Steam’s official 2025 Autumn Sale was over well before Cyber Monday. Valve scheduled it for September 29 through October 6, ending at 10 a.m. PT on the final day. A separate Steam Black Friday sale was reported to run November 24 through December 1, but the available sources do not establish a dedicated Cyber Monday event. Any dates and prices below are historical, not current offers.
When were Steam’s 2025 sales?
Valve’s announced Autumn Sale ran September 29–October 6, 2025. In its September 29 Steam News post, Valve said deals across the store would end October 6 at 10 a.m. PT. Valve’s announcement confirms the dates and the stated promotion.
For late November, PC Gamer reported that Steam was running what it called its first Black Friday sale from November 24 through December 1. That report describes a Black Friday promotion, not a confirmed Cyber Monday-specific sale. PC Gamer’s November 24 report is the source for that event and its examples.

Autumn Sale games and Steam Deck
Valve described Autumn discounts on games across the store and separately promoted 20% off Steam Deck 256GB LCD models, with both offers ending October 6 at 10 a.m. PT. A September 30 PC Gamer roundup recorded selected game prices during that sale:
#1 Best Overall
| Game | Reported historical price | Reported discount |
|---|---|---|
| Helldivers 2 | $31.99 | 20% off |
| The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt | $7.99 | 80% off |
| Control Ultimate Edition | $3.99 | 90% off |
| Civilization 6 | $5.99 | 90% off |
These are examples from PC Gamer’s Autumn Sale roundup, not a complete store catalog. Prices are snapshots from 2025 and can differ by region; they should not be read as current prices or verified all-time lows.
Late-November Black Friday examples
PC Gamer’s Black Friday report listed Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 at 60% off, Battlefield 6 at 15% off, and Dying Light: The Beast at 20% off. The same report said the Steam Deck 256GB LCD was 20% off, with stated prices of $319 in the US and £279 in the UK. Those are the report’s historical examples; they do not establish present pricing, stock, or availability.

Does Steam have Cyber Monday deals?
Steam’s official event information confirms an Autumn Sale in early October, while the late-November event documented by PC Gamer was called a Black Friday sale. The sources reviewed do not establish a separate Cyber Monday-branded sale for 2025. That distinction matters: a promotion extending through December 1 may cover Cyber Monday, but it does not by itself show that Valve announced a distinct Cyber Monday event.
Valve’s Steamworks documentation says, “Four times a year, we run Steam-wide seasonal sale events.” The documentation describes seasonal sales, not a guaranteed Cyber Monday promotion or a promised discount for any particular game. Its published calendar is for 2026–2027, so it cannot confirm 2025 dates or predict an unannounced future event. See Valve’s Upcoming Steam Events documentation.

For a future purchase, compare the live price with your budget, the game’s own verified price history, and the time until the next confirmed official sale. Waiting can make sense if the current price is above what you are willing to pay and you are comfortable delaying play; buying now can make sense if the price already fits your budget. A sale calendar does not guarantee that a specific title will be discounted, or that its next discount will be lower.
