Where to find Amazon coupons and promo offers
Amazon’s US customer guidance lists several places to look for offers: the Amazon Coupons page, the Amazon Shopping app, product detail pages, and search results. The available offers can vary by item, account, and time, so check Amazon’s live listing for the product you want rather than relying on a code found elsewhere.
- Coupons page: Browse available coupons and open an offer to review its terms.
- Amazon Shopping app: Look for coupons and deals while browsing or searching for products.
- Product detail page: Check near the price and offer information for a coupon or promotion.
- Search results: Offers may appear with a product listing before you open its detail page.
Amazon does not provide a single general promo code that applies to every product or cart. Many discounts are specific to selected items.
How to apply an Amazon offer
- Find the offer. Use the Coupons page, app, search results, or product detail page.
- Read its conditions. Check eligible items, any minimum purchase, account or membership requirements, and the expiration date.
- Follow the offer’s activation method. If it is a coupon, select or clip it as directed. If it is a deal, Amazon says the discount is applied automatically. If the offer supplies a promotional claim code, enter that exact code in the checkout promotional-code field if the offer instructs you to.
- Review the checkout total. Make sure the expected discount appears in the order total before submitting your order.
A coupon can expire while an item is in your cart, according to Amazon’s coupon guidance. Adding an item to your cart therefore does not reserve the coupon or guarantee that it will still apply later.

Coupon, deal, or promo code: what is the difference?

Amazon’s seller education distinguishes coupons from seller promotions and deals. This matters when you are searching for a “promo code”: if an offer is a clip-to-apply coupon or an automatic deal, there may be no code to enter.
Why an Amazon promo code or coupon may not work
There is no universal fix for a failed offer. Reopen the specific offer and compare its terms with the items and account in your order. Check:

- Whether the item or variation in your cart is eligible.
- Whether the coupon or promotion has expired or reached a usage limit.
- Whether the offer requires a particular account, membership, marketplace, or minimum spend.
- Whether the discount must be clipped, applied automatically, or entered as a claim code.
- Whether the offer is still reflected in the checkout total before you place the order.
If the offer’s conditions are not met, or it has expired, the discount may not appear. Do not assume a code listed on a third-party coupon site is valid: Amazon’s guidance identifies its own offer locations and terms, but does not establish that outside listings are working.

Compare the final checkout amount—not just the advertised percentage—with what you are willing to pay for the item. Amazon says its Typical Price, also called “Was” Price, is the median price paid on Amazon during the previous 90 days, excluding prices paid during limited-time deals. Treat that label as reference context rather than proof that a current offer is the lowest available price.

Amazon reported that customers worldwide saved more than $50 billion on Amazon deals and coupons in 2025, in a company article updated August 13, 2026. That is Amazon’s aggregate company-reported figure, not an estimate of savings for an individual shopper.
