Fire TV Stick 4K Max Hit $35 in Past Sales: What to Know Before Buying

Past $35 promotions were for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, not every 4K model. Check the live Amazon listing and exact generation before buying.

The $35 deal in reports about Amazon’s 4K Fire TV Sticks was for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, not every 4K Fire TV model. That price appeared in promotions in November 2025, March 2026 and June 2026; it is historical, not a verified current offer. Check Amazon’s live listing before budgeting for that price.

Which Fire TV Stick was $35?

The reported $35 promotions applied to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Engadget reported the deal in Black Friday coverage updated November 28, 2025 (Engadget, November 28, 2025). PCWorld reported another $35 promotion ahead of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale in March 2026 (PCWorld, March 2026), and WIRED reported the price during Prime Days in June 2026 (WIRED, June 2026).

Those are dated sale reports, not proof that the device currently costs $35. Tom’s Guide reported on August 24, 2026, that the 4K Max price had risen from $59 to $84 (Tom’s Guide, August 24, 2026). A past discount may return, but it should not be treated as today’s price without checking the product page and its checkout total.

“4K Fire TV Stick” can mean different models

Amazon lists several distinct models and generations, including the 2025 Fire TV Stick 4K Select and 4K Plus, as well as earlier 4K and 4K Max versions. The $35 reports above identify the 4K Max; they do not establish that the other models were offered at the same price. Amazon’s Fire TV device comparison table lists model names and generations.

Before purchasing, match the exact model name and generation on the deal page to the device you intend to buy. Do not infer features from “4K” alone: supported video, HDR and audio formats, wireless capability, and storage can differ by model. Amazon’s device specifications provide model-specific details.

How to judge the deal before you buy

  1. Confirm the product. Make sure the listing says Fire TV Stick 4K Max and check the generation; similar names do not mean identical hardware.
  2. Check the live price and terms. Review the price shown on the listing and at checkout, including any eligibility requirements or stated offer end date. A dated article cannot confirm current stock or sale terms.
  3. Compare against a current price, not just a headline. The reported $35 offers were promotions, while the August 2026 report cited a higher price. Use the live listing to decide whether today’s discount fits your budget.
  4. Verify the features you need. Look up the precise model in Amazon’s specifications if a particular video format, audio format, wireless standard or storage capacity matters to you.

What the $35 figure does—and does not—tell you

Three separate deal reports make $35 a documented past promotional price for the 4K Max. They do not establish a permanent selling price, an ongoing discount, or a current offer for every 4K Fire TV Stick. Treat $35 as historical context, and make the purchase decision using the exact listing, its current checkout price and the features you actually need.
