What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Short answer: JaguarPC’s published guarantee is a real contractual network-availability SLA, but it is not a promise that your website, WordPress application, email, database, or server will never go offline. Qualifying network downtime can earn a service credit worth 10 times the measured outage, yet the credit is capped at one month’s hosting fee and depends on prompt ticket-based reporting. DDoS attacks, software failures, scheduled maintenance, upstream outages, and many customer-side problems are excluded.
For a low-cost or moderately important site, JaguarPC may be workable if you add independent monitoring and external backups. For revenue-critical operations, treat the SLA as one limited risk-control measure—not as business-continuity protection.
What JaguarPC advertises in 2026
JaguarPC sells shared/business hosting, managed VPS plans, dedicated servers and management services. Its business-hosting page advertises SSD or cloud options, free migration, daily backups, support by phone, chat, email and tickets, and a “10X Uptime SLA”: business hosting. JaguarPC advertises 24/7/365 support on several service pages, but the available evidence does not establish actual response or resolution performance.

| Offering | Displayed monthly price | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Business Lite | Approximately $3.87–$3.96 | Why the page shows two amounts, renewal rate and limits |
| Business Deluxe | $6.27 | Promotional term, renewal and included resources |
| Business Pro Cloud | $13.97 | Storage, backup scope and renewal pricing |
| Managed VPS Standard | $32.99 | 2 vCPUs, 4 GB RAM and 80 GB SSD are advertised specifications, not performance tests |
| Managed VPS Pro | $44.99 | Advertised resources and management inclusions |
| Managed VPS Advanced | $64.99 | Advertised resources and management inclusions |
| Managed VPS Enterprise | $89.99 | Advertised resources and management inclusions |
The separate Managed Plus service is displayed at $49 per month and advertises proactive monitoring, security hardening, optimization, OS reloads, backup configuration, restore assistance and a 30-minute support-response SLA: Managed Plus. A response-time promise is not the same as an availability promise.
What the “100% uptime” and “10X” wording actually means
Under JaguarPC’s Service Level Agreement, the 100% promise concerns JaguarPC-controlled network availability and specified data-center infrastructure such as routers, switches, cabling, power, HVAC, UPS and PDUs, subject to listed exceptions. It should be read as network uptime, not end-to-end website uptime.
| Marketing phrase | Practical contractual meaning |
|---|---|
| “100% uptime” | Availability of covered JaguarPC network and infrastructure, with exclusions |
| “10X uptime SLA” | A future account credit equal to 10 times qualifying measured downtime |
| Hardware guarantee | Mainly a dedicated-server component-replacement commitment after the fault is identified |
| 24/7 support | Advertised support-channel availability, not a guaranteed website-restoration time |
A reachable router does not prove that Apache, Nginx or LiteSpeed is serving pages, PHP workers and MySQL are healthy, DNS resolves, TLS is valid, email queues process, or the application has enough CPU, memory, disk I/O and inodes. cPanel, background jobs and APIs can fail while the covered network remains available.
How the 10X credit is calculated
For qualifying network downtime, JaguarPC states that the credit is 1,000% of measured downtime—effectively 10 hours of credit for one qualifying hour. The maximum, however, is 100% of the monthly service fee. It is an account credit toward a later invoice, not automatic cash, lost-sales compensation or reimbursement for consequential damage.
The SLA clock begins when you report the problem in a support ticket and ends when JaguarPC records a resolution in that ticket. That can differ materially from the moment an outside monitor or customer first detects failure.
Dedicated-server hardware is a separate case
JaguarPC says replacement begins after a dedicated-server hardware fault is identified and is guaranteed within two hours. A 10X credit may apply to time beyond that replacement window, capped at the monthly fee. Operating-system installation, software configuration, backup restoration and other post-replacement work are outside the two-hour replacement commitment.

