As of October 4, 2026, it is a historical deal, not a live price or purchase option. Notebookcheck reported that all eight games carried a Steam Deck compatibility label: six Verified and two Playable.
Which games were in the Carnage Collection?
Notebookcheck’s January 2, 2026 report listed these eight titles and their Steam Deck labels. “Verified” and “Playable” are the labels reported by that article; they are not independent performance tests, and a label does not guarantee identical results across settings or software versions.
| Game | Play style | Deck label reported | Steam rating and reviews reported in 2026 | Historical Steam all-time low reported in 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dead Island 2 | First-person zombie game with co-op | Playable | 76% positive; around 6,500 reviews | $4.99 |
| Trepang2 | Fast-paced first-person shooter | Verified | 94% positive; over 10,000 reviews | $10.19 |
| Hellboy Web of Wyrd | Roguelike action brawler | Verified | 72% positive; over 651 reviews | $9.99 |
| Maneater | Open-world action with RPG elements | Verified | 89% positive; over 7,200 reviews | $3.99 |
| Laika: Aged through Blood | Atmospheric 2D platformer | Verified | 93% positive; around 3,000 reviews | $5.38 |
| Warstride Challenges | 3D platforming, gunplay and parkour | Playable | 90% positive; around 250 reviews | $7.99 |
| Easy Red 2 | World War II first-person shooter | Verified | 90% positive; over 5,000 reviews | $3.24 |
| Death in the Water 2 | Underwater survival horror | Verified | 83% positive; over 1,600 reviews | $3.74 |
The ratings and approximate review counts are article-time snapshots from Notebookcheck’s 2026 report, not current Steam totals. Its historical low prices are also source-reported figures; prices can vary by region and may since have been superseded. Notebookcheck’s report is the source for the lineup, compatibility labels and figures.
What did the deal cost, and when did it end?
Notebookcheck reported a $15 total price, about $1.87 per game, and a stated combined regular-price value of $208. The offer’s reported expiry was January 23, 2026. That date has passed, so those figures describe the promotion as reported at the time—not an available price or a current saving. The $208 value is the article’s stated comparison, not a guarantee that every buyer would otherwise have paid that amount.

How to read the Steam Deck labels
The report categorized Dead Island 2 and Warstride Challenges as Steam Deck Playable, and the other six games as Steam Deck Verified. These labels indicate reported compatibility categories, not a promise of a particular frame rate, battery life, graphics setting or experience in every game. Notebookcheck did not provide measured performance results in its deal report, so use the labels as a compatibility reference rather than a substitute for title-specific performance testing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the collection’s mix means for players
The lineup spans shooters, action games, platforming and horror rather than eight variations on one style. Trepang2 and Easy Red 2 are the clearest first-person shooter picks; Dead Island 2 adds co-op zombie combat, while Death in the Water 2 shifts survival horror underwater. Maneater offers open-world action, Hellboy Web of Wyrd a brawling structure, and Laika: Aged through Blood and Warstride Challenges cover distinct platforming approaches. The reported Steam ratings offer a rough snapshot of player reception, but the review counts differ substantially and neither rating nor compatibility label predicts whether a particular game will suit you.
