Gong announced Mission Andromeda on February 25, 2026. It is not a single standalone application or a general-purpose chatbot, but a coordinated release of Gong Enable, Gong Assistant, account-management workspaces and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectivity. The launch is Gong’s attempt to turn its conversation data into coaching, account workflows and context that other AI agents can use.

Andromeda was Gong’s first named “Mission” launch. Gong subsequently announced Mission Big Dipper on June 24, 2026, so Andromeda should be understood as the foundation of the company’s new product cadence rather than its newest platform release.

What Mission Andromeda includes

Gong describes Missions as a way to give customers a clearer timeline for understanding, planning and adopting platform changes. Andromeda packages four related areas:

Area What it does Launch status and qualification
Gong Enable AI Call Reviewer, Lessons, AI Trainer and Initiative Tracking for coaching and enablement. Gong said Gong Enable and AI Trainer were generally available at launch; access depends on plan and assigned seats.
Gong Assistant Conversational questions about calls, deals, accounts and revenue activity, plus follow-up sales artifacts. Gong initially described broader workflow coverage as an expansion path. Assistant in Account Console was scheduled for general availability in July 2026.
Account Boards and Account Console Shared and account-specific workspaces for activity, risk, renewals and expansion. Gong’s launch blog described both as generally available, subject to edition, permissions and rollout.
MCP support Gong can act as both an MCP client and server, connecting its agents and data with compatible external systems. Interoperability depends on the other system’s implementation, authentication, permissions and supported actions; it is not unrestricted data sharing.

Gong’s launch announcement is at gong.io, with a product overview at Gong’s Mission Andromeda page.

Gong Enable: from call analysis to deliberate practice

Gong is positioning Enable as workflow-connected enablement rather than a learning-management system whose main metric is course completion. Its coaching loop has three distinct stages.

1. Observe performance with AI Call Reviewer

AI Call Reviewer analyzes completed customer interactions against an organization’s methodology or scorecards. It can surface individual and team-level coaching opportunities, such as missed discovery questions, weak objection handling or inconsistent qualification. Gong’s materials describe this as post-call analysis; they do not establish that AI Call Reviewer provides live, in-call coaching.

2. Practice with AI Trainer

AI Trainer creates simulated conversations using customer personas and behaviors derived from Gong-captured interactions. Reps can rehearse pricing objections, discovery, renewal risk and other high-stakes situations repeatedly, then receive scorecard-based feedback. It is a practice environment, not evidence that a simulated customer will behave exactly like a future buyer.

Access to AI Trainer depends on the organization’s plan and assigned seat. Gong documents the feature at help.gong.io/docs/ai-trainer.

3. Measure programs with Lessons and Initiative Tracking

Lessons turn detected gaps into structured, role-specific learning programs. Initiative Tracking links an enablement initiative with measures such as win rate, deal size or ramp time. Those links can help teams assess whether a program is associated with better outcomes, but correlation is not proof that the program caused the change.

What Gong Assistant does—and what it is not

Gong Assistant is a revenue-workflow interface grounded in Gong’s customer-conversation data, not a consumer chatbot. Users can ask natural-language questions such as what a customer said about pricing, how confident an account appears, or which themes recur across the customer base. The assistant can also help draft follow-up messages and other sales artifacts after calls.

At the original Andromeda launch, Gong presented wider support across deals, accounts and execution workflows as an expansion path rather than claiming every workflow was already available. Gong’s June 2026 Mission Big Dipper update said Gong Assistant in Account Console would be generally available in July 2026. Actual access can vary by contract, seat, geography and rollout stage.

Account Boards and Account Console extend the platform beyond calls

Account Boards

Account Boards provide shared views for account activity, risk signals and coordination across sales and post-sales teams. They are intended for collaborative account planning rather than a private note-taking space.

Account Console

Account Console is a consolidated view of an individual account for preparation, investigation, account reviews, renewals and expansion work. The strategic aim is to bring together information that otherwise sits in recorded calls, email, CRM fields and reports.

