Dell Technologies’ partner-focused event took place on May 19, 2025, at the Venetian Conference & Expo Center in Las Vegas, alongside Dell Technologies World 2025. The Global Partner Conference—also called the Global Partner Summit in contemporary coverage—focused on how resellers, distributors, managed-service providers and integrators could sell Dell’s AI, storage, PC and private-cloud portfolio. The central message from chief partner officer Denise Millard was that Dell was “all in” on partners, with new incentives and a stronger push toward complete AI and infrastructure solutions.
Some products discussed in the partner sessions were announced on the wider Dell Technologies World stage rather than at a separate product-launch event. That distinction matters: the summit explained the commercial opportunity and route to market, while the broader conference supplied much of the detailed product news.
What happened at the Global Partner Summit?
The partner program ran on May 19, 2025, at the Venetian Conference & Expo Center. Dell Technologies World ran at the same Las Vegas venue from May 19 through May 22. Partner keynotes began at approximately 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time, according to ITPro’s live coverage.
Denise Millard led the first partner keynote. John Scannell and other Dell executives addressed the commercial opportunity, while Michael Dell and additional executives appeared in the wider Dell Technologies World program. The audience included channel partners, customers and technology ecosystem participants.

Dell’s official conference guide shows why the two events were held together: partners could discuss incentives, competencies and sales execution while customers evaluated the underlying servers, storage, PCs, networking and software.
Dell’s message to partners
Millard said Dell had spent the previous 18 months investing in its partner program, go-to-market model, tools and processes. Her stated goal was a more predictable engagement model designed to support profitable and sustainable growth. The program emphasized collaboration and planning rather than one-off transactions.
Dell’s 2025 partner-program material highlighted AI solutions, storage, sustainability and cross-portfolio selling. Dell also said partners generated approximately 50% of its net revenue. That is a Dell-reported figure, not an independently audited measure presented at the summit. Dell’s Canadian partner-program article also cited Canalys’ expectation that more than 70% of the global addressable technology market would be partner-delivered in 2025; that forecast should be read as Canalys’ market context as quoted by Dell, not as a result of the event.
Program details, tiers and incentives can vary by country and partner level. The current program information is at Dell’s partner page.

Incentives moved storage and PCs up the sales agenda
Storage rewards
The live coverage reported that Dell increased seller rewards for storage revenue. Millard described double-digit channel-revenue growth, PowerStore revenue growth of more than 20% and more than 40% growth in the relevant partner sales collaboration group. These are Dell executive claims from the event; they do not establish total Dell storage growth or independent market share.
The practical change was a stronger financial reason for partners to lead with storage modernization, cyber resilience and data infrastructure rather than treating storage as an attachment to a server sale.
PC refresh incentives
Dell also promoted a growth incentive and enhanced client rebate for PC sellers. Windows 10 end of support was presented as a refresh catalyst, particularly for fleets bought three to five years earlier. Age alone does not determine Windows 11 eligibility: processor generation, TPM, firmware and Microsoft’s requirements must be checked for every device.
The opportunity included Dell’s redesigned commercial portfolio, AI PCs and endpoint-management tools such as Dell Management Portal and Dell Device Management Console, including Microsoft Intune integration. The wider conference introduced the Dell Pro Max Plus laptop and Dell Pro Max with GB10, a compact system positioned for AI development or edge inference.

AI was the summit’s overarching partner opportunity
Dell framed the AI opportunity as a move from experiments to production deployments. Its AI Factory with NVIDIA spans PCs, workstations, servers, storage, networking, software and services. The “AI Factory” is a marketing umbrella for an integrated portfolio, not one single appliance.
For partners, the sale is therefore broader than a GPU. Customers need architecture, data pipelines, governance, security, model deployment, monitoring and lifecycle support. Agentic AI increases demand for compute and storage, but also for data movement, low-latency networking and operations expertise. Local inference and AI PCs create smaller opportunities at offices, factories and remote sites where sending every workload to a hyperscale cloud is unsuitable.

