Its October 2, 2026 notice sets out a temporary withdrawal pause, a 24-hour delay once withdrawals resume, and an October 26 deadline for using the normal Blast interface. Check Blast’s official notice and bridge immediately before acting: the announcement does not establish whether the pause has ended.
What Blast’s shutdown notice means for your funds
Blast announced on October 2, 2026 that it is winding down because the ongoing costs of maintaining the L2 exceed the revenue it generates, with no credible path to economic sustainability. The notice asks users to withdraw assets from Blast to Ethereum mainnet and explicitly includes balances held in the Blast PWA. Read Blast’s announcement.
The announcement describes a temporary pause while Blast withdraws its Lido assets. That process was expected to take approximately one week; user withdrawals are unavailable during it. After the process completes, Blast says withdrawals will resume with a 24-hour delay. These are announced timings, not confirmation of the pause’s current status or a guarantee that every asset is available at a particular moment.
How to withdraw through the normal Blast interface
- Check the current official status. Read Blast’s shutdown notice and open the official Blast Bridge. The bridge interface exposes a Withdraw control and wallet-connection prompt, but those visible controls alone do not confirm that withdrawals are enabled.
- Connect your wallet using the official interface. Confirm that you are on the Blast Bridge site before connecting. Never disclose your seed phrase or private key to anyone.
- Check the withdrawal options and current notice. The captured interface shows ETH and BLAST selectors, but the announcement does not document separate procedures for every asset type. Follow the live official interface and any current instructions that apply to your balance.
- Submit a withdrawal only when the official interface indicates it is available. Blast’s announced post-pause withdrawal delay is 24 hours. Check the transaction details in your wallet before approving it, and keep the confirmation information for your records.
- Complete the normal-interface route by October 26, 2026. Blast identifies that date as the last day for withdrawals through the ordinary interface. Do not wait until the deadline if you can withdraw earlier.
Withdrawal routes and deadlines
| Route | When | What Blast says | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal Blast interface | Through October 26, 2026 | Users can withdraw through the ordinary interface, subject to the announced temporary pause and the subsequent 24-hour delay. | Use the official bridge if withdrawals are available, and check Blast’s current notice first. |
| Direct bridge-contract interaction on Ethereum L1 | After October 26, 2026 | Blast says assets will remain withdrawable through direct interaction with bridge contracts on Ethereum L1. The announcement captured here provides no contract address, function name, calldata, or procedure; Blast said detailed instructions would follow. | Wait for detailed instructions published through official Blast channels. Do not guess contract calls or rely on unsolicited instructions. |
If the normal interface is unavailable or the deadline passes
If you encounter a pause, do not treat the interface as proof that your funds are lost or that a withdrawal is ready. Check Blast’s official announcement and bridge again for current status. If the interface deadline has passed, use only Blast’s promised official instructions for direct interaction with the Ethereum L1 bridge contracts. The announcement does not provide enough detail to safely walk through that contract route, so do not improvise with an address, function, or transaction supplied by an unverified person.

Be wary of unsolicited messages claiming to provide withdrawal support. Verify instructions on Blast’s official channels, and never share your seed phrase or private key.

An older Blast developer page that says withdrawals take approximately seven days is labeled Testnet. It does not establish the mainnet shutdown timetable. For this wind-down, Blast’s October 2, 2026 notice says withdrawals will resume with a 24-hour delay after the Lido-asset process ends. Blast’s testnet withdrawal documentation.
