Infinite Reality’s July 9, 2024 announcement covered two different transactions: a $350 million minority equity investment from an undisclosed private multi-family office and a proposed $450 million all-stock acquisition of Landvault. The figures should not be read as $800 million in cash raised. The $350 million was financing; the $450 million was the stated value of shares to be issued to Landvault’s sellers.
Infinite Reality said the investment valued the private company at $5.1 billion. Its proposed merger with Newbury Street Acquisition Corporation was separate and was later mutually terminated on December 19, 2024.

The company described the combined 2024 activity as approximately $800 million of total transaction value, including other acquisitions. That headline does not mean Infinite Reality raised $800 million in cash.
Who provided the $350 million?
Infinite Reality identified the backer only as a private multi-family office focused on global technology, media and real estate, according to its SEC-filed announcement. The investor was not named, and the public announcement does not establish that it was a venture-capital fund, sovereign wealth fund or strategic corporate investor.

How Infinite Reality said it would use the investment
Management said the capital would be deployed immediately to accelerate growth and support its global go-to-market strategy. The announcement did not publish a spending schedule, operating budget, revenue target or acquisition-by-acquisition allocation, so intended use should not be confused with verified deployment.
What Infinite Reality acquired in Landvault

In its SEC-filed description, iR said Landvault had worked with more than 200 clients and built more than 1.2 million square feet of virtual experiences. Those are company-provided metrics, not independently audited measures of revenue, active users or profitability.
Clients and projects cited by iR
The announcement referenced work involving Mastercard, Standard Chartered, Hershey, Heineken with Dentsu, the Abu Dhabi government, UAE and Saudi government-related initiatives, tourism authorities, real-estate companies, Decentraland, The Sandbox and a World of Women experience in The Sandbox. These references do not by themselves show that every organization remained a customer or that each project generated material revenue.

Why the acquisition fit Infinite Reality’s strategy
Infinite Reality’s stated rationale was to combine Landvault’s enterprise tools with its broader AI and spatial-computing platform. The strategic thesis had three parts:
- Technology: Add tools to build, host, measure and monetize immersive environments.
- Geography: Expand the company’s presence in the Middle East and Europe.
- Commercialization: Give brands more routes to advertising, commerce and first-party-data products.
Landvault founder Sam Huber was slated to become Infinite Reality’s Global President of Enterprise and CEO of its MENA region. The rationale is management’s strategy, not proof that the combined company achieved market leadership, profitability or customer-retention targets.

What “all-stock” means for the $450 million price
Landvault’s sellers were to receive newly issued Infinite Reality equity rather than a $450 million cash payment. A UK investor disclosure also characterized the deal as a $450 million all-share transaction.
Public materials reviewed for the announcement do not disclose the exact share count, exchange ratio, liquidation preferences, lockups, closing conditions or dilution percentage. Consequently, “$450 million” describes the announced transaction value, not a independently verified cash price for Landvault.

The $5.1 billion valuation needs context
Infinite Reality said the $350 million investment lifted its valuation to $5.1 billion. Because iR was private and the investor was undisclosed, there was no continuously quoted market price testing that figure. The announcement also does not explain whether the valuation was based on a priced equity round methodology, a negotiated internal valuation or another approach.
Other acquisitions and the $800 million headline
Infinite Reality cited additional 2024 transaction values of $250 million for The Drone Racing League, $75 million for Ethereal Engine, $10 million for Action Face and $8 million for Stakes. Together with the Landvault transaction and investment, the company described roughly $800 million in total transaction value. That aggregate mixes financing and acquisition consideration; it is not a measure of cash raised.
What happened after July 2024?
Landvault became iR Enterprise
In a January 8, 2025 announcement, Infinite Reality said it had raised a further $3 billion and referred to Landvault as “iR Enterprise.” The same announcement gave an indicative valuation of $12.25 billion. Both figures were company-announced private-market figures and should not be used to retroactively validate the earlier $5.1 billion valuation or the $450 million acquisition value.
The proposed SPAC listing did not close
The July announcement said the private investment was separate from Infinite Reality’s planned merger with Newbury Street Acquisition Corporation. Later Newbury proxy materials state that the merger agreement was mutually terminated on December 19, 2024. The private financing and Landvault transaction therefore should not be described as making Infinite Reality a public company.
What remains unknown to investors
- The identity of the $350 million investor and the ownership percentage received
- Whether the full investment was funded at announcement and the precise closing date
- Landvault’s revenue, earnings, growth rate, backlog and customer concentration
- The number and class of iR shares issued to Landvault sellers
- Any earn-outs, contingencies or post-closing adjustments
- The dilution experienced by existing iR shareholders
- Audited support for the announced private valuations
The Bottom Line
Infinite Reality secured a reported $350 million private equity investment and announced a separate $450 million all-share Landvault acquisition in July 2024. The deal added enterprise immersive-technology capabilities and Middle East exposure, but the investor, detailed financial terms, dilution and independent valuation evidence were not disclosed. Landvault was later presented as iR Enterprise, while the related Newbury SPAC merger was terminated on December 19, 2024.
