What to Do If a Points Transfer to Hyatt Is Delayed or Missing

Hyatt has no universal inbound-transfer deadline. Check your sender’s history and timing window, then ask the sender to trace an overdue transfer and Hyatt to check the destination account.

If points you transferred to World of Hyatt have not appeared, first check the sending program’s transfer history and wait through that program’s full published processing window. There is no single Hyatt-wide deadline for transfers from banks and rewards programs. Once the sender’s maximum window has passed, ask the sender to trace the transaction and ask Hyatt to check the destination account. Do not make a duplicate transfer while the first is unresolved.

Check that the transfer was submitted to the right account

Start with the sending program’s transaction history rather than an email or an incomplete transfer form. Confirm that the transfer shows as submitted or completed, then note its reference number, amount, date and time, and the World of Hyatt membership number selected. Sign in to the Hyatt account where you expected the points and compare its membership number with the destination recorded by the sender.

If the transfer was sent to another person’s account, check the sender’s eligibility rules. For example, Bilt says partner transfers can go only to an account in the member’s own name. Its terms do not establish that every other sender has the same rule.

Wait according to the program that sent the points

Transfer estimates differ by sender; neither of the following is a universal Hyatt guarantee. Allow the full stated maximum for the program you used before treating the transfer as overdue.

Sending program Typical estimate Stated maximum Important account or transfer terms
Chase Ultimate Rewards Most partner transfers process by the next business day. Up to seven business days, according to Chase’s transfer guidance; the help page does not state a publication date. Transfers are generally in 1,000-point increments and are final. Confirm the ratio and card eligibility shown for your account before any future transfer.
Bilt Rewards Most partner transfers complete within 20 minutes. Up to 48 hours under Bilt’s partner transfer terms; the terms page does not state a publication date. Transfers must go to a partner account in the member’s own name and generally cannot be reversed or canceled.

Business days and elapsed hours are not interchangeable. Use the sender’s own estimate and count it as that program describes; do not substitute another program’s faster timing. Neither issuer’s estimate promises that every transfer will arrive by the typical time.

Escalate after the sender’s maximum window

  1. Contact the sending program first. Use its current official support channel and provide the transaction reference, points amount, timestamp, sending account, and Hyatt membership number. Ask whether the transfer is pending, completed, or failed and whether the sender can trace it.
  2. Contact World of Hyatt about the destination account. Use the support route in your member account or Hyatt’s official contact page. Ask support to check whether points arrived in the membership account you identified.
  3. Keep both case references. Record when you contacted each program and any status or next step it gave you. The official sources do not promise a particular response time or remedy.

This two-sided check reflects the separate roles of the sender and the destination program; it is not a published universal claims procedure. The reviewed official material does not set a general Hyatt-side deadline for inbound bank or rewards transfers.

Do not send a second transfer or use the point-combining form

A submitted transfer may be irreversible. Chase says partner transfers are final, and Hyatt’s terms say partner point conversions are final and non-reversible upon submission, while reserving Hyatt’s ability to refuse or reverse transfers in certain circumstances. Bilt says transfers generally cannot be reversed or canceled. A duplicate transfer could move more points without resolving the first one, so ask the sender to trace the original before deciding what to do next.

Hyatt’s point-combining form is for members combining points for an award redemption, not for tracing points sent from a bank or rewards program. The form requires both members’ signatures, and each member may send or receive points once every 30 days.

Check the transfer ratio before any future transfer

A ratio affects how many Hyatt points a future transfer produces, but it does not explain where an already-submitted transfer is. In a 2026 announcement, Chase said a 4:3 Ultimate Rewards-to-Hyatt rate would take effect October 1, 2026, for specified cardholder groups. The announcement distinguishes Sapphire Preferred applicants before and after June 15, 2026, and lists Ink Business Preferred, Ink Plus, and Corporate Flex for the October change. Eligibility depends on card and application date; check the ratio displayed in your account and your card’s terms before submitting a later transfer.
