The strongest values were OLED models such as LG’s B5 and Samsung’s Best Buy-exclusive S84F, while Hisense supplied the most screen size for the money with Mini-LED and QLED sets. Prices, stock, membership rules and exact specifications varied by SKU, and many 2025 models are now clearance or open-box products.
Best Buy’s current Black Friday-filtered page mixes 2025 and 2026 televisions, so it is not a reliable archive of the 2025 sale: Best Buy’s filtered listings.
Quick verdict: which 2025 deals mattered?
| Model or deal | Panel | Reported 2025 price | Best for | Main compromise | Status in 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LG B5 OLED (48-inch and other sizes) | OLED | Lowest-ever Best Buy pricing was reported; a later deal report cited $999 for the B5, with size and date qualification | Movies, gaming and OLED value | Lower brightness and processing than LG’s C-series; static-content burn-in risk | Historical price; check clearance or open-box inventory |
| Samsung S84F, including 65-inch QN65S84FA | OLED | $899 was reported in a dated deal roundup | OLED value when discounted below comparable Samsung models | Best Buy-exclusive suffix requires specification checking; no Dolby Vision support on Samsung OLED TVs | Historical price |
| Hisense U8QG | Mini-LED/QLED | Price not stated in the cited coverage | Bright rooms and HDR without OLED pricing | Blooming, processing and quality consistency vary by tier | Model may remain as clearance or used stock |
| Hisense 75-inch QLED (exact SKU not stated) | QLED LCD | $378, reduced from $499, as reported by MacRumors | Maximum screen size per dollar | Exact model and performance were not established | Do not assume this price or model is still available |
| Samsung The Frame Pro | Lifestyle LCD | Lowest price yet was reported by TechRadar; exact price not stated | Art display and design-led rooms | You pay for appearance and ambient display features, not class-leading movie performance | Historical promotion |

Best LG deals
LG B5 OLED: the value choice
The B5 was the clearest LG value target. Its OLED panel delivers true black levels, high contrast, wide viewing angles and extremely fast response for games. TechRadar called its Best Buy Black Friday price a lowest-ever deal, while Tom’s Guide later cited a $999 B5 price. Those figures are historical signals, not a current quote, and the exact size and promotion date must be checked on any surviving listing.

- Free Content: Stream for free. Access over 1 million free movies and TV episodes from popular ad-supported streaming apps like Fire TV Channels, Tubi, and Pluto TV. Subscriptions may be required. Feature and content availability may vary.
Choose the B5 for a dark or moderately lit room, films, console gaming and buyers who want OLED without paying C-series prices. The trade-off is less brightness and processing headroom than higher LG tiers. Static news tickers, sports scoreboards or an always-on desktop make a bright Mini-LED safer; no blanket warranty assumption should be made about burn-in coverage.
LG C5 and QNED alternatives
A C5 made sense only when its price premium over the B5 was small enough to buy more brightness or processing capability. LG QNED and QNED evo LCD models were the non-OLED route for shoppers concerned about static content or who needed a larger screen in a bright room. LG advertised up to 45% off select TVs and a Black Friday Price Guarantee through December 1, 2025, but that manufacturer promotion did not prove that every Best Buy listing qualified: LG’s promotion details.

Best Samsung deals
S84F OLED: verify the suffix
Consumer Reports identified the 65-inch QN65S84FA as a Best Buy-exclusive 2025 configuration. Tom’s Guide later reported the 65-inch S84F at $899. Compare the complete model number, ports, refresh rate and included stand rather than assuming an S84F is identical to an S90F or another retailer’s model.
Samsung OLEDs can be excellent for movies and gaming, but Samsung does not support Dolby Vision. Buyers whose streaming setup depends on Dolby Vision should verify format support before choosing one. Brightness, anti-reflection treatment and the actual sale price determine whether an S84F or S90F is the better buy.

