D&H Distributing’s Advanced Solutions+ Unit Targets Enterprise Partners in a “Pivotal Evolution”

D&H Distributing’s Advanced Solutions+ combines enterprise technology distribution with architecture, training, financing and managed-services enablement. Here is what changed and what partners should verify.

D&H Distributing launched Advanced Solutions+ on October 28, 2025, to help channel partners sell and deliver enterprise-grade technology. The initiative extends D&H’s longstanding SMB and midmarket distribution business into AI, cybersecurity, cloud, data-center modernization, servers, storage, networking, unified communications, workplace technology, professional services and managed services. D&H describes it as an evolution and new identity for a strategic business unit, supported by new staff, technical resources, digital platforms and Experience Centers—not simply a name change.

What Advanced Solutions+ is—and what changed

D&H’s historical strength has been serving resellers, retailers, SMBs and midmarket partners. Advanced Solutions+ gives that business an explicitly enterprise-oriented operating model for complex, multi-vendor solutions. The official announcement is available from D&H.

The distinction matters. A distributor can sell an enterprise product without being able to help a partner design, finance, configure, deploy and support an enterprise solution. D&H says Advanced Solutions+ is intended to add those capabilities through sales coverage, architecture expertise, enablement, services and vendor alignment.

D&H executives call the “+” a shorthand for extensibility, acceleration, enablement, additional services and expertise. That is D&H’s positioning, not an independently verified industry definition. Dan Schwab also described the move as potentially the point at which D&H became a “full enterprise-class distributor”; that remains an executive characterization rather than an established market verdict.

Why D&H is moving upmarket

D&H says many of its partners have grown from small-business specialists into providers serving larger and enterprise customers. In CRN’s account of Schwab’s comments, D&H cited partners that grew from approximately $30 million to $200 million in revenue while using D&H as a strategic differentiator. Those are leadership examples, not independently audited case studies.

The commercial logic is straightforward:

  • AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, hybrid cloud, networking and modern data centers require architecture rather than simple product fulfillment.
  • Complex projects create demand for configuration, testing, certifications, financing, professional services and post-sale support.
  • Partners can add recurring revenue through cloud, managed services and consumption-based offers.
  • A distributor that already understands a partner’s business may be able to support its move into larger accounts without forcing a complete supplier change.

D&H’s launch materials also cite an IDC FutureScape estimate of $337 billion in worldwide AI spending in 2025, with 67% driven by enterprises. That is contextual market data cited by D&H, not a D&H performance measure.

The investment behind the strategy

D&H says it is making a multi-million-dollar investment in enterprise sales coverage, technical expertise, digital platforms and Experience Centers at its Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, headquarters. The company has not disclosed the exact amount.

CRN reported that D&H had hired and trained 32 people for the enterprise push, with approximately half that number again expected to be added. The hiring figure indicates an operating-model expansion, although it does not by itself establish service quality or enterprise-market share.

What partners can use

D&H’s Advanced Solutions+ Partner Playbook describes delivery options across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, professional services, managed services and everything-as-a-service. The proposed support spans the sales cycle:

  • Pre-sales: solution design, architecture guidance and bill-of-materials assistance.
  • Build and validation: configuration, test environments, sandboxes and deployment troubleshooting.
  • Enablement: training, certifications, vendor-program guidance and deal registration.
  • Go-to-market: marketing support, co-selling and co-marketing resources.
  • Lifecycle: post-sale technical support, professional-services assistance, managed-services enablement and flexible financing or consumption models.

These capabilities can reduce the cost of building every skill internally. They do not transfer delivery accountability from the partner to D&H. A reseller still needs project management, compliance controls, customer references, qualified engineers, support processes and—where relevant—24/7 operations.

Technology coverage

The Advanced Solutions+ site lists the following solution areas:

Area Examples of partner use
Cloud computing Infrastructure, software and hybrid-cloud offers
Servers and storage Data-center modernization and infrastructure refreshes
Artificial intelligence and accelerated computing AI infrastructure planning and enablement
Security Cybersecurity products, services and managed protection
Networking Campus, data-center and hybrid connectivity
Workplace solutions End-user computing and collaboration
Professional services Design, implementation and project assistance
Managed services Recurring monitoring, support and administration

The launch announcement additionally highlights next-generation unified communications, configuration, training, certifications and enterprise sales support. The site displays relationships involving Cisco, Lenovo, Microsoft and Azure, SonicWall, Sophos, ESET, Extreme Networks, Acronis, ConnectWise, Proofpoint, RingCentral, Eaton, Check Point, Carbonite, BitTitan, Dropsuite and Webroot. Evidence of traction since launch

Most available results are company-reported. They suggest activity, but they do not independently prove profitability, retention, implementation quality or market-share gains.

