Jio’s 9th-anniversary ₹349 promotion was genuine, but it was not a free recharge or a permanent new plan. The celebration offer ran from September 5 through October 5, 2025. As of August 18, 2026, that anniversary-month promotion has ended. Customers who qualified at the time paid ₹349 or more and could receive promotional benefits such as unlimited 5G data, one month of JioHotstar, three months of Zomato Gold and partner vouchers.
The official historical details remain available on Jio’s anniversary page and its terms and conditions. Do not assume that a current ₹349 recharge includes those benefits.
What the ₹349 anniversary offer included
Jio marketed the promotion around its ninth anniversary and 500-million-user milestone. A qualifying prepaid recharge of ₹349 or more, or a qualifying postpaid rental, unlocked the anniversary package during the promotion window. The exact underlying mobile plan could differ; ₹349 was the eligibility threshold rather than proof of one identical plan for every customer.
| Benefit | Advertised duration or value | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Unlimited 5G data | For eligible users during the applicable plan or offer validity | Required a compatible 5G phone, Jio True 5G coverage and an eligible plan |
| JioHotstar | One month | Promotional subscription, not lifetime access |
| Zomato Gold | Three months | Voucher and Zomato account, location, restaurant and membership terms applied |
| Partner vouchers | Up to ₹3,000 in stated value | Not cash; individual vouchers could have expiry dates, minimum spends or category limits |
| JioHome trial | Two months | Subject to home-service availability and offer conditions |
| Digital gold | 2% extra | Applied through JioFinance under its conditions |
| JioSaavn Pro | One month, according to the anniversary page | Offer-specific redemption rules applied |
The headline “up to ₹3,000” described the combined value of partner vouchers. It did not mean that every customer received ₹3,000 in unrestricted savings.

Who qualified
Prepaid customers
New and existing Jio users could qualify by completing an eligible recharge of at least ₹349 during September 5–October 5, 2025. The mobile offer generally targeted plans providing at least 2GB of daily data. Customers already on eligible long-term plans could also qualify under the terms.
Postpaid customers
Jio’s terms included customers with a monthly postpaid rental of ₹349 or more. Those historical conditions should not be assumed to apply to today’s postpaid plans.
Customers below the threshold
The terms said some users on lower-priced plans could add a ₹100 pack to access certain anniversary benefits. The specific entitlement depended on the customer’s plan and the published conditions.

What “free data” really meant
“Free data” primarily referred to unlimited 5G data for eligible customers; it did not make the recharge free and did not give every Jio user unlimited data. Jio’s support guidance ties unlimited 5G to a plan of ₹349 or more that offers 2GB per day, a compatible device and Jio True 5G coverage. See Jio’s unlimited-5G eligibility guidance.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- You needed a 5G-compatible handset.
- Your location needed Jio True 5G coverage.
- Your recharge or plan had to meet the qualifying data and price conditions.
- The entitlement could be limited to the active plan’s validity; some customers could receive no more than 28 days of unlimited 5G under the terms.
The anniversary terms also described a separate 4G promotion: a 4G user who purchased a ₹39 data add-on could receive unlimited 4G data subject to a 3GB-per-day fair-use limit. That was not the same benefit as unlimited 5G.

- Open the MyJio app and select Coupons.
- Look for the anniversary vouchers or service entitlements credited to the account.
- Open each voucher and follow its individual redemption instructions.
Jio said vouchers had to be redeemed within five days of being credited. That deadline was separate from the validity of the mobile recharge. A voucher could therefore expire while the underlying plan was still active.
Queued recharges and multiple recharges
Jio’s FAQ said a successful eligible recharge made during the offer period could qualify even when it entered a queue behind an active plan. It also said customers could receive the respective benefits for each eligible recharge during the window. Partner services could still impose account-level or redemption limits, so indefinite stacking was not guaranteed.

JioHotstar
The anniversary package included one month of JioHotstar. It was a limited promotional subscription, not access for the full recharge validity and not a lifetime membership.

Zomato Gold
The official terms listed three months of Zomato Gold. This was a promotional voucher or membership benefit rather than cash. Redemption depended on the relevant Zomato account and its location, restaurant, delivery and membership conditions.
The separate “13th month free” programme
Jio also described a broader celebration-year reward. Customers who completed 12 consecutive monthly, on-time recharges of ₹349 or more on qualifying plans with at least 2GB of daily data could qualify for a free 13th month. This was not an automatic reward for one ₹349 recharge and was separate from the September–October anniversary offer.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Jio anniversary ₹349 offer still available?
No—not as the 2025 anniversary-month promotion. Jio’s official FAQ identifies the offer window as September 5–October 5, 2025, and describes it in the past tense. An old webpage, screenshot or social-media video does not establish that the promotion has been renewed.

For current pricing and benefits, consult Jio’s current prepaid plan list. A currently listed ₹349-or-above plan should not be treated as carrying the historical JioHotstar, Zomato Gold or voucher bundle unless a new official offer says so.
How to judge the offer’s value
The historical package was most useful to someone who already needed a 2GB-per-day plan, had a 5G phone and lived in Jio 5G coverage. Its practical value was lower for a 4G-only customer, a low-data user, someone outside 5G coverage or anyone unlikely to redeem vouchers within five days.
The recharge paid for the underlying connectivity. Streaming, food-delivery, home-service and partner benefits were extras whose value depended on actual use, redemption deadlines and third-party restrictions.
