Check your claim through the official Facebook User Privacy Settlement website, for In re: Facebook, Inc. Consumer Privacy User Profile Litigation, Case No. 3:18-md-02843-VC. Use its claimant information and administrator contact route; only the Settlement Administrator can confirm the status of your individual claim.
How to check your claim status
- Go to the official settlement website: facebookuserprivacysettlement.com. Avoid unofficial status-check services or links in unsolicited messages.
- Open the claimant information or contact section. Follow the current instructions and contact the Settlement Administrator through the route listed on the official site if you need an individual update.
- Explain what you need help with. If your claim appears missing, was rejected, or you have not received a payment, ask the administrator to check your claimant record. Have relevant claim details available, but provide sensitive information only through a contact method you verified on the official site.
The exact fields required by any live lookup portal could not be confirmed from the official page content available. Do not assume a particular claim number, email address, or other credential is required; use the instructions currently shown by the administrator.
What the published settlement updates say
The administrator reported that the initial distribution was complete. A court order approved a second distribution on May 6, 2026; an administrator update current May 15, 2026 forecast that it would begin in June 2026 and continue for about four weeks. That forecast period has passed, and the update does not establish whether the second distribution has since begun or finished. Check the official site for newer information rather than treating the old estimate as a current status.
Who could qualify for a payment?
The class covered people in the United States who used Facebook between May 24, 2007 and December 22, 2022, inclusive. Class membership alone did not guarantee a payment: the site says a person also needed to submit a timely, properly completed claim that the Settlement Administrator approved.

The claim deadline has passed
The claim submission deadline was August 25, 2023. If you did not submit a claim by that date, the published deadline has passed; the available information does not indicate that a new claim can now be filed.
Protect yourself from settlement scams
The official site warns about fraud involving requests for sensitive personal information or payment to receive an award. Start at the administrator’s official website, and do not pay an unsolicited intermediary to check your claim or release a settlement payment.
