Verizon is repositioning My Verizon as a single account, billing, shopping, rewards and support hub for mobile, 5G Home, LTE Home and Fios customers. The change is best understood as an ongoing refresh rather than one fully documented redesign with a universal launch date. The app adds more personalized navigation and loyalty features, but some services still require separate Verizon apps and many benefits depend on account type.
The short version
- A personalized home screen, customizable shortcuts and tab navigation put account tasks in one place.
- Customers can manage mobile plans, devices, home internet and Fios accounts, bills, payments, upgrades and support.
- Verizon Assistant is promoted as an around-the-clock in-app support option.
- Verizon Dollars and Verizon Shine are available only to specified eligible customers.
- Verizon Home, Fios TV Mobile, GizmoHub and Digital Secure remain separate apps.
- App-store update dates differ by platform and listing, so there is no reliable single “current version” number for every user.
What Verizon actually refreshed
Verizon’s My Verizon overview describes a more personalized landing view, customizable shortcuts, tab-based navigation, simplified billing, in-app shopping and a dedicated support area. Google Play release notes also describe easier movement among Verizon apps through “Connected Life.”
These are documented capabilities and release-note descriptions, not a complete before-and-after technical change log. Verizon has not published one definitive announcement establishing a single redesign date for all customers. Android and iOS listings also show different version histories: one Google Play result displays a June 13, 2026 update while another shows December 8, 2025, and the U.S. App Store lists later entries including version 22.0.0 dated July 24. Check the relevant store listing on your device before relying on a version number.
What you can do in My Verizon
Account dashboard
The dashboard can show account information, balance, savings, rewards, perks and offers. Shortcuts can be personalized, while the tab bar provides access to major sections. What appears depends on your service, account role and rollout status.

Mobile plans and devices
Mobile customers can review device details and usage, change plans, add or manage perks, view plan benefits, shop for phones and accessories, upgrade devices and track orders. Verizon also promotes app-exclusive offers.
Home internet and Fios
The app supports 5G Home, LTE Home and Fios account views, including billing and support. Verizon says the My Fios app moved into My Verizon on November 29, 2023. That historical transition does not mean every Fios feature is available in the same place: television streaming and home-network controls remain separate.
Bills and payments
You can view a simplified bill, inspect usage and bill details, schedule Auto Pay and make secure payments. The Verizon support video transcript documents these navigation and payment functions. If a payment is urgent or appears stuck, verify its status through Verizon’s web account or support rather than repeatedly submitting it in the app.

Support
Verizon Assistant is promoted as 24/7 help for account details, plan exploration and troubleshooting, with escalation to support where available. “24/7” describes advertised availability; the issues it can resolve and escalation choices can vary by account and problem.
Verizon Dollars, Verizon Shine and fee waivers

Use the current in-app terms to confirm eligibility and promotional dates. A headline percentage or giveaway should not be treated as guaranteed savings until your account qualifies.
How to combine mobile and Fios accounts
Verizon’s documented route uses One Verizon ID. Menu labels can change, so search settings for “One Verizon ID” or account linking if your screen differs.

- Sign in with your mobile or 5G Home credentials.
- Open Account.
- Select Edit profile & settings.
- Open Security.
- Choose One Verizon ID.
- Enter your Fios credentials and complete the linking prompts.
If you do not combine the credentials, Verizon says you can view only one account at a time and must sign out and back in to switch views.
What still requires another Verizon app

The app freezes, will not load or rejects a login
- Confirm a working Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
- Force-close and relaunch My Verizon.
- Install the latest update from your device’s app store.
- Restart the phone.
- On Android, clear the app cache if appropriate.
- Reinstall only after confirming that you know your Verizon credentials.
- For an urgent bill or account task, use the web account portal or phone support.
Google Play reviews include reports of freezing, failed loading, login trouble and Auto Pay problems. Those are anecdotal customer reports, not a measured failure rate.

A feature or account is missing
- You may have prepaid rather than postpaid service.
- The feature may be limited to mobile, 5G Home, LTE Home, Fios or Home Internet Lite customers.
- Mobile and Fios credentials may not be linked through One Verizon ID.
- The feature may be rolling out gradually.
- Your profile may lack account-owner or manager permissions.
- The function may belong in Verizon Home, Fios TV Mobile, GizmoHub or Digital Secure.
Rewards or fee waivers do not appear
Check service eligibility, postpaid status, Loyalty enrollment, transaction qualifications, exclusions and expiration dates, plus whether you are signed in under the correct owner or manager profile. Do not assume every customer will see Verizon Dollars, Verizon Shine or a fee waiver.
Auto Pay or payment trouble
Confirm whether the payment actually posted in the web account or with Verizon support before trying again. A refreshed interface does not guarantee that a payment-processing problem has been corrected.

For households with mobile plus home internet or Fios, the unified view can reduce account switching and make billing, upgrades and support easier to find. It is also a practical gateway to plan changes and device transactions.

The trade-off is that a commerce-focused dashboard can place offers and rewards alongside essential account controls. Verizon Dollars may look like ordinary cash back but have Verizon-specific redemption rules, and combining accounts creates a larger single sign-in surface that should be protected with strong, unique credentials and available security controls. Customers who only pay a bill occasionally may notice less benefit, while still needing separate apps for networking, television, family and security functions.
Verizon’s public pages document the capabilities, but app-store version metadata is inconsistent and user reviews remain anecdotal. Treat the refresh as a broader, evolving account-and-loyalty experience rather than proof that every screen or feature changed simultaneously for every customer.
The Bottom Line
My Verizon is becoming a broader account, billing, shopping, rewards and support hub. It is most useful for customers managing several Verizon services, but eligibility varies, separate apps remain necessary, and rewards or fee waivers require checking the terms on your specific account.