How Gong’s MCP interoperability works

The Model Context Protocol is a standard way for AI applications to discover and use tools or data exposed by another system. Gong’s Andromeda announcement describes two roles:

Rank #3
Joyberg 4 Pack Sales Order Book, 4.17inx7.2in Receipt Book with Carbon Copies, 2-Part Carbonless(White and Yellow), 40 Sets Per Book, Order Book for Small Business
  • Package includes: We have a total of 4 receipt book with carbon copies, 40 sets/book, 160 sets in total. Each book is divided into two parts, white and yellow, each sales transaction has two copies of the same record, one for the customer, one for you to keep.
  • Wrap-around design: Our receipt book is designed with a wrap-around design that uses the last page of the cover under the yellow page when using each 2-part sales order, preventing you from writing too hard through the other 2 parts of the page to keep the invoices neat and easy to read.
  • Page Layout: The top blank area of the receipt book is divided into customer’s order no, department, date, name, and address. The center area is divided into quantity, description, price, and amount columns. Our receipt book with carbon copies is provided with a professional invoice or customer receipt for peace of mind!
  • Continuous numbers: Consecutive page numbers printed in red in the upper right corner of each receipt book, consisting of 7 digits, help you quickly thumb through your orders and easily determine the chronological order of the transactions in each book. Our receipt book with carbon copies are made of premium paper, very thick and not easy to tear.
  • You will get: 4 Pack receipt book(4.17inx7.2in), our 7*24 friendly customer service for peace of mind.
  • Gong as an MCP client: Gong agents can use signals from other MCP-compatible systems. Gong named Microsoft 365 Copilot and Salesforce Agentforce as examples.
  • Gong as an MCP server: External agents can query Gong for sourced, data-backed answers based on permitted revenue information.

This can reduce the need for a separate, one-off connector for every assistant. It does not mean every rival platform is automatically compatible, nor does it grant unrestricted access to recordings or CRM data. Administrators still have to configure identity, tools, objects, actions and data permissions. Gong emphasizes controls around access, usage and provenance; buyers should evaluate the effectiveness of those controls in their own deployment.

Why MCP matters strategically

Gong historically differentiated itself by capturing and analyzing revenue conversations. MCP lets that intelligence become a context layer available to other agents, while Gong’s own agents can consume information from the broader revenue stack.

That strategy could reduce the risk that a CRM vendor or general-purpose workplace assistant becomes the only interface through which sellers reach customer intelligence. It also creates more paths through which sensitive data can be requested or acted on. Authentication, authorization, agent identity, audit logs, prompt-injection defenses and exfiltration controls therefore become central buying questions, not implementation details.

Availability, seats, credits and pricing

Feature availability is not uniform. Confirm the Gong edition and contract, application seat assignment, user permissions, geography, rollout stage and whether the feature is accessed in Gong, through an API or through MCP.

Item What is established
Announcement February 25, 2026.
Gong Enable and AI Trainer Gong said they were generally available at launch, with plan and seat dependencies.
Account Boards and Account Console Described as generally available in the launch blog, subject to normal access controls.
MCP Client and server support was announced; the launch material initially described general availability as coming in following months.
Assistant in Account Console Gong’s June 2026 update said general availability was planned for July 2026.
Credits Gong says some MCP-server use, API requests for certain AI features, automated briefs and high-volume workflows consume Gong credits. Each paid core seat includes 2,000 annual default credits under the cited documentation.

See Gong’s credit explanation at help.gong.io/docs/about-gong-credits and seat documentation at help.gong.io/docs/plans-and-seats.

Gong does not publish a standard Mission Andromeda price list. Its public pricing page says licenses are priced per user and that a platform fee depends on the number of users; buyers must request a proposal at gong.io/pricing. Confirm whether Enable, AI Trainer, Call Reviewer, MCP access, account tools and credits are bundled or separately licensed.