What the SLA excludes
The exclusions determine whether a real outage earns anything. JaguarPC’s SLA excludes, among other events:
- Scheduled maintenance and hardware maintenance covered by the network section.
- Operating-system, kernel, application, daemon and other software or service failures.
- Server hardware failure under the network-availability guarantee.
- Upstream-provider or wider-internet outages.
- Your ISP, browser, DNS cache or local-connectivity problem.
- DDoS attacks, hacking, exploits and compromised servers.
- Customer-installed software, incorrect configuration, resource overuse or abuse.
- Actions by the customer, employees, users or third parties.
- Customer-server power-supply failure.
- Reinstallation, setup and data-restoration time after dedicated hardware replacement.
These carve-outs explain why a site can be unreachable for a long period without producing an SLA credit. A DDoS event is especially important: it is expressly excluded even when visitors cannot reach the site.
How to claim a credit
The process is narrow and deadline-driven. Keep the incident inside one ticket and preserve your own evidence.
Rank #4
- Keep the account in good standing.
- Open a JaguarPC support ticket immediately; do not wait for recovery.
- Record UTC start times, affected domains and IP addresses, services, status codes and error messages.
- Ask support to classify the event as network, hardware, software, maintenance, DDoS or customer configuration, and to acknowledge it in the ticket.
- Save screenshots and logs from an independent uptime monitor alongside every ticket reply.
- Submit the SLA-credit request within seven days of the incident, retaining the ticket number and correspondence.
JaguarPC must acknowledge and confirm the problem for the contractual measurement. Your monitor may show a longer outage, but that does not automatically control the SLA calculation.
What the 2026 independent evidence shows
The available independent review record is very small. Trustpilot currently shows one review, rated two stars, in which a customer alleges nearly six consecutive days of website and email disruption in February 2026 and says JaguarPC attributed it to a DDoS attack: Trustpilot reviews. The outage was not independently measured in the available source, and the explanation is the reviewer’s account rather than a published JaguarPC incident report.
The report is therefore a warning signal, not proof that JaguarPC routinely fails. It is still relevant because a correctly classified DDoS incident falls outside the published SLA. A separate review page also offers limited current review depth and appears to contain older plan information: Website Planet’s JaguarPC page.

Refund terms are inconsistent
JaguarPC’s guarantees page says shared hosting has an unconditional 30-day money-back guarantee. Its Terms of Service state 45 days for shared clients. The Terms exclude dedicated servers and colocation and exclude items such as add-ons, setup fees, licenses, administrative fees, support and design work.
Do not assume either period applies universally. Save the checkout terms and ask JaguarPC in writing which policy controls your exact plan, billing date and payment method.
Backups are not a complete recovery plan
JaguarPC says shared and semi-dedicated hosting receive daily backups: backup knowledgebase article. The Terms limit that promise: backups are provided without warranty, sites using more than 25 GB may be removed from the service, deleted or modified files may not be restored, a restore may cost $15, and large restores can take several days. Customers remain responsible for independent backups.
Before relying on the service, ask how many restore points exist, whether databases and email are included, the retention period, storage location, restore-time target and treatment of accounts above 25 GB. Maintain an off-provider backup and test a restore; “daily” does not establish a recovery-point or recovery-time objective.
Who is JaguarPC a reasonable fit for?
Potentially suitable
- Budget-conscious owners of non-critical or moderately critical sites.
- Agencies, resellers and WordPress operators willing to monitor externally.
- Customers who value advertised phone, chat, email and ticket support.
- Users prepared to maintain independent backups and a migration plan.
- Businesses for which a capped service credit is preferable to no remedy, but not a substitute for lost-revenue protection.
Higher-risk choice
- Businesses needing contractual end-to-end website, email, database and API availability.
- Operations that cannot tolerate DDoS exclusions or credit-only remedies.
- Companies requiring independently published status history, guaranteed backup retention or defined restore times.
- Organizations seeking compensation that scales beyond one month’s fee or covers consequential losses.
- Teams unable to manage software, configuration and recovery responsibilities on a VPS.
Pre-purchase verification checklist
- Obtain the exact SLA and refund terms for the plan and billing date in writing.
- Ask what happens during DDoS mitigation and whether any separate protection or credit applies.
- Confirm renewal pricing, billing term, taxes, add-ons, IP charges and backup limits at checkout.
- Ask where the account will be hosted and which infrastructure components are covered.
- Open pre-sales and technical tickets to assess the usefulness—not merely the existence—of support.
- Start with a low-risk site before migrating a revenue-critical property.
- Install independent multi-location monitoring and preserve UTC evidence.
- Keep encrypted backups outside JaguarPC and perform a test restore.
- Use a CDN or DDoS-protection layer when attack exposure is material.
- Document a migration and failover plan before committing long term.
Verdict: believe the guarantee, but narrowly
JaguarPC’s promise is credible as a narrowly defined, claim-based network SLA. Its headline “100% uptime” language is broader than the protection: software, applications, many hardware events, upstream failures, customer problems, maintenance and DDoS attacks can all fall outside it. The 10X remedy is conditional, ticket-timed and capped at one month’s fee.
Quick Recap
Choose JaguarPC only if that risk profile fits your business and you are willing to add monitoring, external backups and a recovery plan. If an outage threatens sales, compliance or reputation, compare providers on the scope of their contractual remedy, backup guarantees, DDoS handling and renewal terms—not on the uptime percentage in a marketing banner.
