What does TSLA stand for?
TSLA is the ticker symbol used to identify Tesla, Inc.’s common stock in market listings and trading systems. It is not an abbreviation for a Tesla product. Tesla states in its 2025 Form 10-K that its common stock has traded on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under TSLA since June 29, 2010.
A ticker helps distinguish a publicly traded security from companies or securities with similar names. When looking up a quote or placing an order, confirm that the listing is Tesla, Inc. common stock and that the exchange and security match what you intend to trade.

What do Tesla’s recent operating figures measure?
Tesla reports production, deliveries and energy storage deployments as separate operating measures. They describe different activities and are not, by themselves, figures for revenue, profit, market share or stock performance.

The ticker identifies the stock; it does not indicate whether the shares are attractively valued or likely to rise or fall. A ticker lookup alone also does not explain the company’s results or risks. Investors assessing a stock generally need to consider financial statements, valuation, business conditions and their own circumstances.

Tesla describes artificial intelligence, Full Self-Driving (Supervised), Robotaxi and Optimus among its areas of focus. Those are company descriptions of strategy and products, not proof of future results or guaranteed timelines. Tesla’s 2025 filing also identifies uncertainties involving trade policy, supply chains, costs, demand and profitability. Read such statements as company disclosures of risks and plans, rather than predictions that outcomes are assured.
