Fizz’s phone discount reduces the price of the associated mobile plan when you buy a qualifying phone marked with its purple discount stamp. It is not a reduction in the handset’s price. Fizz currently advertises discounts of up to 75% for 24 months, but the exact percentage depends on the phone, plan and province shown at checkout.
What the Fizz phone discount actually covers
Buy a selected Fizz phone carrying the purple plan-discount stamp and Fizz applies a percentage reduction to the linked mobile plan for up to 24 months. The handset price is separate, so calculate the phone cost and service cost together rather than treating the promotion as a cheaper phone.
Fizz’s current deals page advertises up to 75% off a plan for 24 months. That is the maximum headline offer, not a guaranteed rate for every model or province. For example, Fizz’s live catalogue has shown a Samsung Galaxy S26 with a 50% plan discount; listings and rates can change.
Who can qualify and when the discount begins
New customers
A new customer can buy a qualifying phone and create a Fizz plan. The discount starts when the SIM is activated, according to Fizz’s discount terms.

How to calculate the real 24-month cost
Use the phone’s full purchase price, any financing cost shown at checkout, and the actual discounted plan payments. Then compare that total with the handset and service alternative you would otherwise choose.

| Item | What to use |
|---|---|
| Handset | The phone’s upfront price or the total financed amount under the displayed Affirm terms |
| Plan | The regular monthly price, discount percentage and resulting monthly payment |
| Discount period | Up to 24 months; verify the remaining term if you change plans or replace a phone |
| Comparison | Handset plus 24 months of discounted service versus a realistic alternative purchase and plan |
Fizz illustrates the arithmetic with a $30 monthly plan reduced to $12 for 24 months: $18 saved each month, or $432 over the full period. This is an illustrative example, not the current price of a particular plan.
At the same percentage, a more expensive plan creates a larger dollar reduction. Do not compare percentage headlines alone: a lower percentage on a cheaper plan may cost less overall than a higher percentage on an expensive plan.

Rules that can change or end the discount
Plan changes
The discount follows eligible plan changes for the remainder of its 24-month period. Changes must comply with Fizz’s plan-change policy and be made outside a freeze period. Check the new plan’s price before confirming the change.
One discount per plan
Fizz limits the offer to one phone discount per plan. It cannot be transferred to another plan, and it does not stack with an existing plan discount. A new phone discount replaces the previous discount rather than adding to it.

Cancellation
Canceling the associated mobile plan permanently ends the phone discount, even when months remain in the original 24-month term. Fizz says there is no cancellation penalty and you keep the phone, but the plan’s reduced price stops.
Buying another phone
Buying another phone without a phone-linked discount does not end the current discount. If the replacement phone carries a discount for the same plan, the new discount replaces the old one and starts a new 24-month period.

Returns, warranty and payment choices
Returns and warranty replacements
Fizz lists a 15-day return policy. Returning a phone tied to a plan discount ends that discount. An accepted warranty replacement does not affect the plan discount. Review the current return conditions and warranty coverage for the exact listing before ordering.
New versus Preloved phones
| Device type | What Fizz states |
|---|---|
| New | Comes with the manufacturer’s warranty. |
| Preloved | Has a six-month warranty; it has not been repaired, remanufactured or refurbished by the original manufacturer. Accessories may not be manufacturer accessories or covered by warranty. |
| Preloved battery | Fizz says capacity is at least 80% of the phone’s initial capacity, although actual battery life varies with prior use. |
Confirm the condition, included accessories and exact warranty language on the device listing. A Preloved phone’s lower price may be worthwhile, but it should be included explicitly in your comparison.
Upfront or financed payment
Fizz says buyers can pay upfront or spread the handset cost with Affirm, subject to Affirm’s credit approval, financing limits and checkout conditions. Do not assume financing is interest-free or available to every buyer.
Device and regional checks before checkout
- A SIM is required to connect the phone to Fizz’s mobile network; Fizz says a free SIM is available with a phone purchase under its current offers.
- The phone must be compatible with Fizz’s service. Confirm compatibility for the exact model and variant.
- Offers, inventory, prices and provincial availability can change without notice and may differ by province.
- Verify the phone-specific purple-stamp percentage, plan payment, discount end date and all conditions in checkout.
A practical decision checklist
- Open the exact phone listing and record its handset price, condition and discount percentage.
- Record your plan’s regular monthly price and calculate the discounted payment.
- Multiply the discounted payment by the months remaining in the offer, up to 24.
- Add the handset’s full upfront or financed cost, including any amounts shown in the financing terms.
- Compare that combined total with buying the phone elsewhere and paying for a plan without this promotion.
- Consider whether you might cancel, change provinces, change plans or return the phone before the 24 months end.
The promotion is most useful when you want the qualifying phone, expect to keep the associated plan, and find that the combined 24-month total beats your alternatives. The percentage alone is not enough to establish a saving.
