Eligible U.S. residents can file a claim for certain iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 models bought in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. The claim deadline is December 21, 2026. A valid claim currently carries a presumptive payment of $25 per eligible device, but the amount may change and the proposed settlement still needs final court approval.

Am I eligible for Apple’s $250 million iPhone settlement?

You may qualify if you meet every part of the settlement’s purchase and claim requirements. The official settlement website lists the claim process and current instructions.

  • You reside in the United States.
  • You purchased the device in the United States for a purpose other than resale.
  • You purchased it from June 10, 2024, through March 29, 2025.
  • When you bought it, you expected certain Siri Apple Intelligence features on the device and did not receive them. The claim form asks you to confirm this.

Owning a listed model is not enough by itself: the purchase location, dates, purpose and feature-expectation confirmation also matter. The official FAQ explains the eligibility requirements.

Which iPhone models qualify?

The settlement names these seven models:

  • iPhone 16
  • iPhone 16e
  • iPhone 16 Plus
  • iPhone 16 Pro
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max
  • iPhone 15 Pro
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max

Other iPhone models are not included in the listed eligible devices. Check the settlement FAQ if you are unsure which model you own.

How do I file a claim for the Apple AI settlement?

  1. Go to SmartphoneAISettlement.com and follow the claim-form instructions.
  2. Complete and submit your own valid claim by December 21, 2026. You may claim each eligible device you purchased.
  3. Provide current contact information and answer the purchase and feature-expectation questions truthfully. The form also asks for information sufficient to confirm purchase or ownership; follow its instructions for what to provide.
  4. Select a payment method offered on the live form. The official FAQ says claimants may elect a physical check or digital check; check the form for current choices and directions.

Do not assume that a receipt is always required or that one particular document will satisfy the form; use the evidence instructions on the official site. If you do not file a valid claim by the deadline, you will not receive a settlement payment.

How much will I get per iPhone?

Figure What it means
$250 million Total settlement fund stated in the 2026 settlement notice; it is not a guaranteed individual payment. (Settlement FAQ; filed settlement notice)
$25 per eligible device Presumptive amount for a valid claim under the 2026 notice, not a guaranteed final payment. (filed settlement notice)
Up to $95 per eligible device, or less than $25 The notice says the presumptive amount may increase up to $95 or decrease, depending on valid claim volume, the number of devices claimed, court-approved attorneys’ fees and service awards, and notice and administration costs. The final amount will not be known until claims are evaluated. (filed settlement notice)

These figures describe the proposed settlement terms, not a guaranteed check amount. The notice does not establish the final number of claimants or the final payment per device.

Should I file a claim or opt out?

Filing a claim and remaining in the class may make you eligible for a payment, but class members who do not opt out cannot bring or join another lawsuit against Apple based on the claims released by the settlement. Opting out means you will not receive a settlement payment, but preserves the right to bring a related claim. Read the settlement terms carefully; if you need legal advice about your own circumstances, consult a lawyer. The official FAQ describes these consequences.

Is Apple’s settlement final?

No. As of October 3, 2026, final approval is pending. The official FAQ schedules a final approval hearing for February 24, 2027, at 9:00 a.m.; the court may change that date, and appeals may delay any payment. Do not treat a claim submission or the stated presumptive amount as confirmation that you will receive money.
