Walmart announced its 2025 basket at $39.93 for 10 people. The company described that as less than $4 per person. The price applied to the featured item prices; pickup, shipping or delivery fees could add to the total. Walmart’s announcement said the offer ran from October 20 through December 26, 2025, subject to availability, and excluded Alaska, Hawaii, Wisconsin and Puerto Rico. These dates, fees and exclusions describe the 2025 offer, not confirmed terms for 2026.
What was in the 2025 basket?
The 2025 assortment paired a turkey with side-dish and dessert ingredients. Walmart listed a 13.5-pound Butterball turkey, Stove Top Turkey Stuffing, rolls, potatoes, cranberries, vegetables, macaroni and cheese, gravy mix, pie crust, evaporated milk and pumpkin. Walmart priced the turkey at $0.97 per pound and called it its lowest turkey price since 2019.
This is a list of the items Walmart announced, not a guarantee that every household’s preferred brands, serving sizes or preparation needs were covered. Walmart says its curated basket changes from year to year, so the 2025 contents should not be treated as a 2026 menu.

The Associated Press also cautioned that comparing the two totals as an equivalent 25% reduction is misleading because the items and quantities changed.
