MEXC announced a partnership with pump.fun on March 21, 2025, to connect its DEX+ trading interface with PumpSwap, pump.fun’s native decentralized exchange. MEXC announced the PumpSwap integration four days later. For traders, the practical promise was earlier access to some on-chain tokens through MEXC’s app or website—not a guarantee that every pump.fun token would be available, liquid, or safe to trade.
What MEXC and pump.fun announced
The March 21, 2025, MEXC-issued announcement described a “strategic partnership” focused initially on integrating PumpSwap with MEXC DEX+. The stated aim was to bring on-chain trading into a familiar exchange interface and give users access to newly launched tokens before they receive conventional centralized-exchange listings. MEXC’s announcement, distributed through PR Newswire, said the initial emphasis was Solana and claimed access to more than 10,000 tokens associated with Raydium and pump.fun. That number was MEXC’s platform claim, not an independently audited count or a promise that each token would have usable liquidity.
The available announcements establish a product integration and ecosystem collaboration. They do not disclose an investment, ownership stake, exclusivity, revenue sharing, joint venture, guaranteed token listings, or guaranteed liquidity. “Strategic partnership” should not be read as evidence of a merger or a deeper financial arrangement.
How DEX+ differs from MEXC spot trading
MEXC presents DEX+ as an account-based way to access on-chain assets through its app and website. Instead of connecting and managing a separate self-custody wallet for each trade, a user transfers funds into a DEX+ account and trades through MEXC’s interface. See the MEXC DEX+ FAQ and DEX+ guide for the product’s operating description.

That convenience does not make a DEX+ trade equivalent to a purchase on MEXC’s centralized spot market. Spot trading uses MEXC’s internal order books; DEX+ relies on on-chain pools and its execution system. Prices can differ, and DEX+ results depend on pool liquidity, network conditions, token-contract behavior, and platform support. The interface can reduce wallet-management friction, but it does not remove on-chain market risk or give the user the same direct private-key control as self-custody.
What PumpSwap integration adds
pump.fun is a token-launch ecosystem; PumpSwap is its native DEX. The initial integration target was PumpSwap, rather than only pump.fun’s launch interface. On March 25, 2025, MEXC said DEX+ had become the first DEX aggregator to integrate with PumpSwap, and described broader Solana asset coverage, improved liquidity access, and a trending-assets leaderboard as benefits. Those are MEXC’s claims and stated aims, not independently measured outcomes. MEXC’s PumpSwap integration announcement also described a leaderboard covering assets from pump.fun’s peer-to-peer market and external markets.

The general flow is that a token launches in the pump.fun ecosystem, trades on-chain as liquidity and demand develop, and may then be exposed through DEX+ if supported. This can provide access before a conventional centralized listing, but it does not mean every launched token is listed on DEX+, approved, liquid, or straightforward to sell.
How the rollout developed
- March 21, 2025: MEXC announced the pump.fun partnership and described the initial PumpSwap integration plan, with Solana as the initial chain emphasis. The release claimed access to more than 10,000 Raydium- and pump.fun-associated tokens.
- March 24, 2025: MEXC announced BNB Smart Chain support, with access to PancakeSwap-related BSC assets. See the BSC integration announcement and follow-up.
- March 25, 2025: MEXC announced the PumpSwap integration.
- Later updates: MEXC announced other DEX+ features and initiatives, including a Rising Star event and MEXC Alpha. Its BSC announcement described planned expansion toward Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Avalanche, and zkSync; planned expansion is not proof of present support. Check the current interface rather than relying on a historical roadmap.
- 2026 operational updates: MEXC’s DEX+ trading updates have included temporary pump.fun trading suspensions while support for token-contract changes was upgraded. A market that was supported earlier may not be continuously available.
Costs and trading risks to weigh
MEXC’s FAQ, published November 25, 2025, states a DEX+ trading fee of 1% per trade. That is a dated fee figure, not a guarantee of the fee in effect today. The total cost may also include network gas, token-specific buy or sell taxes, anti-front-running fees, approval or account-opening costs, and the price impact of slippage. Check the current fee details before placing an order. A low displayed fee would not by itself make a trade inexpensive if the pool is thin or the token imposes a tax.

- Liquidity and exit risk: A token can appear tradable yet have too little pool liquidity to sell at a reasonable price. Liquidity can be withdrawn, making trades fail or exits difficult.
- Slippage and price impact: An order large relative to available pool liquidity can move the execution price substantially. A quoted price is not necessarily the price at which the entire order will fill.
- Contract and sellability risk: Some tokens may restrict or prevent selling. MEXC’s FAQ warns about honeypot behavior; seeing a token in a discovery interface does not prove that a normal exit is possible.
- Network and service risk: Transactions require sufficient native network tokens for gas. A token-contract change or support upgrade can also temporarily interrupt trading.
- Price differences: DEX+ pool prices and MEXC spot order-book prices may diverge because they draw on different markets. A difference is not necessarily an error or a dependable arbitrage opportunity.
- Platform and custody dependence: Using an account-based interface reduces some wallet work but makes access dependent on MEXC’s account policies, product availability, and support status. It does not establish that a token has been vetted or that losses are protected.
MEXC’s FAQ also warns that unsupported tokens sent into DEX+ may not be returned or credited. Do not transfer an asset on the assumption that a platform can recover an unsupported deposit.
A practical check before trading a pump.fun-linked token
- Confirm the exact token contract address from a source you trust; names and symbols can be copied.
- Check that the exact asset is currently supported in DEX+ and that trading has not been suspended.
- Review pool liquidity and recent volume, then consider whether the intended order could move the price.
- Investigate whether the token has buy or sell taxes and whether its contract permits selling.
- Estimate all costs: MEXC’s current DEX+ fee, gas, possible token taxes, anti-front-running charges, and slippage.
- Keep enough native-network currency available for required gas where applicable.
- Check that your location, account type, and the activity are eligible under current platform rules.
These checks cannot guarantee a safe trade. They can help expose obvious execution and support problems before committing funds.

Which route fits which trader?
| Route | May suit | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| MEXC DEX+ | Someone who wants a centralized-platform interface for supported on-chain assets and accepts early-token risk. | Less wallet friction, but continued dependence on MEXC’s support and execution, plus pool, contract, and liquidity risks. |
| Direct self-custody trading through a DEX | Someone who wants private-key control and direct access to supported pools and transaction settings. | More control over wallet and transaction choices, with more responsibility for wallet security, addresses, routing, and slippage. |
| Conventional centralized spot market | Someone who prefers an exchange order book and is willing to wait for a centralized listing. | May avoid the particular pool and token-contract execution path of DEX+ but does not guarantee low risk or a listing for a new token. |
For readers considering a pump.fun-linked asset, the key distinction is not simply convenience versus complexity. It is whether early access and an account-based interface are worth accepting less-established markets, potentially difficult exits, and reliance on the platform’s current token support.
What the launch reward did—and did not—mean
The March 2025 announcement advertised a possible 20 USDT reward for new users who completed at least 100 USDT in DEX+ trades. This was a historical launch promotion, not evidence of a current offer; eligibility, geography, and terms may change. Do not trade solely to qualify for a past promotion. The original release contains the announcement.

What remains unclear
The public announcements explain the integration’s product direction, but they do not establish the partnership’s legal or commercial depth, an exclusive arrangement, or a guaranteed level of liquidity. MEXC’s launch-era token count and benefit claims should be understood as company statements, not independent measurements. Supported networks, available tokens, fees, promotional terms, and trading status can change; consult the DEX+ product updates, trading-status updates, and current FAQ before acting.
