A Scribd listing titled “Grade 11 General Math 2nd Quarter Exam” reproduces a three-page General Mathematics paper with 60 questions. It covers financial mathematics—including simple and compound interest—and logarithms and exponential forms. The listing is a user-uploaded copy, not independently authenticated as an official or current school exam.
What is in the Grade 11 second-quarter exam?
The reproduced paper is headed “SECOND QUARTER EXAMINATION / GENERAL MATHEMATICS.” Its printed header names Calantas Senior High School, Rosario West District, Division of Batangas, and DepEd Region IV-A CALABARZON. A signature block names Jhazel D. Perez as subject teacher and Dr. Rowena D. Ramirez as teacher-in-charge. These are attributions printed on the copy; the Scribd listing does not independently verify its origin or official status. View the Scribd listing.
The exam combines multiple-choice items, table completion, and problem solving. Its questions span financial vocabulary and calculations as well as exponential and logarithmic concepts.
Which financial-math topics should you review?
Loans, investments, and interest vocabulary
Be ready to identify principal, rate, time or term, interest, and maturity value in a lending or investment scenario. The paper also asks about decimal and percentage conversions, so review how to express a rate in the form needed for a calculation.
#1 Best Overall
Simple and compound interest
For simple interest, identify the principal, annual rate, and time before calculating the interest and the maturity value. In compound-interest problems, distinguish interest earned only on the original principal from interest earned on both the principal and previously accumulated interest. The reproduced exam includes annual-compounding examples and word problems involving Philippine pesos, bank deposits, loans, and investments.
Which logarithm and exponential skills appear?
The paper tests movement between exponential and logarithmic form, numerical evaluations, and the use of logarithm properties to expand or condense expressions. It also includes logarithmic equations and inequalities. When solving these, check that logarithm arguments meet their domain restrictions; a candidate solution that makes an argument invalid must be rejected.

How should you prepare efficiently?
- Learn the financial terms. In each word problem, mark which quantity is the principal, rate, time, interest, or maturity value before choosing a calculation.
- Practice simple-interest problems. Write down the principal, annual rate, and time with units, then find interest and maturity value.
- Practice annual compounding. Track how the balance changes when interest is added to principal and can earn interest in later periods.
- Translate logarithms and exponentials. Convert statements in both directions and check numerical evaluations.
- Work with logarithm properties and restrictions. Expand and condense expressions, solve equations or inequalities, and verify that each proposed solution respects the logarithm domains.
- Practice in more than one format. The paper mixes recognition, completion, and written problem solving, so do not prepare only by rereading definitions.
A scientific calculator can be useful for checking arithmetic during practice, but the reproduced exam does not state a required calculator model or whether calculators are permitted during the assessment.

The exact-title result is a Scribd user upload. Although the reproduced pages carry school and education-office attributions, the listing does not establish that this is an authorized school copy, a complete official file, or the current exam. The text also has some extraction or typesetting ambiguity in formulas and item notation, so it should not be relied on as a verified answer key.