Measure Reported result and qualification
D&H fiscal-year performance CRN reported 27% year-over-year growth and $7 billion in revenue, based on Schwab’s comments.
Midmarket and enterprise mix CRN reported that these segments represented 36% of revenue, approximately $2.52 billion.
Cloud IaaS 70% growth during 2025, according to D&H’s March 2026 update.
Cloud SaaS 35% growth during 2025, according to D&H.
Security solutions 63% growth during 2025, according to D&H.
AI enablement D&H said more than 5,350 partners were trained through Go Big AI and Device Refresh initiatives in 2025; CRN previously reported 5,380, a minor company-reporting discrepancy.
MSP expansion D&H said it added 3,200 MSP customers in 2025.

D&H also announced that Dell Technologies added it to the distributors selling Dell’s server portfolio, according to CRN. In the United States, D&H announced a Fortinet relationship on January 12, 2026. The Fortinet announcement describes FWD training and certification paths, hands-on workshops, solution-architect access and go-to-market resources. D&H said the complete Fortinet lineup would be available through its U.S. channel, but partners should confirm product and program eligibility.

D&H’s March 2026 update also announced the inaugural NEXT+ Advanced Solutions+ conference for June 3–5, 2026, in Austin, Texas, focused on hybrid IT, cybersecurity, accelerated computing, deal strategy, services integration and go-to-market alignment.

Who is the program for?

VARs moving into enterprise accounts

These partners may gain architecture help, broader vendor access, financing and enterprise sales support while retaining the customer relationship.

MSPs becoming MSSPs

Distribution can assist with security products, training and packaging, but an MSP still needs compliance expertise, incident response, security operations and appropriate coverage.

Cloud providers and CSPs

The relevant questions are marketplace access, subscription provisioning, billing, consumption models and recurring-service support—not just warehouse fulfillment.

Enterprise solution providers

Advanced Solutions+ may simplify multi-vendor sourcing and vendor-program coordination, while large bids may still require direct vendor involvement, specialized financing or formal procurement.

Existing SMB-focused D&H partners

The program is most useful when the partner has a credible plan to add enterprise technologies and delivery capacity. A reseller seeking only commodity hardware may see little incremental value.

What Advanced Solutions+ does not mean

Advanced Solutions+ is primarily a channel-enablement and distribution strategy, not a new direct-to-enterprise consulting brand. D&H supplies technology, expertise and enablement; a reseller, MSP, MSSP or solution provider generally designs the final offer, implements it and owns the ongoing end-customer relationship.

Enterprise distribution also does not automatically equal enterprise implementation capability. Broad vendor coverage can introduce overlap and channel-conflict questions, and a small partner may not receive the same attention as a strategic account. D&H has not publicly detailed standard pricing, rebates, service-level agreements, investment return, customer-retention rates or enterprise win rates.

Questions to answer before joining

  1. Which vendors and certifications support the exact verticals and solution stacks you sell?
  2. Will D&H provide named architecture and deployment resources, or mainly product access?
  3. How do deal registration, rebates, incentives and conflict rules work for your account?
  4. Can the cloud marketplace quote, provision, bill and reconcile the subscriptions you need?
  5. What financing, leasing, credit and consumption options are available in your geography?
  6. Who owns an escalation involving D&H, the vendor, your company and the end customer?
  7. Which professional and managed services can be packaged repeatedly, and what remains your responsibility?
  8. Do the relevant offers apply in the United States, Canada or both?
  9. Will the expected services, incentives and attach rates offset the cost of adopting another distributor?

Bottom line for channel businesses

Advanced Solutions+ is a credible strategic push backed by additional hiring, technical resources, expanding vendor relationships and reported growth in cloud and security categories. It is more substantial than a cosmetic rebrand, but the ultimate test is whether partners can turn that enablement into repeatable enterprise wins, profitable services and reliable customer outcomes. Before treating D&H as an enterprise-distribution alternative, verify the vendor coverage, economics, service ownership and geographic eligibility for your specific business.
