The reported $600 Xbox Series X Amazon bundle was a past deal, not a confirmed offer today. A December 23, 2025 Kotaku Deals post described it as 8% off a $650 comparison price, but the available evidence does not establish that the offer is still live, that it was an all-time low, or that Microsoft is currently clearing out consoles.
Is the Xbox Series X on sale right now?
No current retailer offer or inventory was confirmed in the available information. Microsoft’s US product page displayed the 1TB Carbon Black model at $799.99 when accessed October 4, 2026, but Microsoft notes that prices and availability can vary by retailer. That displayed price is not evidence of a market-wide low or a clearance sale. Check Microsoft’s Xbox Series X product page for its current listings.
The all-consoles catalog also surfaced a $799.99 listing for the 1TB Series X and a $649.99 certified-refurbished listing; other catalog results marked listings sold out. Those conflicting signals do not confirm that a particular retailer has a specific console in stock. Microsoft’s all-consoles catalog is not a substitute for checking a retailer’s live product page and checkout price.
What was the reported $600 deal?
Kotaku Deals reported on December 23, 2025, that Amazon offered an Xbox Series X bundle for $600, compared with a stated $650 reference price. The post characterized the discount as 8% and said the bundle included a wireless controller; it identified the console as having 1TB of built-in storage. This is a dated deal report, not confirmation of today’s price, stock, bundle contents, or an all-time-low record. Read the December 23, 2025 Kotaku Deals report.

Check which Xbox Series X a price applies to
“Xbox Series X” can refer to different configurations, so a headline price is useful only when the version and condition are clear. Microsoft’s US product page lists these configurations:
| Configuration | Drive and capacity | Price shown by Microsoft, accessed October 4, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Carbon Black | Disc drive; 1TB | $799.99 |
| Robot White | All-digital; 1TB | $749.99 |
| Galaxy Black special edition | Disc drive; 2TB | Not stated for this model in the cited Microsoft listing |
Microsoft says prices and availability may vary by retailer, so these displayed amounts are reference points rather than guaranteed checkout prices. Before comparing deals, check whether the listing is new or refurbished, includes a bundle, and has the disc drive or digital-only configuration you want.

Does the evidence support “all-time low” or “Microsoft clears out consoles”?
No. The reported $600 offer establishes only that Kotaku Deals described a particular Amazon bundle at that price on December 23, 2025. The available sources do not provide an independent market-wide price history to prove an all-time low, nor do they establish a current Microsoft clearance. A sale price should not be treated as a record without a dated, reliable price-history comparison for the same configuration and condition.

Microsoft says its Series X|S Storage Expansion Card connects through the console’s dedicated expansion port and matches the custom SSD’s performance. It is sold separately. If a console’s built-in capacity matters to your choice, include the cost of any optional expansion you expect to need rather than treating it as part of the console price.
