What Crypto Marketing Results Are Measurable? ICODA’s Channel-by-Channel Case Data

TechBullion’s 2026 account of ICODA campaigns reports channel-specific results, from AI-search conversions to SEO growth and ad acquisition costs. Here’s how to compare the claims without mistaking case studies for universal benchmarks.

In TechBullion’s October 2, 2026 account of ICODA campaigns, GEO/AI search had the strongest reported conversion comparison, SEO and PR were associated with longer-lasting visibility, and KOL campaigns produced the fastest reach. Those are patterns in agency case examples—not a controlled test proving one channel will outperform another for your project. The practical takeaway is to judge a proposed campaign by its starting baseline, measurement period, conversion definition and independently checkable outcome, not by a headline percentage.

The figures below are claims reported by TechBullion about ICODA-attributed campaigns; the underlying analytics were not included in the reviewed account. They are useful for framing questions and comparing measurement approaches, but they should not be treated as audited benchmarks or forecasts for your own budget.

What does the case data say works?

There is no universal winner in these examples. Each channel serves a different job: fast exposure, search visibility, credibility, community activity or direct-response acquisition. Results also use different denominators and time windows, so a 46% conversion rate, an 80% traffic increase and a 5.74× reported ROAS are not directly comparable measures of effectiveness.

TechBullion’s summary of the cases is that GEO had the best conversion data, SEO and PR produced the longest-lasting results, and KOLs were fastest. That is the article’s synthesis of agency case studies, not an independently controlled comparison of channels.

How did GEO and AI search perform?

GEO, or generative engine optimization, aims to make a project visible in answers from AI search tools. In the clearest conversion comparison, TechBullion reports that Defiway, a crypto payments platform, had a 46% conversion rate among ChatGPT visitors versus 29% among Google organic visitors over 30 days; ChatGPT users grew 24.88% over that same period. The source does not include the underlying analytics or define the conversion event in the reviewed account, so the percentages should not be read as a guaranteed lift or a like-for-like channel test.

Other reported AI-search examples have different measures. ICODA’s own site was said to receive ChatGPT referrals converting 2.4 times better than Google Search, a claim TechBullion explicitly labels self-reported; it also reportedly reached number one in ChatGPT for “best crypto marketing agency” queries within four months. A crypto prop-trading firm reportedly reached number one in Google AI Overviews in the US and UK within 90 days while Perplexity users grew 208%. These are reported positions and audience changes, not audited independent outcomes.

TechBullion also relays ICODA’s description of three implementation timelines: allowing AI crawlers in robots.txt can take effect within days; answer-first pages with schema markup may show results in two to eight weeks; and third-party citations may begin appearing in four to six weeks. Treat these as timelines attributed to the article, not independently verified service documentation. The account says ICODA’s AI Visibility tool samples ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini.

What did the SEO examples measure?

The two SEO cases have unlike starting points and periods. Their growth percentages should not be ranked against one another without accounting for those differences.

Project TechBullion-reported result Measurement context
Godex, a no-KYC exchange Monthly organic visits rose from 7,551 to 20,634 (about 2.7×); referring domains rose from 2,510 to 4,177; conversions increased 24% year over year; AI Overview citations rose from about 52 to 967 (18.6×). Visit and citation changes were reported over roughly 18 months; conversion change was year over year. The article attributes these figures to an agency case, not to an independent causal analysis.
20lab, a token-creation platform Organic traffic grew 80%; the site reportedly ranked number one in the US for “create a crypto token” and had more than 20 keywords in the top ten. Traffic growth was reported over about four months. The article does not give the starting traffic count.

TechBullion’s strategic argument is to treat SEO and GEO as a pipeline: pages that already rank may also be drawn into AI Overviews or ChatGPT answers. The cases do not establish that ranking caused the AI citations, so measure conventional organic traffic and AI-answer visibility separately.

What can PR placements deliver?

TechBullion says ICODA placements are indexed within 24–72 hours on average and remain in search results for months. It also reports more than 8,000 publications placed by the agency, naming CoinTelegraph, CoinDesk, BeInCrypto and Decrypt. These are agency-scale claims as reported by the article, not independent verification that every placement generated audience or business outcomes.

Reported campaign Outcome described by TechBullion Combination or caveat
Crypto prop-trading firm Reached number one in AI Overviews in two markets. Twenty-three PR publications formed the core of the campaign; the account does not isolate PR’s causal contribution.
GameFrog More than 30 placements; six or more Google top-ten rankings; estimated media reach above 2 million. The reach is an estimate, and the article does not provide an independent measurement method.
Vabble Closed a reported $1,138,760 private round and brought in 16,000 new users. The campaign combined PR with YouTube and X, so the figures cannot be assigned to PR alone.

How fast did influencer and KOL campaigns move?

