Vanuatu authorization is reported as revoked, its current regulatory status cannot be confirmed and its website has been reported as inactive.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Was MPlus Social ever regulated?

MPlus Global Limited appeared on historical Vanuatu Financial Services Commission licensee lists in 2018 and early 2019. Current broker-monitoring records report the relevant authorization as revoked, so the old listing should not be treated as current regulation.

Is MPlus Social regulated by the FCA or CySEC?

No current FCA or CySEC authorization was verified. Claims about FCA-regulated liquidity providers do not mean that MPlus Social itself was authorized by the FCA.

Does an MT4 connection prove MPlus Social is safe?

No. MT4 is third-party trading software. Its availability does not verify the broker’s ownership, regulation, financial condition or ability to return customer funds.

Should I deposit money with MPlus Social?

No. The broker’s current legal entity, license, website availability and customer-fund protections cannot be reliably confirmed. New customers should avoid deposits and should not submit identity documents.

What if MPlus Social refuses my withdrawal?

Stop sending money, preserve all records and contact your bank, card issuer or payment provider immediately to ask about a chargeback or recall. Also report the matter to the relevant financial regulator and beware of recovery scams.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: MPlus Social is best classified as a high-risk, no-longer-verifiably-regulated forex broker. Its former Vanuatu authorization does not establish current legitimacy, and there is no adequate basis to trust it with money or identity documents. The evidence does not justify calling it a proven criminal scam, but it does justify avoiding the platform.
