Which deal was actually worth buying?
GMKtec K12: best overall Windows deal
At the documented $410 price, the K12 offered a particularly useful combination: a Ryzen 7 processor, Radeon 780M integrated graphics, advertised support for up to 128GB of RAM, three M.2 storage positions, USB4, OCuLink and dual 2.5GbE networking. That makes it more adaptable than a sealed, base-storage desktop. The 128GB figure is a manufacturer-supported maximum and can depend on module capacity and firmware; verify the installed memory in the exact listing.
Buy it for Windows multitasking, light gaming, home-lab projects or future storage expansion. Do not buy solely for OCuLink unless you expect to add an enclosure, graphics card, power supply and cable; those costs can exceed the original discount. Smaller-brand warranty handling and marketplace returns also deserve more scrutiny than Apple, Lenovo, Dell or HP.
Mac mini M4: best simple macOS desktop
The $479 advertised price for the 16GB/256GB Mac mini M4 was compelling for a quiet, compact system with strong everyday and creative performance. It is the better choice when macOS compatibility, simple setup and Apple’s support ecosystem outweigh hardware experimentation.
The 256GB internal SSD is the central compromise. Photo libraries, video projects and games can consume it quickly, so budget for external storage. Memory and storage are not user-upgradeable in the same way as many Windows mini PCs. macOS also excludes Windows-only applications and has a different gaming catalog. Review coverage additionally identified the power-button placement and lack of USB-A ports as usability drawbacks. See Apple’s product page at apple.com/mac-mini.

GMKtec M7 and Beelink SEI: value alternatives
The M7 at $395 paired a Ryzen 7 Pro 6850H with 16GB DDR5, a 1TB SSD, quad-4K display support and OCuLink. It was a strong specification-per-dollar option, but the processor is an older generation. The Beelink SEI at $349 used a Ryzen 7 6800H and 16GB RAM, yet its 500GB SSD leaves less room for applications and media. Both are sensible only after checking the seller, warranty provider and exact configuration.
Best cheap mini PCs
GMKtec M5 Plus: the sensible budget tier
At $309, the M5 Plus’s 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD were more practical than the cheapest N-series systems for regular multitasking. “Ryzen 7” should not obscure that the 5825U is a Zen 3-era mobile chip. It remains suitable for office applications, study, many browser tabs and light content work, but it is not equivalent to newer Ryzen 7 processors.
Geekom Mini Air12 Lite: only for basic workloads
The $179 listing combined Intel N150, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. That is adequate for browsing, streaming, presentations, point-of-sale software and simple digital-signage duties. It is a poor fit for sustained editing, modern gaming, virtual machines or heavy browser workloads. A low purchase price can become a false economy if a memory or storage upgrade is needed immediately.
Other documented low-cost listings
TechRadar also listed a GenMachine Ryzen 7 6800H system at $290 from $380, an Acemagic M1 at $329 from $459 with 16GB/512GB, and a Machenike system at $349 from $400 with Ryzen 7 8745HS, 16GB and 512GB. PCWorld listed an Acemagic V1 at $187.24 from $319 with N150, 16GB and 1TB, and a Kamrui E3B at about $309–$310 after discount or coupon with Ryzen 7 7730U and 16GB/512GB. These marketplace offers required especially careful verification of seller, coupon, power adapter, Windows activation and return terms.

Creator and performance choices
When to consider the Geekom IT15 AI or A8 Max
The IT15 AI’s advertised $1,099 price from $1,699 placed it in a premium creator tier. At this level, expect a meaningful gain in sustained CPU performance, memory, storage, connectivity or cooling—not merely a larger percentage discount. The Geekom A8/A8 Max families were also positioned for higher-end Windows work, but the cited coverage did not establish one comparable Cyber Monday configuration and price for this table.
Why 32GB and 1TB matter
For editing, local development, virtual machines, large photo catalogs and long service life, 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD are preferable. USB4 or Thunderbolt-class connectivity helps with fast external storage; an SD-card reader can simplify camera workflows. Check sustained cooling and display outputs rather than relying on an “AI PC” label or a short manufacturer benchmark.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Gaming and eGPU expansion
Radeon 680M and 780M integrated graphics can handle esports titles, older games and reduced settings, but they are not substitutes for a current discrete gaming GPU. The K8 Plus’s Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32GB and 1TB made it the stronger documented light-gaming configuration at $549; the K12 offered a cheaper expansion path.
OCuLink can connect an external GPU with lower overhead than some generic interfaces, but the complete setup requires an enclosure or dock, graphics card, power supply and cable. Add those costs before deciding that a mini PC is cheaper than a conventional gaming desktop. The Mac mini M4 does not provide the same conventional OCuLink eGPU route.

