NTT DATA announced on February 10, 2026, that it had acquired Zero&One, a Dubai-founded AWS cloud consultancy. The company says the deal will expand its cloud capabilities and help it serve clients in the Middle East and Africa with migration, modernization, cloud-native development, data analytics and AI services. The announcement does not disclose the purchase price or detailed integration arrangements.

What NTT DATA is adding with Zero&One

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Dubai, Zero&One is an AWS-focused cloud consultancy. NTT DATA described it as the first homegrown AWS Premier Tier Services Partner in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The acquisition brings regional expertise and AWS specialization into NTT DATA’s broader cloud-services business.

According to NTT DATA’s February 10 announcement, Zero&One held nine AWS competencies and was the first company in MENA to achieve the AWS Generative AI Competency. NTT DATA also said Zero&One received AWS’s 2025 MENA Consulting Partner of the Year award, as well as EMEA Rising Star and Design Partner awards. These credentials and awards are reported by NTT DATA in its announcement.

Why the acquisition matters to NTT DATA

NTT DATA’s stated goal is to strengthen its regional cloud capabilities and offer clients in the Middle East and Africa a broader range of services. Its announcement specifically names cloud migration, application modernization, cloud-native development, data analytics and AI solutions.

In practical terms, the strategic fit combines Zero&One’s regional AWS specialization with NTT DATA’s wider resources and service offerings. Zero&One CEO Ali El Kontar described the combination as a way to bring together regional knowledge and AWS expertise with NTT DATA’s global resources and expanded services. NTT DATA’s Managing Director for the Middle East, Burcak Soydan, said the acquisition would help the company deliver solutions and increase the value it brings to organizations in the region.

What it could mean for cloud services in the region

The acquisition is a move to broaden a services provider’s regional capabilities; it does not, by itself, establish a new cloud platform or announce a change to AWS infrastructure. For organizations considering cloud projects, the services NTT DATA says it intends to offer through the expanded business include:

  • Moving workloads to the cloud.
  • Modernizing applications and developing cloud-native systems.
  • Data analytics and AI solutions.
  • Cloud adoption, managed cloud operations and cloud cost optimization, which Zero&One lists on its current company site.

Zero&One’s site now says it is part of NTT DATA. That confirms the public-facing company relationship, but the reviewed sources do not spell out the businesses’ detailed integration arrangements or how specific client engagements will be handled.

Saudi market context—and how to read the figures

NTT DATA’s announcement cites a Saudi cloud services market value of $4.77 billion in 2025 and says the market is expected to more than double by the early 2030s. These are company-reported figures and a forecast; the announcement does not provide an independent methodology. It also says AWS was set to open its first data center in Saudi Arabia in 2026. That statement describes the plan reported in the February announcement, not confirmation that the facility opened.

What the announcement does not disclose

NTT DATA’s announcement does not give the acquisition price, detailed transaction terms or a timeline for integrating the businesses. It also does not set out specific changes to service availability, customer contracts or operating arrangements. Those details should not be inferred from the strategic rationale alone.
