McCormick & Company’s third-quarter fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings per share were $0.86, beating the $0.76 analyst consensus cited by Investing.com by $0.10. Revenue was $2.02 billion, above the cited $1.98 billion estimate. The quarter was reported October 1, 2026; these comparisons refer to Q3, not McCormick’s similarly worded Q2 earnings story from June.
What McCormick reported for Q3 2026
Investing.com’s October 1, 2026, report put McCormick’s adjusted EPS at $0.86 versus a $0.76 analyst consensus, a $0.10 beat. It reported revenue of $2.02 billion compared with consensus of $1.98 billion. The company’s release independently reported adjusted diluted EPS of $0.86. The consensus figures are Investing.com’s, not estimates published in McCormick’s release.
McCormick’s own release shows a more complex earnings picture than the headline alone: GAAP diluted EPS was $0.36, compared with $0.84 in Q3 2025, while adjusted diluted EPS was $0.86, compared with $0.85 a year earlier. The consensus beat therefore does not mean reported earnings rose year over year.
Why GAAP and adjusted earnings differ
McCormick said special charges reduced Q3 diluted EPS by $0.50 per share. The charges included transaction and integration costs and a noncash impairment charge. Adjusted EPS excludes specified items to provide a measure distinct from GAAP results; the two figures answer different questions and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Sales growth: reported results versus organic sales
McCormick reported net-sales growth of 17.4%, while organic sales growth was 1.9%. The company said the McCormick de Mexico acquisition contributed to reported sales growth. Reported growth includes the effect of the business acquired; organic growth is the more relevant company measure for viewing sales apart from that contribution. The 17.4% figure should not be read as the rate of underlying organic growth.

Do not confuse this with McCormick’s Q2 beat
The $0.10 headline was also used for a separate second-quarter report in June 2026. That quarter’s Investing.com comparison was EPS of $0.80 against $0.70 consensus, with revenue of $1.94 billion against $1.91 billion consensus. Those are Q2 figures, not the Q3 results above.

What the earnings beat establishes
The reported Q3 adjusted EPS and revenue exceeded the consensus figures cited by Investing.com. That establishes a beat against those estimates, but it does not by itself show how McCormick’s shares responded or establish the estimate provider’s analyst-panel methodology. McCormick CEO Brendan M. Foley characterized the results as demonstrating “the resilience and differentiated performance of our flavor-focused business model in a dynamic operating environment”; that is the company’s assessment, not an independent evaluation.