- 【AMD Ryzen 7330U】 – The Efficiency-Tuned Powerhouse,AMD Ryzen 7330U (Zen 3, SMT, 4C/8T) in KAMRUI P2 mini PC crushes rivals: Intel i3-10110U (2C/4T, 2019) and N95 (4 efficiency cores, no HT, single-channel memory). Vs predecessor Ryzen 3 4300U (4C/4T): ~50% faster single-core, ~46% multi-core, 8MB L3 cache (vs 4MB). Beats both Intel chips hugely in multi-core, making heavy multitasking, coding, data work smooth at just 15W TDP. High-end power in a cool, efficient box.
- 【AMD Radeon Graphics】– Triple 4K Vision & Fluidity,The integrated Radeon Graphics (based on the modern Vega architecture with 6 CUs) is a visual beast, outclassing the iGPU offerings from both AMD's prior generation and Intel. The Intel UHD Graphics (i3-10110U/N95) struggles with single-channel memory and low execution units, crippling its gaming performance and barely handling basic 4K video without stuttering. While the older Radeon Vega 5 (4300U) was decent, our 7330U's Radeon Graphics (6 CUs) pushes the boundaries, delivering higher graphics clock speeds (up to 1.8GHz) and significantly better rendering capabilities. It can drive triple 4K@60Hz displays with zero lag, edit photos/videos.
- 【Generous Storage & Easy Expansion】The KAMRUI Pinova P2 mini desktop computers comes with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM (higher frequency, lower power) for buttery‑smooth multitasking, and a 256GB M.2 SSD for blazing fast boot‑up, quick file transfers, and no more long loading screens. It also features two storage expansion slots (1x M.2 2280 SATA/NVMe PCIe 3.0 slot + 1x M.2 2280 SATA slot), supporting up to 4TB total (not included). You’ll have all the space you need for projects, media, and important data.
- 【Triple 4K Display Output】The KAMRUI Pinova P2 mini desktop pc is equipped with HDMI 2.0 ×1 + DP 1.4 ×1 + USB 3.2 Gen2 Type‑C ×1 (with DP Alt Mode), enabling simultaneous triple 4K@60Hz output. Whether for home entertainment, remote work, or conference room presentations, it delivers an immersive visual experience. Two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type‑A ports (up to 10Gbps – 21x faster than USB 2.0) make data transfers and device expansion a breeze.
- 【USB 3.2 Gen2 Type‑C: 10Gbps & Versatile Connectivity】The USB 3.2 Gen2 Type‑C port on the KAMRUI P2 small pc supports 10Gbps data transfer speeds and can also output DisplayPort 1.4 video. Together with Gigabit LAN, Wi‑Fi, and Bluetooth, you get a fast, flexible, and productive connected environment – wired or wireless.
How much should you spend?
- Under $200: Buy only for browsing, streaming, basic office work, point-of-sale or signage. Expect 8GB memory, small SSDs and limited upgrade paths.
- $250–$400: This was the value sweet spot for study, office multitasking and occasional light gaming. The M5 Plus and M7 illustrate why 16GB/512GB or better is preferable here.
- $400–$650: Look for Ryzen 7-class processors, 32GB configurations, 1TB SSDs, Radeon 780M graphics, USB4 and useful expansion such as OCuLink.
- $700 and above: Choose a creator or premium machine only when the extra money buys measurable CPU performance, memory, storage, connectivity or graphics capability.
Specifications that decide whether a bargain is real
CPU generation
Modern Intel N-series and Ryzen 5 chips can cover basic use. Ryzen 7 or Core Ultra 7/9 systems are more appropriate for multitasking and creative work, but generation, architecture and sustained power matter more than the tier name alone.
Memory
- 16GB: sensible minimum for a new general-purpose Windows mini PC.
- 32GB: better for editing, virtual machines, development and longevity.
- 8GB: acceptable only for basic use at a genuinely low price.
Confirm whether memory is socketed or soldered and whether the advertised maximum applies to your SKU.
Storage and ports
Choose at least 512GB for a Windows desktop used beyond light browsing; 1TB is preferable for games, media and creative projects. Check USB4 or Thunderbolt, USB-A, HDMI/DisplayPort count, Wi-Fi generation, 2.5GbE, SD-card access, VESA hardware and eGPU support.
Mac mini versus Windows mini PCs
| Consideration | Mac mini M4 | Typical Windows alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | macOS; excellent if required applications support it | Windows compatibility and broader game/software selection |
| Upgradeability | Memory and internal storage are not user-upgradeable like socketed systems | Many models allow SODIMM and M.2 replacement; verify each model |
| Base storage | 256GB at the documented $479 configuration | Commonly 512GB or 1TB, but cheaper models may have 256GB |
| Expansion | External storage and peripherals | Some offer USB4, multiple M.2 slots or OCuLink |
| Gaming | Different game support; no conventional OCuLink eGPU path | Integrated Radeon graphics and optional OCuLink eGPU on selected models |
| Support | Established Apple retail and service network | Support and returns vary widely by brand and marketplace seller |
Checklist before buying a deal
- Match the price to the exact CPU, RAM, SSD and Windows edition shown at checkout.
- Check whether a coupon, Prime membership, account checkbox or other condition is required.
- Identify the actual seller, return window and warranty provider.
- Confirm US power-adapter compatibility, shipping region, taxes and delivery date.
- Check that Windows is included and legitimately activated.
- Verify memory type, upgradeability, SSD slots, monitor outputs and networking.
- Treat the “was” price as an advertised reference unless independent price history proves otherwise.
- Recheck stock and configuration: deal pages reported sellouts and price changes during the sale.
Because the sale ended in 2025, remove expired purchase links or label them as archival references. No August 2026 price or stock should be inferred from the figures above.
The Bottom Line
The best documented Cyber Monday 2025 Windows bargain was the GMKtec K12 at an advertised $410, while the $479 Mac mini M4 was the strongest simple macOS choice. The M5 Plus made more sense for budget multitasking, and the $179 Mini Air12 Lite was worthwhile only for basic computing. These are historical benchmarks, not current offers: judge any replacement deal by its exact configuration, upgrade path, seller and total ownership cost.
