Status: This is an archived roundup of prices reported on November 28, 2025—not live October 2026 deal coverage. Black Friday 2026 is November 27, and its offers require fresh retailer verification. Prices, stock, colors, bands, coupons and delivery can change quickly.
The most useful mainstream deal was the 13-inch M4 MacBook Air for $749 (a reported $250 reduction). The largest nominal saving—$550—applied to a highly configured M4 Max MacBook Pro priced at $5,299, so it was not the best value for most shoppers.

Apple direct versus retailers
Apple’s U.S. store, Mac buying page and iPad buying page are useful for current-generation comparison, education pricing, trade-in, certified refurbished products and support. Apple Card Monthly Installments and trade-in reduce financing or net cost, but they are not the same as a retailer’s immediate cash markdown.
As an August 18, 2026 reference, Apple’s pages listed newer products such as M5 Macs, M4 iPad Air, Apple Watch Series 11 and AirPods Pro 3. Those reference prices are not Black Friday 2025 prices.
- Amazon: often the sharpest short-term prices; verify “sold by” and “shipped by,” coupon boxes and returns.
- B&H Photo: useful for detailed Mac configurations; some offers required website activation and did not work in the app.
- Best Buy: local pickup, trade-in and possible membership conditions.
- Walmart: competitive entry-level pricing; distinguish Walmart from marketplace sellers.
- Target: gift-card or rewards promotions can be valuable only if you will use them.
How to choose by budget and buyer
- Under $100: non-ANC AirPods 4, an AirTag, or cables.
- Under $300: A16 iPad or Apple Watch SE 3.
- Under $500: iPad mini, iPad Air, Mac mini or Series 11, depending on whether you need portability, drawing, desktop work or health features.
- Student: MacBook Air or iPad Air; verify education eligibility and budget for storage and a keyboard.
- Creative professional: MacBook Pro only with enough unified memory and storage for the workload.
- Family gift: AirTag four-pack, AirPods or Watch SE.
- Home office: Mac mini plus separately priced monitor and peripherals.
Windows laptops can provide more RAM or storage at the same price, Android tablets can offer larger screens for less, and Garmin or Fitbit watches can deliver longer battery life or broader phone compatibility. These alternatives matter when Apple ecosystem features are not the priority.
Black Friday checkout checklist
- Confirm chip, generation, screen size, RAM, storage and Wi‑Fi, GPS or cellular status.
- Check the exact seller, fulfillment method, return window and warranty; avoid unexplained marketplace listings.
- Apply any on-page coupon and verify that it appears in the cart. Some B&H offers required a desktop or mobile website rather than the app.
- Calculate total cost, including tax, shipping, AppleCare, a cellular plan, monitor, keyboard or subscriptions.
- Check color, band, delivery date and inventory. A sold-out style is not an available deal.
- Compare the discounted older model with the current entry-level model, not only with its former list price.
- Save the order confirmation and recheck the final price before submitting payment.
What “save up to $550” really means
The headline was technically accurate for one unusually expensive M4 Max MacBook Pro configuration. A dollar saving is not a value score: a 50% coupon, gift card, trade-in credit, financing offer and carrier promotion each have different conditions. “Record low” claims also require an exact model and an independently documented price history; the historical roundup did not establish a universal lowest-ever price for every item.

For a typical buyer, the $749 MacBook Air, $69 AirPods 4, $274 iPad or $479 Mac mini were more practical starting points than the five-figure-style MacBook Pro configuration. Since all listed prices are historical, wait for verified 2026 retailer offers if you are shopping now.
