1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsVerdict: I would not treat Kingston Trading as a verified, trustworthy broker based on the name alone. I cannot identify a clearly established, top-tier-regulated brokerage that universally operates under that exact name. That does not prove every business or website using “Kingston Trading” is fraudulent, but it is enough to avoid depositing money until the legal company, regulator, website and payment destination have been independently confirmed.
The name may be used by more than one business—or by an impersonator. A trading website can display a registration number, office address and copied regulatory language without being authorized to offer investments. The decisive question is not whether the site looks professional. It is whether the exact entity named in your client agreement appears on the relevant regulator’s register with permission to provide the specific services being advertised.
Is Kingston Trading a scam or a legitimate broker?
There is not enough reliable, independently verifiable information to give Kingston Trading a clean “legit broker” verdict. For a personal-finance decision, that means the practical conclusion is do not fund the account unless the firm passes a regulator and withdrawal check.
That is different from claiming that every company with “Kingston Trading” in its name is definitely a scam. The name is not, by itself, a legal identity. A genuine broker should clearly disclose:
#1 Best Overall
- its full legal entity name and registration number;
- the regulator supervising the account;
- the exact permissions held—for example, dealing in investments, arranging trades or holding client money;
- its registered office and complaints procedure;
- the entity that will receive your deposit; and
- the compensation and client-money rules that apply to your country.
If those details are missing, inconsistent or impossible to match in an official register, walk away.
What to verify before opening an account
- Find the legal entity. Look in the footer, terms and conditions and account-opening documents. “Kingston Trading” may be a brand rather than the company accepting your money.
- Search the regulator yourself. Do not use a link supplied by a salesperson. UK customers can search the FCA Firm Checker; Australian customers can search ASIC’s professional registers; US customers should check FINRA BrokerCheck and, where relevant, the SEC’s investment adviser database; EU customers should use the national regulator or CySEC register where applicable.
- Match every detail. The legal name, domain, phone number, address and permission category should correspond. A real firm’s registration number copied onto a different website is a common impersonation tactic.
- Check the beneficiary account. Deposits should go to an account in the regulated firm’s name, normally through the broker’s authenticated client portal. Do not pay a salesperson, crypto wallet, personal bank account or unrelated company.
- Read the withdrawal terms. Look for minimum withdrawals, processing fees, inactivity charges, conversion costs and any restrictions on returning money to your own bank account.
- Test with a small amount—if you proceed. A small deposit is not proof of legitimacy, but a prompt, complete withdrawal is more informative than an attractive trading dashboard or profitable account balance.
Warning signs associated with questionable trading platforms
| Warning sign | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Guaranteed profits or “no-risk” trading | Legitimate brokers do not guarantee returns from forex, CFDs, crypto or other leveraged products. |
| Pressure to deposit immediately | Urgency is designed to prevent independent checks and careful reading of the terms. |
| Contact through WhatsApp, Telegram or an unexpected social-media message | Unsolicited approaches are common in investment scams and impersonation schemes. |
| A request for tax, insurance or an “unlocking” fee before withdrawal | Legitimate firms deduct ordinary charges under disclosed terms; they do not normally demand a new payment to release your own balance. |
| Only cryptocurrency deposits | Crypto transfers are difficult to reverse and do not establish that the recipient is regulated. |
| Profits visible only inside the platform | A displayed balance can be fabricated. The useful test is whether money reaches your bank account. |
| Regulator details that cannot be matched | Scammers frequently copy the identity and registration details of genuine firms. |
Fees and trading risks
Even if a Kingston Trading website is genuine, trading risk remains. Forex and CFD accounts commonly involve spreads, commissions, overnight financing, currency-conversion charges and slippage. Leverage can turn a small market move into a substantial loss. A stop-loss may not execute at the exact requested price during a gap or fast market.
Rank #2
Be especially cautious of claims such as “zero fees,” “guaranteed signals” or “professional account” offers. A zero-commission account can still charge through the spread, financing or conversion rate. A broker’s terms should explain how it makes money and how orders are executed.
What to do if you have already deposited money
- Stop sending funds. Do not pay a further fee to recover an apparent balance.
- Request a withdrawal in writing. Keep the request, response and any stated reason for delay.
- Preserve evidence. Save the website address, account statements, transaction IDs, emails, messages, telephone numbers and recipient bank or wallet details. Take screenshots before access is removed.
- Contact your payment provider quickly. Ask your bank or card issuer about a recall, chargeback or fraud report. Card payments may offer more dispute options than bank transfers or cryptocurrency, but timing matters.
- Report the firm. Contact your national financial regulator and police or cybercrime reporting service. If the firm claimed UK authorization, report it to the FCA even if you are outside the UK.
- Secure your accounts. Change reused passwords, enable two-factor authentication and remove remote-access software that a “broker” asked you to install.
Kingston Trading review: the practical conclusion
Kingston Trading should be treated as unverified and high risk unless you can independently match the precise legal entity to an active regulatory authorization. A polished platform, a persuasive account manager, a small successful withdrawal or a registration number on the website is not enough.
Rank #3
Do not confuse company registration with broker authorization. A company may be incorporated without being allowed to provide investment services or hold client funds. Also, a regulator warning about one website does not automatically cover every similarly named company—but it is a strong reason to check the exact domain and entity carefully.

Is Kingston Trading regulated?
The name alone does not establish regulation. Check the exact legal entity and authorization in the official register for your country. If you cannot find a matching firm with permission to provide the advertised service, do not deposit.

Can I trust a Kingston Trading account manager who contacted me online?
No unsolicited contact should be treated as proof of legitimacy. Verify the firm independently, avoid remote-access requests and never send money to a personal account or cryptocurrency wallet.
What if Kingston Trading says I must pay a fee before withdrawing?
Do not pay it. A demand for tax, insurance, clearance or an unlocking fee is a major investment-scam warning sign. Contact your bank or card provider and report the matter.

Is a company-registration certificate proof that Kingston Trading is a broker?
No. Incorporation only shows that a company was registered. It does not prove authorization to arrange trades, provide investment advice or hold client money.
How can I check whether a broker is genuine?
Identify the legal entity, search the relevant regulator’s official register independently, match the website and contact details, confirm the exact permissions and check that deposits go to an account in the regulated firm’s name.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Kingston Trading is not sufficiently verifiable for me to recommend it as a broker. Treat any website or representative using that name as high risk until its exact legal entity and investment authorization are confirmed through an official regulator. If you are already being asked for additional money to withdraw, stop paying and contact your payment provider immediately.
