Status: The $4.99-per-month Disney+ and Hulu promotion was a genuine U.S. Cyber Monday 2025 offer, but it is no longer available. Disney’s promotional terms listed January 5, 2026 as the end date. The price applied to an ad-supported bundle for the first 12 months, not to two permanent standalone subscriptions.
What the Cyber Monday deal included
On December 1, 2025, AppleInsider reported a Disney+ and Hulu bundle priced at $4.99 per month for 12 months. The offer covered the ad-supported versions of both services and was aimed at new and eligible returning subscribers in the United States.

The reported comparison price was $12.99 per month, making the promotion roughly 61% below that reference price. The $4.99 figure was the combined bundle price; it was not $4.99 for Disney+ plus another $4.99 for Hulu, and it was not the price of either service’s premium ad-free tier.

Using the published figures, 12 months at $4.99 totals $59.88 before tax. Twelve months at the reported $12.99 comparison price would total $155.88, an arithmetic difference of $96. These are calculations from the advertised monthly figures, not a separately verified billing statement.

When did it end?
The original coverage presented the promotion as a last-chance Cyber Monday deal on Monday, December 1, 2025, with many offers expected to expire at midnight. Disney’s promotional terms associated with the holiday campaign subsequently specified January 5, 2026 as the end date. Those references describe the same holiday promotion at different points in its marketing, so “ends tonight” should be understood as the December 1 editorial urgency—not as a current deadline.
The offer is expired. The old promotional destination now leads to Disney’s general site or current plan experience rather than a functioning $4.99 checkout path.
Who could claim it?
Disney’s terms limited the offer to new subscribers and eligible returning subscribers. “Returning” did not mean every person who had ever canceled; Disney determined eligibility under the promotion’s rules. The cited terms also required the customer to be at least 18 and a U.S. resident.

What “with ads” meant
The discounted bundle was the ad-supported option. Conventional commercial breaks could appear during Disney+ and Hulu programming, so the promotion was not a discounted version of the premium ad-free bundles.
Disney’s terms also noted that advertising can still appear in select live and linear content under some premium arrangements. Anyone who wanted fewer standard on-demand ad breaks needed to compare a different plan rather than assume the $4.99 offer included it.
What happened after 12 months?
The $4.99 rate was temporary. Disney’s terms said the subscription would automatically renew after the promotional period at the then-current monthly retail price until canceled. Because that renewal price could change, the historical offer did not guarantee a particular future rate.

When the promotional page was captured, it displayed the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle at $12.99 per month and a premium bundle at $19.99 per month. Those were the prices shown on that page, not verified live prices for October 2026. Anyone using a current Disney signup page should check the amount and renewal language displayed at checkout.
How Disney+ and Hulu access worked
The bundle provided subscriptions to both services, but it did not turn every Hulu program into a Disney+ title. Disney said select Hulu content could be viewed inside the Disney+ app, while additional Hulu programming remained available through the Hulu app. Device support depended on Disney’s requirements.
That distinction matters for households choosing the bundle for a particular Hulu series: access may require opening Hulu separately even though the services are billed together.

Was the promotion a good value?
It suited households that used both libraries
The first-year arithmetic was attractive for viewers who expected to watch Disney, Pixar, Marvel or Star Wars programming as well as Hulu’s general-entertainment catalog for much of the year. The bundle delivered two services for less than the published regular-price comparison.
It was weaker for one-show viewers
If the goal was a single series, paying for a full year could be unnecessary. A standalone monthly subscription, followed by cancellation after the show finished, could better match that viewing pattern.
Ad-sensitive viewers needed another plan
Anyone unwilling to accept ad-supported viewing should have compared the premium Disney+ and Hulu option instead of treating the $4.99 plan as an ad-free discount.

Cancellation timing mattered
A reminder before the 12-month period ended was important because the account would continue at the then-current retail price unless canceled. Customers with third-party billing also needed to manage that billing relationship through the provider that charged them.
Other 2025 Cyber Monday options
Android Central’s 2025 deal coverage also listed a Disney+, Hulu and ESPN bundle at $25.99 per month for 12 months, along with premium Disney+ and Hulu pricing and promotions for services such as HBO Max, Apple TV and Paramount+. Those were historical holiday offers, not current October 2026 deals.
The ESPN-inclusive bundle made more sense for households that wanted sports; it was substantially more expensive than the movie-and-television-focused Disney+ and Hulu promotion. Current plan availability and prices should be checked directly at Disney+ or Hulu rather than inferred from 2025 coverage.
Bottom line for readers finding the old headline
“Disney Plus & Hulu just $4.99/month” described a real Cyber Monday 2025 promotion: an ad-supported U.S. bundle for $4.99 per month for 12 months. It was restricted to eligible customers, ended under Disney’s holiday terms on January 5, 2026, and then renewed at the prevailing retail rate unless canceled. The deal should be treated as historical, not as an available signup offer.