Neo QLED, QLED and The Frame Pro
Samsung’s Neo QLED and QLED families are better suited to strong daylight and large sports viewing than many OLEDs. The Frame Pro belongs in a lifestyle category: TechRadar reported a record-low Best Buy price during the 2025 sale, but its art mode and design premium do not make it the best movie TV at any discount.
Best Hisense deals
U8QG: the step-up Mini-LED
Consumer Reports described the U8QG as a higher-tier Hisense with quantum dots and Mini-LED backlighting. That makes it a credible bright-room alternative to OLED, with stronger sustained brightness and large-screen value. It is not representative of every inexpensive Hisense: lower tiers can give up local-dimming control, motion processing, upscaling and consistency.

Large QLED bargains
MacRumors reported a 75-inch Hisense QLED at $378, down from $499. Because the exact SKU was not established, treat this as a size-per-dollar example rather than a model recommendation. Confirm the model number, native refresh rate, HDR performance, return eligibility and whether the price required a membership or other condition.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.OLED, Mini-LED or standard LED?
Choose OLED when
- You watch films in a dim room and want the cleanest blacks and contrast.
- Fast pixel response and wide viewing angles matter for gaming.
- Your viewing does not put static logos or tickers on screen for long periods.
Choose Mini-LED or QLED when
- Windows or overhead lighting make sustained brightness a priority.
- You want a 75-inch or larger screen for less money.
- You prefer avoiding OLED image-retention concerns.
Choose standard LED when
- The TV is for a bedroom, guest room or casual streaming.
- Lowest purchase price matters more than HDR impact and contrast.
- You accept weaker upscaling, motion handling and limited local dimming.
Mini-LED can still show blooming around subtitles or stars, and a large discount does not turn a budget processor into a flagship one.

How to tell a real bargain from a fake discount
- Compare the sale price with the model’s lowest known historical price, not only the crossed-out MSRP.
- Check the successor model and nearby screen sizes; a newer 55-inch set can be better value than an old 65-inch clearance unit.
- Read the full SKU suffix for retailer-exclusive hardware or software differences.
- Record whether the price required My Best Buy membership, a Best Buy card, coupon, bundle or limited quantity.
- Separate Black Friday, early-access, Cyber Monday and post-sale clearance dates.
The percentage-off label is the least useful number when the reference price is inflated or rarely charged.
Buying checks before ordering an older 2025 TV
- Room and size: measure viewing distance, wall width, stand depth, doorways and stairs before choosing 75 inches or more.
- Gaming: confirm native refresh rate, 4K/120Hz, HDMI 2.1 port count, VRR formats, ALLM and input lag for the exact SKU.
- Smart platform: LG uses webOS, Samsung uses Tizen, and Hisense may use Google TV, Roku TV or Fire TV depending on model. Check app availability and update expectations.
- Delivery and installation: “free installation” may exclude the wall bracket, wiring, stand assembly or old-TV removal. Verify current Best Buy terms.
- Open-box condition: inspect panel uniformity, screen hours, accessories, dead pixels, warranty and return eligibility.
- Protection plans: compare exclusions and replacement terms; OLED burn-in treatment varies and should never be assumed.
Should you buy a 2025 deal in 2026?
Buy one only when the remaining price clearly beats a current-generation equivalent and the return policy protects you. An archived $899 S84F or $999 B5 benchmark can expose an inflated clearance price, but it does not guarantee stock, warranty terms or condition today. For current inventory, start with Best Buy’s live TV category and then verify the exact model on the manufacturer’s page: Best Buy TVs, LG TVs, Samsung TVs and Hisense TVs.
The Bottom Line
The best verified 2025 Best Buy opportunities were LG’s B5 OLED for picture quality and gaming, Samsung’s S84F when its exclusive SKU and price checked out, and Hisense Mini-LED/QLED for bright rooms and large screens. Treat every quoted price as historical, verify the full model number and conditions, and judge the TV by room, use and current replacement prices—not the advertised discount percentage.