Buying questions that matter

  1. Which Andromeda capabilities are included in the proposed contract, edition and geography?
  2. Is Gong Enable a separate application, and which reps, managers and enablement users need seats?
  3. What are the limits on AI Trainer scenarios, practice attempts and analyzed calls?
  4. Which actions consume credits, what is the overage policy, and what happens when credits run out?
  5. Is AI Call Reviewer strictly post-call in this package?
  6. Which MCP servers and clients are officially supported, and can administrators restrict access by user, agent, object, data source or action?
  7. What audit logs exist for external-agent queries and tool calls?
  8. How are recordings, transcripts, personal data and customer content retained, deleted and used for model improvement?
  9. Can scores, coaching results and initiative outcomes be exported?
  10. What controlled evidence—not just correlation or testimonials—supports claims about ramp time, conversion, win rate or deal size?

Risks and failure modes

Inconsistent source data

Incomplete recording coverage, poor transcription, multilingual conversations or outdated playbooks can produce misleading coaching signals. The system cannot reliably score behavior it cannot capture or a methodology that no longer reflects the sales motion.

Questionable coaching validity

Patterns associated with successful calls are not automatically causal. Managers still need to interpret feedback, set priorities and coach judgment-heavy skills; large volumes of scores can create notification fatigue.

Practice realism

Historical conversations can make role-play more company-specific than generic simulations, but they can also reproduce obsolete messaging, narrow customer assumptions or the habits of a small group of top performers.

Privacy and consent

Recorded calls may contain confidential, personal or regulated information. Verify recording consent, regional processing, retention, access controls, deletion procedures and model-training terms before enabling broad access.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

MCP security

MCP reduces integration friction while adding data-access paths. Evaluate authentication, authorization, tool permissions, logging, agent identity, prompt injection and whether an external system can only retrieve information or can also trigger actions.

How Andromeda compares with alternatives

Salesforce Agentforce

Salesforce is the natural alternative for organizations standardized on Salesforce that want CRM-native agents and workflow execution. Salesforce’s published August 2026 pricing signals include Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits, conversations at $2 each, an Agentforce User License at $5 per user per month with usage requiring Flex Credits, and some add-ons at $125 per user per month. Eligibility, editions and contract terms must be confirmed at salesforce.com/agentforce/pricing.

Agentforce’s strength is operating inside Salesforce records and workflows. Gong’s differentiation is conversation-derived revenue context, call analysis, coaching and revenue-specific account workflows.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Microsoft provides a broad workplace and productivity layer. Gong names Microsoft 365 Copilot as an external system that can connect to Gong through MCP. That combination is most relevant to Microsoft-standardized enterprises, while Gong remains the specialist layer for conversation intelligence and sales enablement. Microsoft’s product page is microsoft.com/microsoft-365-copilot.

Highspot and Seismic

Highspot and Seismic remain direct comparison points for content, readiness and enablement operations. Gong’s move into enablement brings it into closer competition with them, but current list prices and a precise feature-by-feature comparison were not established here. Their sites are highspot.com and seismic.com.

Who should consider Mission Andromeda?

  • Organizations already recording substantial sales or customer conversations in Gong.
  • Enablement teams that want coaching tied to observed sales behavior rather than disconnected courses.
  • Managers who lack time for manual call review and repetitive role-play.
  • Sales, customer-success and account-management teams that need a shared account view.
  • Enterprises that want governed revenue context available to several AI assistants.

It is a weaker fit for small teams with little call history, organizations unwilling to record conversations, or buyers seeking a low-cost standalone role-play tool. Existing enablement, LMS, conversation-intelligence and CRM-assistant products may also make Andromeda an overlapping rather than consolidating purchase.

What changed—and what did not

Mission Andromeda’s importance is not the chatbot alone. Gong is combining post-call diagnosis, simulated practice, account operations and a protocol layer that makes its data available to other agents. The release gives buyers a broader platform to evaluate, but it does not remove the need for clean data, manager judgment, privacy controls, contract scrutiny or MCP security engineering.

Gong’s next named launch, Mission Big Dipper, added the Revenue Harness and Custom Agents in June 2026. That follow-up reinforces Andromeda’s role as the starting point for a continuing Revenue AI Operating System strategy.
