Outdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down

A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11To set a Bitcoin alert around your entry price, choose the BTC market and quote currency you use to track your position, enter your chosen threshold, and select whether the alert should trigger above, below, or when price crosses that level. Then enable a delivery method and check that the alert is active and has not expired. An alert is a notification to review your plan—not an order to buy or sell.
Decide what you want the alert to tell you
Your entry price is a reference point, not automatically a support level, fair value, or recommended trading trigger. First decide what you want to notice: BTC returning to that price, moving below it, moving above it, or approaching a separate threshold on either side.
- For a reminder at the exact reference, set the target to that price.
- For an earlier or later reminder, choose your own nearby price or percentage buffer and label its purpose. Kraken, for example, documents controls for entering a price or adjusting it by a percentage from the current market price; no reviewed platform prescribes a universally appropriate buffer.
Name the alert to make its purpose clear, such as “BTC below entry — review.” A label helps distinguish a reminder from a trading instruction.
Choose the market that matches your price reference
Select the exchange market or chart symbol you actually use to monitor BTC. Confirm both the venue and quote currency—for example, BTC/USD versus BTC/USDT—before setting the threshold. Alert workflows ask you to choose a pair or market, and the platform guides do not establish that prices are identical across venues.

Choose the trigger direction carefully
Trigger labels vary, so check how the selected app defines them. A threshold can be reached from either side, or the alert can be limited to a particular direction.
- Either direction: “Reaches” or “Crossing” can notify when price falls to or rises to a target. Binance defines “Price reaches” this way; TradingView describes “Crossing” as reaching or passing a threshold from either direction.
- Upward move: Select “Above” or “Crossing up” where available. Coinbase offers above/below conditions; TradingView documents a separate “Crossing up” operator.
- Downward move: Select “Below” or “Crossing down” where available. TradingView distinguishes crossing from “Greater than” and “Less than,” so check whether your chosen rule triggers at the threshold, on crossing it, or while price remains on one side.
Set the alert in your preferred app or chart
Exact menus can change. These are the documented workflows; check the current app and regional availability if a label or feature differs.

Coinbase mobile
- Find and select the asset, then add it to your watchlist.
- Tap the bell-plus control and choose Add Alert.
- Choose Above or Below, enter the target price, and tap Save.
Coinbase price alerts are for watchlisted assets. Its help documentation says alerts “do not place an order for that asset.” Coinbase’s price-alert help page explains the feature.
Binance app or desktop
Binance’s documented app flow is to switch to Binance Pro, open Markets, select the pair, tap Alert, choose a condition, enter the target and frequency, then create the alert. On desktop, the documented route is Alerts → Create Alert, followed by choosing the pair, alert type, and frequency. An optional note can help identify the alert’s purpose.

Kraken Pro
Open Alerts, choose the market and trigger parameters, then enter a target price or use the percentage adjustment controls. Active alerts can be reviewed, edited, or deleted. Kraken says Futures alerts cannot currently be created in the app, although mobile notifications may be received for Futures alerts created on web. See Kraken’s alert instructions.

TradingView
Set the primary condition to Price and choose an operator such as Crossing, Crossing up, Crossing down, Greater than, or Less than. Name the alert and customize its message so the notification explains what the price level means to you. TradingView’s instructions cover creating alerts and alert conditions, frequency, and expiry.
Compare the alert features that matter
| Platform | Documented setup | Direction and controls | Delivery and limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coinbase | Mobile; asset must be on watchlist | Above or below target | Push, in-app, and/or email settings are documented; other limits not stated in the cited help page. |
| Binance | Pro app and desktop | Condition and frequency selected during setup | Binance’s 2026 help page states 10 alerts per trading pair, 50 total across pairs, and 90-day validity; these are feature limits and may change. |
| Kraken Pro | Web and mobile alert management | Market and trigger parameters; price or percentage adjustment | Push requires operating-system and app permissions on mobile; web notifications require operating-system and browser permissions. Futures alerts cannot be created in the app. |
| TradingView | Chart-based alert setup | Crossing, crossing up/down, greater than, or less than | Frequency and expiry are configurable; quotas depend on plan, and open-ended expiry is unavailable for watchlist alerts. |
These differences matter more than naming one service “best”: use a platform that offers the market you mean to track and the trigger and delivery settings you need.

Check delivery, frequency, and expiry
Creating an alert does not by itself confirm that a notification can reach you. Check the platform’s alert settings and the device or browser permissions that apply.
- Coinbase: Check push, in-app, and/or email controls for custom alerts.
- Binance: Enable app notifications in phone settings, or system notifications for its desktop app. The documented 2026 limits are 10 alerts per trading pair, 50 alerts total across pairs, and 90-day validity; limits and interface details may change.
- Kraken: For mobile push, enable notifications both in the operating system and inside the app. For web alerts, enable them in the operating system and browser.
- TradingView: Choose whether an alert triggers once, every time, once per bar close, or once per minute, and set its expiry date. Alert quotas depend on plan; open-ended expiry is not available for watchlist alerts.
After creating an alert, confirm it appears among active alerts with the intended market, threshold, direction, and expiry. Check it again after changing devices, notification permissions, or accounts; recreate it if it expires. Platform documentation describes settings but does not guarantee delivery time or uninterrupted notification service.
Remember what an alert cannot do
A price alert only sends a notification under the selected conditions. It does not place an order, guarantee that you will see the message immediately, or ensure a trade at the threshold. Treat it as a prompt to review the market and your own plan—not as execution or financial advice.
