Na prática, o cálculo pode diferir porque a média reúne países e planos distintos. Não converta o centavo para reais sem indicar uma cotação e uma data: além de o câmbio mudar, a média não representa uma taxa específica para o Brasil.
O artista recebe o centavo inteiro?
Não necessariamente. Os royalties são destinados aos titulares de direitos e chegam ao artista segundo contratos e divisões aplicáveis. Uma faixa envolve direitos sobre a gravação — muitas vezes chamada de master — e sobre a composição. Gravadoras, intérpretes, compositores, editoras, produtores e outros titulares podem ter participação.

Apple Music paga mais que Spotify?

Como um artista independente recebe e confere os royalties?
Em geral, o artista independente precisa disponibilizar a gravação por uma distribuidora e acompanhar os relatórios e repasses sob os termos contratados. Antes de lançar, convém confirmar:
- quem controla o master e quais colaboradores têm participação;
- se os nomes dos titulares, divisões e metadados estão corretos;
- quais são as comissões, tarifas, periodicidade de pagamento e regras de remoção do catálogo;
- como são tratados códigos ISRC e UPC, relatórios e eventuais divisões automáticas;
- se composição e direitos editoriais estão devidamente registrados;
- como reivindicar e administrar o perfil no Apple Music for Artists.
