A “bestseller” label does not tell you whether the Cybertruck is selling well at its current price. It needs a defined market, vehicle category and time period. In February 2026, Tesla cut the U.S. Cyberbeast’s price and introduced a less expensive dual-motor version—moves consistent with trying to reach more buyers, but not proof of a Cybertruck-specific sales slump.
What did Tesla change about Cybertruck pricing?
Reuters reported on February 20, 2026, that Tesla introduced a dual-motor all-wheel-drive Cybertruck at $59,990 in the United States. It also reported that Tesla reduced the Cyberbeast’s price from $114,990 to $99,990. Reuters called the new dual-motor model Tesla’s “most affordable” Cybertruck yet. Reuters’ February 2026 report
The Cyberbeast change was not necessarily a like-for-like price cut: Reuters said Tesla appeared to be discontinuing the Luxe Package, which had included Supervised Full Self-Driving and free Supercharger access. The lower sticker price therefore coincided with a change in included benefits.
These are reported U.S. prices from February 2026, not confirmation of a live offer on October 4, 2026. Check Tesla’s current listing and the included equipment before comparing prices.

Is the Cybertruck really the best-selling electric pickup?
The available reporting does not verify the exact ranking behind Tesla’s “bestselling” wording. Without a stated geography, period and comparison group, the label cannot establish whether the Cybertruck outsold all pickups, all electric pickups, or some narrower set over a particular interval.
A vehicle can lead a limited category or period and still need a lower price to attract additional buyers. A ranking, even when clearly defined, does not show that demand remains strong at the current price. The February 2026 price changes are evidence of a pricing move—not a Cybertruck sales figure.

What do Tesla’s companywide numbers show—and not show?
Tesla’s FY2025 filing reported a 9% decline in automotive sales revenue. The company attributed it to about 8% fewer cash deliveries and lower average selling prices, reflecting sales mix and higher customer incentives, including attractive financing options. That is relevant context for Tesla’s pricing strategy, but it covers the company’s automotive business, not Cybertruck demand specifically. Tesla’s FY2025 filing
Tesla reported 1.64 million vehicle deliveries in 2025, down 9% year over year, while BYD reported 2.26 million vehicles sold, according to the Associated Press. Those companywide totals do not establish the Cybertruck’s sales rank. Associated Press report on 2025 vehicle sales

Tesla’s Q1 2026 update reported 358,023 total deliveries and 27 days of global vehicle inventory. Its public summary groups Cybertruck within “Other models” rather than giving a separate count, so those figures cannot establish a Cybertruck sales trend. Tesla’s Q1 2026 update

How should a buyer interpret the lower price?
- Compare the same configuration. The $59,990 figure was for a newly introduced dual-motor AWD model; the Cyberbeast price was reported separately.
- Compare what is included. The reported Cyberbeast price change coincided with the apparent removal of benefits in the Luxe Package.
- Check the date and market. The quoted figures are U.S. prices Reuters reported in February 2026, not a verified current offer.
- Separate sticker price from financing. Tesla’s filing discusses higher incentives companywide, including attractive financing, but does not identify a Cybertruck-specific financing offer.
