Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the third film in the franchise, opened to an estimated $75.5 million worldwide over its opening weekend in November 2025. That is an opening-weekend estimate—not a lifetime-gross milestone reached in three days.

What was Now You See Me 3’s global opening?

Lionsgate reported an estimated worldwide opening weekend of $75.5 million in its November 17, 2025 release announcement. The studio attributed $21.3 million to North America and $54.2 million to 64 international territories. Lionsgate also said the film opened at number one in North America and in 40 countries. Lionsgate’s announcement gives the studio’s figures; the Associated Press separately reported the opening on November 16, 2025. AP report

How did the international markets contribute?

The $54.2 million international portion covered 64 territories, not just a single overseas market. Lionsgate’s announcement named China at $19.2 million, CIS at $6.4 million, Latin America at $5.5 million, Korea at $3.9 million, France at $3.5 million and the UK at $3.2 million. CIS and Latin America are regional labels in the studio’s accounting, so those figures should not be read as totals for one country.

How does the opening compare with the film’s later total?

An opening weekend is a short initial period; cumulative theatrical gross adds up ticket sales over the film’s theatrical run. The Numbers recorded Now You See Me: Now You Don’t at $245,590,308 worldwide as of October 4, 2026, comprising $61,882,396 domestic and $183,707,912 international. Those are the database’s later cumulative theatrical totals, distinct from Lionsgate’s $75.5 million opening estimate, and may be revised. The Numbers film record

What did Lionsgate say about the opening?

Kevin Grayson, president of worldwide distribution for Lionsgate’s motion picture group, told the Associated Press, “Honestly, I didn’t see us being number one for the weekend about 10 days ago,” before describing ticket sales gaining momentum. AP reported that Grayson said, “Then we pulled away Saturday morning.” These were remarks reported by AP, not quotations from Lionsgate’s press release.
