Samsung Pakistan’s listed prices are Rs. 334,999 for the Galaxy S25 (512GB listing), Rs. 459,999 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra 512GB, and Rs. 539,999 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra 1TB. A dependable current S25+ price was not verifiable from the indexed official listings. Those local prices are not the same thing as a tax quote for an imported handset: the final FBR duty and registration payment is calculated in DIRBS against the phone’s exact IMEI, assessed value and the applicant’s passport or CNIC route.

Samsung’s S25 buying page shows 128GB, 256GB and 512GB options for the standard model; the indexed 512GB configuration was Rs. 334,999. The Ultra page shows 256GB, 512GB and 1TB options, with the two prices above. Neither page’s price should be treated as an additional, separately payable “PTA tax” bill.

Expired promotion prices
Samsung’s Football Season promotion listed S25 512GB at Rs. 256,999 and S25 Ultra 512GB at Rs. 355,555, but it ended on July 20, 2026. Those figures are not August regular prices. Promotions, trade-ins and bank offers must be checked separately.
Does a Samsung Pakistan price include PTA tax?
Samsung says purchases facilitated by its Pakistan e-store do not incur an extra duties or sales-tax charge after purchase, subject to government policy, and that applicable duties are the same through its e-store and retail outlets. In practical terms, the buyer sees a local PKR selling price rather than arranging a separate DIRBS payment. Read Samsung’s duties and taxes FAQ.
Do not extend that statement to every marketplace listing. For a third-party phone, check the seller’s invoice, model code, warranty terms and every IMEI. A seller’s phrase “PTA approved” is not proof that the device is a factory-original Pakistan unit.
What “PTA tax” actually covers
“PTA tax” is consumer shorthand for the government duties and taxes paid during mobile-device registration. PTA/DIRBS records the device and its IMEI status; FBR duties and taxes are calculated through that process. DIRBS identifies compliant and non-compliant devices and can eventually block a non-compliant IMEI from Pakistani cellular networks. An imported phone’s overseas sticker price is therefore only one part of its cost. A CPID, patched or otherwise altered-IMEI handset is not equivalent to a phone whose original IMEI was legally registered through DIRBS.
How much is S25-series PTA tax?
There is no responsible universal S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra tax number based only on the model name. DIRBS can require the exact IMEI, storage/model variant, assessed customs value, current tax rules, exchange-rate assumptions and the applicant’s registration route. The official procedure generates a payment slip (PSID) after those details are processed; the live PSID overrides online tables.

The estimate source is Tijaraat’s S25 calculator. It may differ from a PSID because valuation rulings, tax-year rates, identity eligibility and currency assumptions change. FBR’s current withholding-tax rate card and 2026 Finance Bill illustrate why old “latest tax” charts should not be treated as permanent.
Passport versus CNIC registration
DIRBS offers different applicant routes. Passport registration is intended for eligible international travellers and depends on the applicable travel and identity conditions. CNIC registration is the normal route for a resident or someone not using the traveller route. The two routes can produce different amounts, but a passport does not guarantee a lower payment in every case.

FBR has previously issued clarifications about passport limits and calculation anomalies, including a cited policy discussion of up to five phones and a proposed one-set limit. Because eligibility and limits are policy-sensitive, follow the current DIRBS instructions rather than an old article or calculator. FBR’s clarification is available at this notice.
Check the exact amount before buying an imported phone
- Dial
*#06#and record every 15-digit IMEI. - For a dual-SIM or eSIM handset, record both cellular identifiers where shown.
- Match each IMEI with the box label, invoice and the phone’s Settings screen. Do not pay if they differ.
- Open the official DIRBS registration portal.
- Enter the required passport or CNIC and device information, then select the applicable registration route.
- Review the generated duty and tax amount and PSID before committing to the purchase.
- Pay only through the official banking channels displayed by DIRBS. Keep the receipt.
- Recheck both IMEIs’ status after payment. The 2024 procedure also references the
*8484#USSD channel.
A shop’s estimate, a social-media screenshot or a tax calculator is not a substitute for the amount shown for your IMEI.
What happens if an imported phone is not registered?
- A local SIM may work temporarily under the applicable DIRBS rules.
- A non-compliant IMEI can later be blocked from Pakistani mobile networks.
- Wi-Fi access does not make cellular use compliant.
- Registering one IMEI does not automatically settle a second IMEI in a dual-SIM phone.
- A factory reset, software update or network unlock does not change an IMEI’s registration status.
Temporary registration for overseas Pakistanis and visitors
FBR says it developed a temporary-registration arrangement with PTA, FIA and mobile operators for overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals who do not intend to keep a device in Pakistan. The cited announcement covers one handset. Temporary registration is not permanent PTA registration; check the live government portal for eligibility, duration and current implementation before relying on it at FBR’s announcement.

Imported total: phone price + shipping or traveller cost + DIRBS/FBR payment + handling or customs costs + expected adapter, warranty and repair risk.

Local total: Samsung Pakistan price + accessories − a valid current promotion or trade-in discount.
Choose the local model when the apparent import saving is smaller than registration, warranty and risk costs, or when the seller refuses to provide an IMEI before payment. Importing can make sense when DIRBS gives a confirmed amount, the device has usable warranty support, and the all-in saving remains substantial.
CPID, patched and altered-IMEI phones
Warning: “CPID,” “patched,” “server approved” and “one-SIM PTA” are seller descriptions, not proof of official registration.
- A factory-original IMEI legally registered through DIRBS is different from an IMEI changed or associated with another device.
- An altered IMEI can create network, update, warranty and resale problems.
- One working SIM does not prove that every IMEI is compliant.
- FBR/DIRBS guidance describes regularising the actual device and its IMEI; it does not endorse aftermarket IMEI alteration.
Before buying any used or imported S25, verify the IMEI directly in DIRBS and match it to the physical handset.

Checklist for a safe purchase
- Record the exact model code, storage and regional variant.
- Obtain all IMEIs before handing over money.
- Check every IMEI in DIRBS, not just the first SIM slot.
- Confirm whether the invoice and warranty are from Samsung Pakistan or an authorised local channel.
- Price the device only after adding the live PSID amount and likely support costs.
- Reject offers that depend on CPID, patching or an IMEI change.
The Bottom Line
For a straightforward purchase, the Samsung Pakistan price is the clearer all-in route: Rs. 334,999 for the indexed S25 512GB listing, Rs. 459,999 for the S25 Ultra 512GB and Rs. 539,999 for the 1TB Ultra. For an import, do not rely on a model-level tax table. Get the exact IMEI, generate the DIRBS PSID under the correct passport or CNIC route, and compare that confirmed total with the local price.
