On June 27, 2024, MicroStrategy announced that MicroStrategy ONE would pair its HyperIntelligence cards with Auto, its generative AI solution. The company said users could see contextual insights in their workflow and ask natural-language follow-up questions about trusted business intelligence (BI) data. The announcement describes the product’s intended capabilities; it does not independently demonstrate business results or prove the company’s “first” claim.
What is HyperIntelligence?
HyperIntelligence presents data in cards tied to keyword attributes. An analyst chooses a data attribute as a keyword attribute, which identifies terms that can trigger a relevant card. Depending on how a card is built, it can show text, lists, matrix grids or ring charts. Strategy’s Introduction to HyperIntelligence describes the card-authoring and deployment workflow.
The idea is to bring a relevant view of organizational data into a user’s existing work rather than require them to open a separate analytics interface. In its June 2024 announcement, MicroStrategy illustrated this with a product card appearing when someone hovered over a product name in an application. The company said a frontline worker could then ask about sales or customer satisfaction and receive an answer grounded in trusted BI data. That is the vendor’s example, not an independently tested result.
What did MicroStrategy add with AI?
The 2024 announcement described Auto as a generative AI capability incorporated into HyperIntelligence. In the company’s framing, a user could start with a contextual card and ask a natural-language follow-up question to explore further. That connects a compact, predefined view of data with a conversational way to ask for more information.

MicroStrategy also cited figures saying that 24% of managers and 22% of executives mostly base decisions on data. The June 27, 2024 release passage does not identify the original study, publisher, sample, geography or year behind those numbers, so they should be understood only as figures reported in the company announcement, not independently verified statistics.
Where can users see HyperIntelligence cards?
Strategy’s current product documentation describes cards for web, mobile and Microsoft Outlook. The interaction depends on the surface: users can hover over a keyword in a browser, scan a barcode on mobile, or click an email to see a relevant card. The current introduction and HyperIntelligence help describe these delivery options.
Current help says HyperIntelligence for Web supports current stable versions of Google Chrome and Chromium-based Microsoft Edge. Compatibility requirements can change, so organizations should consult the live product help for their deployment rather than rely on a static list. The help page also notes known issues on some online editing and document sites.
How are cards created and deployed?
Cards are authored by analysts and associated with keyword attributes in the organization’s data. Strategy’s current documentation says Workstation can be used to create cards; it also says Library gained card creation and editing beginning with Strategy One (April 2026). The available authoring route therefore depends on the product version in use. See the card introduction for the documented workflow.

For organizations embedding HyperIntelligence in their own websites, Strategy’s HyperIntelligence SDK repository describes a JavaScript SDK for adding HyperIntelligence features. It requires a connection to a HyperIntelligence Service instance. The repository says the product was introduced in 2019.
How does HyperIntelligence work with AI agents?
Strategy’s agent integration documentation says web integration with AI agents began in MicroStrategy ONE (June 2024). From MicroStrategy ONE (December 2024), agent queries and suggested questions can incorporate card context. This is a product-version distinction: organizations should check the documentation for the release they run to determine which contextual behaviors are available. See Integrate with Agents.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The release explains how MicroStrategy intended AI-enhanced cards to work and includes statements from company and customer representatives. Those comments and examples are not controlled evidence that the feature increased productivity, accuracy, revenue or adoption. Nor does the announcement provide an independent comparison with other analytics platforms. Its “first” positioning is the company’s claim, not an independently established ranking.
For a business evaluating the feature, the practical questions are which work surface employees use, what data and keyword attributes the cards should rely on, how cards will be authored and maintained, and whether the organization’s product version supports the desired AI-agent context. The vendor documentation describes mechanics and version timing; it does not by itself establish implementation outcomes for a particular organization.