TechBullion calls KOL (key opinion leader) marketing the fastest channel in its dataset and reports a tier-one audience of 4.27 million within 72 hours of a first post. That describes audience exposure, not verified buyers or retained users.

For Telegram trading bot Banana Gun, the article reports 77 publications—43 on YouTube and 34 on X—from 69 KOLs across five regions. In the six weeks after the campaign, the token rose from $15.63 to $43.12. The source itself cautions that broader market conditions contributed, so the price movement is correlation, not evidence that the promotion caused the increase. The campaign reportedly selected creators by region rather than follower count, coordinated launch posts in one window and tracked results on-chain rather than by views.

TechBullion also reports that an effort involving more than 160 AI accounts reached 200 million or more people in five months with zero platform flags. The reviewed account does not independently substantiate that claim; reach and platform-policy compliance should be verified directly before being used to set expectations.

What did community and reputation work change?

Community and reputation examples focus on mentions, sentiment, search visibility and on-chain participation—not a common conversion metric.

  • Godex on Reddit: TechBullion reports 523 placements across 39 subreddits, mentions rising from 67 to 590 (8.8×), and positive mentions increasing from 63% to 82% in one month.
  • Casino client on Reddit: positive sentiment reportedly rose from 41% to 82% in six weeks, while negative sentiment fell from about 38% to about 10%.
  • Bitcoin casino on Quora: the project reportedly reached page one for all six targeted queries in three weeks with no ad spend.
  • RootstockCollective: a Discord funnel using 15 partner communities, combined with PR-driven search, reportedly brought in 220 stakers—48.3% of all new stakers—and secured number one on Google for “Bitcoin DeFi staking.” The article also reports holders increasing from 1,095 to 1,550.

TechBullion says RootstockCollective’s holder increase can be checked on-chain and calls it the strongest case in the article. The account reviewed here did not perform that check; independently inspect the relevant chain data and dates before relying on the numbers.

What do the paid-ad examples show—and what do they not?

Paid advertising has concrete spend and acquisition figures in the reported cases, but a single campaign’s costs cannot predict your account’s future costs. ROAS means reported revenue divided by ad spend; the source account does not supply enough detail to confirm how revenue, attribution windows or refunds were handled.

AI token presale $10,000 spend in one month. 171 purchases and more than $80,000 revenue, reported as 8× ROAS and $58 cost per acquisition.

For any paid campaign, ask whether the reported purchase or install is a platform-attributed event or a deduplicated, verified customer, and whether the spend includes creative, agency fees and other acquisition costs. The reported return figures alone do not answer those questions.

How should you choose a channel for your project?

Use the reported channel strengths as hypotheses, then match the objective to the stage of the project. TechBullion’s suggested fit is KOLs and paid ads for launches, PR and GEO for authority, and SEO for compounding visibility. Those are planning suggestions, not a proven universal allocation formula.

  • Launch or immediate demand: test paid media or KOL activity against a clearly defined acquisition event, with a small enough initial budget to learn before scaling.
  • Credibility and discovery: assess PR and GEO by relevant placements, accurate AI citations and qualified visits, not publication count alone.
  • Durable search demand: SEO needs a baseline, query set and longer measurement window; separate organic traffic from conversions and from AI-search referrals.
  • Retention and trust: community work should be assessed through participation, sentiment definitions and downstream actions rather than raw mentions alone.

What evidence should you demand from a crypto marketing agency?

TechBullion’s author Dan El wrote: “The best crypto marketing agency is the one that can show baselines, timeframes and verifiable numbers for the channel you need.” Put that standard into the proposal review. Request a concise record for each claimed result:

  1. Stage, goal and baseline: Identify the project stage and the starting count, rate or rank. Ask for the denominator behind every percentage increase.
  2. Period and conversion definition: Record the start and end dates, attribution window, and what counts as a conversion, purchase, install, user or qualified lead.
  3. Attribution and costs: Ask which analytics or platform records support the result, what other campaigns ran at the same time, and whether the total cost includes agency and creative fees.
  4. Independent verification: Check outcomes where they occurred—such as on-chain holder or staking data, live Google results, or reproducible AI answers—rather than accepting a screenshot or summary alone.
  5. Repeatability and coverage: For AI visibility, test more than one engine and several relevant query types; record geography and date because answers can vary.
  6. Policy and maintenance: Ask about platform-account risk, content and citation upkeep, and who will monitor visibility after the initial campaign.

Coinpedia’s September 18, 2026 press release describes an audit of more than 25 buyer-intent queries about crypto GEO, AEO, AI SEO and LLM visibility, tested in September across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude. It says ICODA led every ChatGPT query, while performance varied on Perplexity and Claude; only “best crypto GEO agency” placed first across all three engines. The release says quantitative agency claims were self-reported and advises tracing citations. Coinpedia also disclaims endorsing or verifying press-release accuracy or completeness. This is a reported point-in-time audit, not proof of agency quality or a substitute for checking results relevant to your project.
