Kiteworks announced on September 5, 2024, that it had acquired 123FormBuilder, bringing no-code online forms and data collection into Kiteworks’ enterprise platform for securing sensitive-content communications. The companies presented the transaction as a portfolio expansion, not as a disclosed-price financial deal: no purchase price, transaction structure, or detailed integration timetable was announced.
What happened
Kiteworks described 123FormBuilder as a provider of secure web forms and form-driven data-collection workflows. Kiteworks operates a Private Content Network (PCN) focused on tracking, controlling and securing sensitive-content communications.
The acquisition announcement said 123FormBuilder served 35,000 customers globally in 2024, a figure attributed to the company and not independently audited. Kiteworks also said the transaction followed a recent $456 million growth-equity investment; that investment was background context, not the price paid for 123FormBuilder.
What 123FormBuilder provides
The platform is designed for organizations that need to collect information through online forms without building each workflow from scratch.

Why Kiteworks bought it
Kiteworks said the acquisition adds form-driven data collection to its broader secure-content platform. Its stated goal is to connect information gathered through forms with controls for sensitive content, tracking and compliance reporting.
The company also said consolidated audit logs could streamline compliance tracking and reporting for 123FormBuilder customers. That is Kiteworks’ announced rationale and expected benefit; the announcement did not publish independent measurements showing that those results had already been achieved.
Amit Toren, Kiteworks’ senior vice president of Corporate and Business Development, said: “123FormBuilder’s emphasis on security and compliance aligns with our Private Content Network vision.” Kiteworks’ acquisition-strategy commentary characterizes the purchase as an adjacent use case, supporting the interpretation that this is a product-portfolio expansion into form-based collection rather than a head-to-head competitor transaction.

Potentially broader governance
123FormBuilder’s announcement said customers and partners could expect access to Kiteworks’ wider secure-content capabilities, including expanded data collection, content tracking and compliance features. Those statements describe anticipated benefits at announcement time, not guaranteed outcomes for every account.
Possible changes to administration and support
Customers should watch current product notices, contracts and documentation for changes to account administration, data-processing terms, support channels, retention policies, export options or service names. The public acquisition announcements did not provide a detailed migration plan or integration timeline.

No announced change to the commercial deal terms
The acquisition release did not disclose a purchase price or transaction structure. It also did not establish new customer pricing, mandatory purchases or required use of Kiteworks products.
Security and compliance: what is established
The acquisition materials present security and compliance as strategic priorities, but those statements should not be treated as an independent security assessment. Kiteworks’ general web-form guidance notes that protection depends on controls implemented by the developer or host, including measures such as encryption in transit and authentication.

123FormBuilder’s published terms describe AWS hosting, US and EU server locations, encryption in transit and shared data-protection responsibilities between the provider and its customers. Terms and infrastructure can change, so organizations should verify the current terms, data-processing agreement, subprocessors, retention rules and contractual controls before relying on a specific residency or compliance conclusion.
A Kiteworks certification announcement dated September 16, 2026 lists 123FormBuilder S.R.L. among affiliates covered by a NEN 7510-1:2024 certificate. The same announcement identifies the covered products as the Kiteworks Control Plane and Zivver Secure Communications Services; it does not say that the 123FormBuilder product itself is within those named product scopes. Entity coverage and product certification are therefore not interchangeable.

- Classify the information. Decide whether forms will collect ordinary contact details, payment-related information, health data, identity documents or other regulated content.
- Map the workflow. Document where submissions go, who can view them, which systems receive them and how long records must be retained.
- Check required form functions. Confirm conditional logic, signatures, multipage journeys, file uploads and approval steps against the actual process.
- Verify integrations. Confirm that the current connector supports the required Salesforce, Stripe, Shopify, HubSpot or other workflow, including field mapping, error handling and ownership of the resulting records.
- Review location and contracts. Validate US or EU hosting options, transfer mechanisms, subprocessors, deletion commitments and any sector-specific obligations in current documentation.
- Test auditability. Determine which events are logged, how logs are exported, what administrators can search and whether records meet the organization’s compliance evidence requirements.
