Money Saving Mom reported an effective price of $2.94 for an 18-count pack of Finish Power dishwasher tabs at Walmart, based on a $4.94 price and a $2 Walmart Cash offer. The post said the offer expired October 3, 2026, so it is not a current-price guarantee; check the live listing and coupon terms before buying.
How the reported $2.94 price worked
Money Saving Mom’s October 2, 2026 deal post calculated the $2.94 effective price by subtracting a $2 Walmart Cash offer from a $4.94 item price. Walmart Cash is an offer, not an automatic reduction to the shelf price, so the final value depends on the offer being available and its terms being usable for your purchase. The post gave October 3, 2026 as the expiration date. Money Saving Mom’s deal post
Walmart’s listing result showed $4.52 for the same 18-count product, rather than the $4.94 base price used in the deal post. These are two different reported prices, not a single confirmed price. What’s in the pack
The offer concerned one 18-count pack of Finish Power dishwasher detergent tabs. Walmart describes the tabs as everyday detergent intended to tackle food residue and grease without pre-rinsing; those are product claims, not independent performance findings. Walmart product listing

Using and storing the tabs
- With dry hands, place one tab in the dishwasher’s main detergent cup. Finish says the tabs are wrapper-free and designed to release their contents quickly in water. Finish US product page
- Follow your dishwasher manufacturer’s instructions and check that dishes and other items are dishwasher-safe.
- Reseal the package and keep it away from heat and moisture.
Finish recommends Jet-Dry rinse aid for best results in hard water. That is manufacturer guidance, not a tested comparison showing this detergent outperforms other products. Finish US product page

Judge the offer using the price and terms you can actually get: compare the pack’s cost per tab, confirm whether the Walmart Cash offer applies to your purchase, and consider whether rinse aid is useful for your water conditions. The cited sources do not establish a controlled cleaning-performance comparison with competing detergents, so price alone cannot show which brand cleans best.