Storage, cyber resilience and data services
The wider Dell Technologies World announcements supplied several storage opportunities discussed with partners. Dell claimed that PowerProtect Data Domain All-Flash appliances could deliver restores up to four times faster and replication up to twice as fast. It also claimed up to 40% less rack space and up to 80% lower power consumption compared with HDD systems. Those are Dell comparative claims based on its stated internal testing, not independent benchmarks.
- PowerStore Advanced Ransomware Detection: security features intended to help identify suspicious activity in primary storage.
- PowerScale: cybersecurity and object-storage enhancements for large unstructured-data environments.
- ObjectScale: object storage that Dell positioned for cloud integration, including Amazon S3 and Wasabi options and Amazon EC2 cloud-burst and backup scenarios.
- PowerStore installed base: Dell stated that more than 17,000 customers worldwide used PowerStore; this is a Dell-reported installed-base figure.

Private cloud, automation and the edge
Dell used the conference to promote disaggregated infrastructure: shared pools of compute, storage and networking managed through software rather than fixed, siloed appliances. Dell Private Cloud and Dell Automation Platform were paired with validated blueprints involving Broadcom, Nutanix and Red Hat.
Dell said its automation could reduce deployment to 90% fewer steps than a manual process and create a cluster in approximately two and a half hours. Those figures describe Dell’s approach under its stated conditions; they are not universal private-cloud benchmarks. Licensing, staffing, network design and ongoing operations still determine total cost.

Dell NativeEdge extended the discussion to virtualized workloads in remote branches and other edge locations. Dell positioned it for mixed environments, including certain non-Dell and legacy infrastructure. Partners should verify that every existing hardware and software component is supported before promising a unified edge-management deployment.

The ecosystem around the announcements
NVIDIA supplied GPUs, networking, AI software and validated designs. Red Hat was relevant to OpenShift and private-cloud deployments; Nutanix and Broadcom to private-cloud software options. Cohere appeared in the enterprise-agent and data-integration context. AMD and Intel remained part of Dell’s broader compute and client ecosystem, while Hugging Face represented the model and software ecosystem. Microsoft connected to Windows, Intune and enterprise client management, and CoreWeave provided large-scale GPU-cloud context.
These companies were not all formal sponsors of the partner summit. Several were ecosystem participants in the broader Dell Technologies World program, so their presence should not be read as identical commercial relationships with Dell’s partner event.
What Dell did not settle at the summit
- Exact incentive amounts, rebate formulas and regional eligibility.
- Partner-tier requirements, certifications and competency thresholds.
- Public pricing or total cost of ownership for AI servers, storage, private-cloud stacks and managed services.
- Independent validation of Dell’s performance, power-efficiency and deployment claims.
- Long-term GPU supply, lead times and supported configurations.
- Whether a specific workload belongs on premises, at the edge, in private cloud or in a public cloud.
Partners and buyers should verify current terms, orderability, GPU availability, power and liquid-cooling requirements, NVIDIA licensing, Red Hat/Nutanix/Broadcom subscriptions, support ownership and data-protection compatibility before signing a project.

How to turn the announcements into a buying decision
- Start with the workload. Define training, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, inference volume, latency and data-residency requirements.
- Check the facility. Confirm rack space, electrical capacity, cooling, network uplinks and physical security before selecting a GPU configuration.
- Cost the complete stack. Include servers, storage, switches, software subscriptions, support, implementation, backup, staffing and electricity—not only GPU hardware.
- Choose the operating model. Compare on-premises, edge, private-cloud and public-cloud options against demand volatility and internal skills.
- Assign support clearly. Document whether Dell, the reseller, an MSP or a software vendor owns first-line support and recovery response.
- Verify commercial eligibility. Confirm partner incentives, rebates, deal registration and geographic rules in writing.
- Test before scaling. Require a pilot with the customer’s data, security controls and model-serving software rather than relying on a product label.
Bottom line for partners and buyers
The significance of the May 19 summit was not one isolated product launch. Dell was positioning its channel as the route to market for a complete stack: AI compute and networking, storage and cyber resilience, PCs and edge systems, private-cloud software, implementation and ongoing management. That creates opportunities for partners with architecture, data, security and services capabilities—not just hardware resale.
It also raises the bar. Dell’s incentives may improve the economics of selected storage and client deals, but eligibility is regional and tier-specific. Dell’s AI and efficiency figures are vendor claims, and the products announced in May 2025 require current checks for availability and supported configurations. Buyers should treat the summit as a portfolio and partner-strategy signal, then validate workload fit, facility readiness, licensing and total cost before committing.
