Mine is a privacy technology company with a consumer service, MineAPP, for managing personal data exposure and a separate organizational product, MineOS, for privacy, security, and compliance work. Mine’s earlier consumer-product description included finding companies associated with a person’s data, sending deletion requests, and tracking responses—but that detailed workflow comes from a 2021 company post, not current feature documentation.
What Mine does today
On its homepage, Mine positions MineAPP as a tool for individuals to manage personal data online, with the stated aim of minimizing exposure and reducing risk. It presents MineOS as software for organizations to automate data-governance work related to privacy, security, and compliance. These are distinct offerings for different audiences, rather than two names for the same service.
The homepage displays “5,000,000+ consumers” and “500+ companies.” These are Mine’s own undated figures, shown on the homepage when accessed September 30, 2026; they are not independently verified totals.
How the consumer service was described
In a December 5, 2021 post, Mine described a consumer workflow in three stages:

- Discover: identify companies that may hold a user’s personal data.
- Request: send requests to those companies, including requests to delete personal data.
- Track: monitor responses and any action the user needs to take to complete a request.
Mine’s post said its service analyzed company responses and displayed statuses such as in process, awaiting a response, requiring user action, or completed. That description helps explain how Mine intended to answer questions like “Which companies have my personal data?” and “How can I track a deletion request?” It documents the product as described in 2021; it does not confirm that every step or status is available in MineAPP today.
The same post claimed: “In 30 sec you can discover your digital footprint and see all companies that hold your personal data.” This is Mine’s own performance claim, not an independently verified result. The post does not establish that every company holding someone’s data will be identified.

How Mine expanded beyond its consumer origins
A TechCrunch report published December 5, 2023 described Mine’s expansion from a consumer privacy product toward business and enterprise use cases. It characterized the earlier consumer product as using AI and natural-language processing to scan email subject lines for companies associated with a user’s data. That report is useful for understanding the company’s evolution, but it is dated reporting—not current technical documentation of MineAPP or MineOS.

If you are considering Mine for your personal data, confirm the current MineAPP features and the information or account access it needs before using it. In particular, verify whether it currently identifies relevant companies, supports the request types you want to make, and shows the status of requests. The available current company information establishes MineAPP’s broad purpose, but not those detailed capabilities or their effectiveness.

For an organization evaluating MineOS, treat it as a separate organizational privacy-governance product and check its current scope against your own requirements. The consumer workflow described in Mine’s 2021 post should not be assumed to describe MineOS.

What the evidence establishes—and what it does not
- Established: Mine currently presents MineAPP for individual privacy management and MineOS for organizational privacy, security, and compliance work.
- Historically described: Mine’s 2021 consumer workflow included discovering companies, sending requests, and monitoring replies and required actions.
- Not established: the precise MineAPP features available today, how comprehensively it identifies companies, its current request-tracking functions, or independent validation of Mine’s displayed scale figures.
- Not established: a current comparative performance ranking against other privacy services.
