Drop’s final deadline for direct orders and unused Drop Rewards was March 25, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. On March 31, Drop stopped operating as a standalone e-commerce store. That does not mean every Drop product was discontinued: Drop.com now serves mainly as a collaboration and product-announcement hub, while selected products may be sold through Corsair, Amazon, and Best Buy.
The two dates that matter
| Date | What changed |
|---|---|
| 2023 | Corsair announced the acquisition of Drop’s assets, saying Drop would remain a separate brand. Corsair’s acquisition announcement |
| March 25, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PT | Last time to place an order on Drop.com and redeem unused Drop Rewards. Drop’s transition announcement |
| March 31, 2026 | Drop ended its standalone online-store operation. |
| August 2026 | Drop remains active as a collaboration and announcement hub, including licensed projects involving properties such as The Lord of the Rings, Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout Nuka-Cola and Doom: The Dark Ages. Drop’s current collaboration page |
Calling this “Corsair halting Drop sales after March 25” is therefore incomplete. March 25 was the ordering cutoff; March 31 was the storefront transition. The official statements do not say that the Drop brand disappeared or that all products were permanently discontinued.
Why Corsair changed Drop’s role
Drop and Corsair describe the move as integration into Corsair’s broader business, with Drop concentrating on community-driven collaborations and limited releases. Corsair’s earlier announcement said its distribution network could make Drop products more widely available. Corsair’s “Drop joins the Corsair family” announcement
No public statement establishes that poor sales, layoffs, a product-quality problem or financial distress caused the change. Treat those explanations as speculation unless Corsair documents them separately.

What happens to customers
| Situation | What the official information says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Existing order or preorder | Existing orders, including preorders, were expected to be fulfilled as previously expected. | Keep the confirmation and use the Drop Help Center for tracking or support. Do not place a replacement order simply because Drop.com changed format. |
| Unused Drop Rewards | Rewards had to be redeemed by March 25, 2026; remaining rewards are no longer redeemable. | Old rewards codes and promotional credits should not be treated as active payment. |
| Drop-branded keyboard or headphones | The current FAQ states a minimum one-year Drop warranty. | For a covered failure, gather proof of purchase, serial number, photos and correspondence before contacting support. |
| Third-party product bought through Drop | Third-party items are subject to Drop’s 30-day return policy, under the applicable terms. | Separate a return request from a warranty claim; the responsible brand may differ. |
Warranty coverage is not the same as a return right. A warranty generally addresses a manufacturing defect or covered failure, while a return policy addresses an eligible request to send back an item. Product-specific terms, proof-of-purchase requirements and regional rules can apply.
Where selected products may be sold
Drop’s FAQ identifies Corsair, Amazon and Best Buy as channels for select Drop products. That is not a promise that the entire former catalog will reappear, remain in stock or be available in every country.
The transition announcement specifically mentioned products such as the CSTM80 and a range of licensed offerings moving to Corsair or partner channels. A product can be announced as continuing yet still be temporarily unavailable. A marketplace listing can also show the right name but the wrong revision, seller, accessories or warranty.

Verify a listing before buying
- Search the exact product name, model number and revision.
- Check whether the seller is Corsair, Amazon, Best Buy or an unidentified marketplace seller.
- Confirm who provides the warranty and where a return must be sent.
- Check the condition: new, refurbished, used or open-box.
- Compare the regional keyboard layout, included cable, receiver, accessories and packaging.
- Save the listing, invoice and warranty language in case the page changes.
Keyboard-specific checks
Drop keyboards often depend on details that are easy to miss in a marketplace listing. Confirm the exact layout, especially ANSI or ISO and any nonstandard bottom row, before assuming replacement keycaps will fit. Check whether switches are hot-swappable or soldered, whether the board is wired or wireless, and whether the required configurator or firmware remains available.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAlso verify USB-C cable and receiver inclusion, battery condition on old wireless stock, and access to replacement switches, stabilizers and keycaps. The Drop Help Center continues to provide troubleshooting and configurator documentation for owners.
Audio-specific checks
Determine whether the item is Drop-branded or a third-party collaboration. For headphones, check replacement pad and cable availability, connector type, revision, proof-of-purchase rules and the actual warranty issuer. A familiar model name may refer to old packaging, a revised configuration, refurbished stock or a used listing.

Should you buy remaining Drop stock?
Buying can make sense when
- You specifically want a licensed collaboration or limited design with no confirmed successor.
- The exact configuration is available from an authorized or clearly identified seller.
- Return, warranty and replacement-part terms are acceptable.
- You value that product more than future ecosystem support.
Waiting or choosing an alternative is safer when
- The item is a standard model likely to appear through Corsair or a retail partner.
- You need dependable firmware updates or replacement batteries, pads, switches, cables or keycaps.
- The listing has an unclear seller, revision, condition or warranty.
- The purchase is driven mainly by “fire sale” or resale expectations.
Compare the product itself with current Corsair models and other established keyboards or headphones. Evaluate layout, switch compatibility, wireless behavior, software support, parts availability, return terms and warranty clarity rather than assuming the Drop name adds value.

What Drop is—and is not—now
Drop is no longer the general-purpose storefront it was before March 2026. Its site is being used for collaborations and announcements, while distribution of selected hardware is handled through Corsair and retail partners. The official material does not provide a definitive product-by-product migration list, so availability must be checked model by model and country by country.
