Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is India’s largest IT company by audited consolidated revenue for FY2025–26, followed by Infosys, HCLTech and Wipro. This ranking uses each company’s reported global revenue for the financial year ended March 31, 2026 (FY26), not market capitalization, profit, headcount or share-price performance. Figures were available as of August 9, 2026.

India’s top IT companies by FY26 revenue

There is no single government-issued list of “top IT companies in India.” The table below applies one transparent measure: audited consolidated FY26 revenue, ranked by scale. How to use this ranking

Revenue is a scale measure, not an investment verdict

A larger revenue base can indicate broader delivery capacity and client reach, but it does not establish superior profitability, growth, valuation, employee experience or shareholder returns. Those require separate comparisons of margins, cash flow, order bookings, attrition, balance-sheet strength and valuation.

FY26 is not calendar year 2026

For these Indian companies, FY26 means the financial year that ended March 31, 2026. Comparing this list with calendar-year rankings can produce misleading conclusions because the reporting periods differ. TCS explains the reporting period.

“In India” describes origin, not sales geography

The companies are Indian-origin businesses with substantial global operations. Their consolidated revenue should not be read as revenue generated only inside India.

Other ways “top” can be measured

  • Market capitalization: reflects the stock market’s valuation, which can diverge sharply from revenue.
  • Profitability: operating margin, net profit and free cash flow show how effectively revenue converts into returns.
  • Growth: constant-currency and rupee growth can differ because of exchange rates.
  • Specialization: engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, financial-services or telecom expertise may matter more than total scale for a particular client or career.
  • Employer or career rankings: use different evidence and should not be substituted for a revenue ranking.

Accordingly, this is a scale ranking for FY26—not a recommendation to buy any stock, choose an employer or select a vendor.
