No. The UK Galaxy S26 pre-order window closed on 10 March 2026, and general sales began on 11 March. The launch offer—principally 512GB storage for the 256GB price—has expired. If you are buying now, compare live SIM-free prices, trade-in quotes and network contract totals instead of expecting the February launch benefit.

What happened to the Galaxy S26 pre-order offer?
Samsung opened UK pre-orders on 25 February 2026. The main launch promotion ran through 10 March, ahead of general availability on 11 March. A checkout page may still let you buy an S26, but that does not reinstate the time-limited pre-order terms.
The headline incentive was a storage upgrade, not a free handset or universal accessory bundle. Samsung offered selected S26 and S26+ configurations with 512GB for the price of 256GB, describing the value as up to £170. For the S26 Ultra, Samsung separately advertised £170 off the 1TB model; the eligible configuration depended on the product page and promotion terms.

Trade-in timing
Samsung applies the quoted credit as an instant checkout discount. After the new phone arrives, you normally have seven days to transfer your data and return the old device in the supplied prepaid packaging. Photograph the handset, keep proof of postage and do not erase it until migration is complete.
New Galaxy Club
New Galaxy Club is a finance and upgrade product, not a pre-order gift. Samsung described a guaranteed return of 50% of the device price when upgrading in months 12–15, Samsung Care+ accidental-damage protection and 24-month payments at 0% interest through Klarna. EE
EE offered 512GB for the 256GB price during the pre-order period and advertised introductory savings of up to £720, with potential trade-in savings of up to £696. Inclusive Extras and other benefits depended on the tariff. O2 advertised double storage, Priority ticket and event access, and EU roaming up to a stated 25GB allowance subject to plan terms. That combination may suit someone who uses Priority or roaming, but the handset payment, airtime and fair-use conditions still determine value. See O2’s announcement and current O2 offers.
Three
Three promoted 512GB for the 256GB price, Three Your Way plans, inclusive roaming, Paramount+ and Three+ rewards on qualifying arrangements. It gave an example of up to £914 for an S26 Ultra when trading in a Galaxy S25 Ultra 512GB. That is a device-specific example, not a general discount. Vodafone
Vodafone’s terms defined a pre-order period beginning 25 February and ending around 10–11 March, depending on the version of the terms. Eligible handsets received storage-upgrade treatment. The phone became available to buy from 11 March. Because Vodafone published more than one PDF with slightly different end-date wording, rely on the exact terms attached to a current offer: Vodafone’s product page, one published terms version and the alternative version.
Retailers and SIM-free alternatives
Carphone Warehouse can be useful for comparing several networks in one checkout. Its S26 listing showed selected entertainment trials, including up to two months of Apple Music, Apple Fitness+ and Apple Arcade on eligible products. Activation deadlines and auto-renewal rules matter; it was a retailer benefit, not a universal Samsung pre-order perk. See the specific listing.

Currys and other retailers may vary by colour, storage, gift card, cashback, trade-in handling and seller. Confirm whether the phone is sold directly by the retailer or a marketplace seller, whether storage is included at the stated price, and the applicable returns and cancellation terms.

Calculate the real deal, not the headline saving
Use this comparison for every quote:
Upfront payment + all device payments + all airtime payments + mandatory fees − guaranteed credits or cashback − realistic trade-in value.
Do not subtract a “save up to” trade-in figure unless you own the exact qualifying model in the required condition. A network’s £720 or £914 headline may combine handset discount, airtime savings, trade-in credit and assumptions about a particular old phone.
When 512GB is worth paying for
The expired upgrade was most useful to 4K/8K video users, gamers, people with large offline libraries and anyone keeping the phone for several years. It is less compelling if you rely on cloud storage, take few photos or would prefer a guaranteed cash discount. Compare today’s actual 256GB-to-512GB price difference; the launch-period £170 valuation does not set the current value.

Trade-in risks
- Condition or model mismatches can reduce the final valuation.
- Returning the phone late can invalidate the quoted credit under the provider’s terms.
- You give up the option of selling privately after accepting the trade-in.
- You need a migration plan or temporary handset while the old device is being returned.
Order checklist for a current buyer
- Open the relevant live product page and confirm model, storage, colour, stock and delivery date.
- Get a trade-in estimate from Samsung and at least one network; record the quoted condition and model.
- Calculate the complete SIM-free, finance and contract totals using the formula above.
