Digital PR specialist Olivia Smith has returned to Digitaloft as growth director and joined the agency’s senior leadership team. Digitaloft says she will lead marketing and new business, with CEO and founder James Brockbank identifying marketing, sales and events as priorities in the agency’s growth strategy.

BusinessCloud reported on October 1, 2026 that Smith is returning to Digitaloft as growth director. She is also joining its senior leadership team. Digitaloft’s own announcement says her remit includes leading marketing and new business.
Brockbank said marketing, sales and events are essential to the agency’s current growth strategy, and described Smith’s focus on these areas as an exciting next chapter. That is the company’s stated rationale for the appointment, not evidence that the role has already produced business growth.
Smith’s previous work with Digitaloft
Digitaloft’s company post says Smith first joined the agency in 2017 and remained until 2023. She previously served as its digital PR director. BusinessCloud describes her as having just short of a decade of digital PR experience, including work scaling departments and leading strategies for global brands.

What Smith did between her Digitaloft roles
After leaving Digitaloft, Smith founded Northbound PR and worked as a senior consultant. The announcement does not provide details about Northbound PR’s size, structure or commercial terms.
Digitaloft describes itself as a specialist SEO agency helping brands appear in searches connected to buying decisions. Its stated approach brings SEO, content and digital PR together around business impact, according to its About Us page.

What Digitaloft and Smith said about the return
Smith said she had followed the agency’s growth while away and was excited to re-join and help drive its future success. Brockbank described her as having played a pivotal part in the agency’s earlier growth and said her experience would be an asset as Digitaloft develops its brand.
