Panera introduced Croissant Toast and two sandwiches made with it on April 16, 2025, as limited-time items in its spring lunch and dinner menu. The bread was sliced sandwich bread made from croissant dough; the sandwiches were a ham-and-cheese Croque Monsieur and a meatless-in-its-listed-ingredients Fromage. Panera did not announce an end date, and current availability is unconfirmed.
What was Panera Croissant Toast?
Panera described Croissant Toast as sliced sandwich bread made from all-butter croissant dough, with a crisp crust and a flaky, buttery layered interior. Those are the company’s descriptions of the product, rather than independently tested characteristics. The item was introduced as bread for restaurant sandwiches, not as a packaged retail loaf.
What were the two Croissant Toast sandwiches?
| Sandwich | Ingredients listed by Panera | How they differ |
|---|---|---|
| Croque Monsieur Croissant Toast | Black Forest ham, provolone and asiago cheeses, and caramelized onion and gruyere spread | Ham-and-cheese option |
| Fromage Croissant Toast | Provolone and American cheeses, caramelized onions, arugula, and garlic aioli | No meat appears in the ingredients Panera listed; it includes arugula and garlic aioli |
Panera’s announcement does not provide prices, nutrition facts, or allergen details for either sandwich. The Fromage’s listed ingredients contain no meat, but that alone does not establish whether it suits a particular vegetarian diet; check ingredients and preparation with the cafe if that matters to you. Panera’s April 16, 2025 announcement has the launch descriptions.
When did the sandwiches launch, and were they limited-time?
Panera said the sandwiches launched April 16, 2025, for lunch and dinner as part of its spring menu refresh, and described both as limited-time varieties without giving a scheduled end date. The same refresh also included Strawberry Chicken Caprese Salad and the return of Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad and Mexican Street Corn Chowder; those were separate menu items.
#1 Best Overall
In an April 30, 2025 release, Panera again called the Croissant Toast sandwiches limited-time and said they had quickly become guest favorites. Panera also described Croissant Toast as one of its top-selling sandwiches, but did not publish a sales figure, comparison, or measurement period. That is the company’s qualitative claim, not a quantified or independent sales result. The April 30 release also announced a Croissant Clutch promotional offer.

The launch was limited-time, but Panera’s April 16 announcement did not set an end date. Its press-room index includes later 2026 menu announcements, but those announcements do not establish whether Croissant Toast is still offered at any cafe. Check the menu for your local Panera or contact the cafe before making a trip; current availability is not confirmed by the published announcements.

Panera’s April 30, 2025 Croissant Clutch offer was a historical promotion priced at $39.50 plus tax with a $15 Panera gift card. It was described as limited-edition merchandise sold through Panera’s shop while supplies lasted; that announcement does not establish that the item or the sandwiches are available online now.
