The best choice depends on whether you want a conventional laptop, a 360-degree hinge, or a detachable tablet—not on the biggest advertised markdown. Prices below were observed in retailer or buying-guide listings and can change; retailer “was” prices are not independently verified street-price histories.
This guide includes both touchscreen clamshells and 2-in-1s, and labels reference prices separately from currently observed prices. It excludes refurbished products and does not treat unverified older sale prices as live offers. For a personal-finance-minded purchase, check the exact configuration and final cart total before comparing discounts.

15 touchscreen laptop deals and candidates, ranked by practical value

1. HP OmniBook X Flip 16-inch, Intel Core Ultra 7 — best overall observed deal
Observed price: $899 at Best Buy; the retailer listing showed $1,199.99 as the former price, a $300.99 difference. Configuration: 16-inch 2K touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra 7 256V, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Copilot+ PC. It is a strong all-round pick on listed specifications because it combines a convertible hinge, ample storage, and 16GB of memory below $900.
The 16-inch size favors desk work, split-screen documents, and media over handheld tablet use. The listed information does not establish weight, measured battery life, brightness, pen inclusion, or exact SKU, so confirm those before purchase. The advertised former price is Best Buy’s comparison, not an independently verified recent street price. See Best Buy’s touchscreen-deals listing.
2. HP OmniBook 3 16-inch, AMD Ryzen 5 — best listed price under $700
Observed price: $649.99 at Best Buy, compared with the retailer’s former price of $879.99. Configuration: 16-inch 2K touchscreen, AMD Ryzen 5 40, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD. This is the lowest-priced listed option here with 16GB RAM and a 2K display, but the storage is the clear compromise.
A 256GB drive can fill quickly with applications, photos, and games; check whether the SSD can be replaced before assuming an inexpensive upgrade is possible. The source listing does not specify hinge type, exact processor generation, panel brightness, or whether a pen is included. Buy it for everyday browsing, schoolwork, and office tasks if the small drive suits your files; choose a 512GB model if you expect to keep games or a large photo library locally. Check the Best Buy listing.

3. Lenovo Yoga 7i 16-inch, Core Ultra 5 — best large-screen convertible if the lower price remains live
Reported deal: $799.99, down from $999.99, in Windows Central coverage. Configuration reported in the deal pool: 16-inch 2K touchscreen, Core Ultra 5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. A separate Best Buy listing showed a similar Yoga 7i 16-inch configuration at $999.99, so verify that the $799.99 offer matches the model and is still available rather than assuming the lower figure is current.
The format suits buyers who want a large work surface that can fold into presentation or tent mode. Windows Central notes that its tablet-mode experience has limitations; a 16-inch convertible is not as natural to hold as a small tablet. The deal coverage is here: Windows Central’s Yoga 7i deal report. The Best Buy listing is here.
4. Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15.3-inch, Ryzen 7 170 — best newer-spec value candidate
Observed price: $669 at Best Buy; retailer former price $999.99. Configuration: 15.3-inch 2K touchscreen, AMD Ryzen 7 170, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. Its listed processor and display resolution make it more compelling than an older, similar-priced configuration if the panel and chassis meet your needs.
“2K” alone does not tell you brightness, color coverage, glare, or outdoor visibility. The listing information available also does not establish hinge type, pen support, RAM upgradeability, or exact panel specifications. Treat the former-price difference as the retailer’s comparison, not proof of a typical selling price. View the Best Buy deal listing.

5. HP OmniBook X Flip 16-inch, Intel Core Ultra 5 OLED — best OLED convertible candidate
Observed price: $949 at Best Buy; retailer former price $1,349.99. Configuration: 16-inch 2K OLED touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra 5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Copilot+ PC. OLED’s high contrast and deep blacks can make photos and video look more vivid than on many LCD panels.
At the listed prices, it costs $50 more than the Core Ultra 7 OmniBook X Flip configuration while offering half the SSD capacity; choose it only if OLED is more important to you than processor tier and storage. The listing does not state OLED brightness, refresh rate, glare treatment, pen inclusion, or measured battery life. Glossy reflections and individual sensitivity to display flicker are also worth considering with OLED screens. See the Best Buy listing.
6. HP OmniBook 3 16-inch, Intel Core Ultra 7 — best low-cost listing with a larger SSD
Observed price: $679.99 at Best Buy; retailer former price $1,299.99. Configuration: 16-inch 2K touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra 7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. The memory and storage are more comfortable for general Windows use than the 256GB HP model above, and the listed price is still below $700.
The source does not identify the exact Core Ultra 7 model, processor generation, hinge type, or panel brightness. That makes it essential to check the exact model number before comparing it with newer machines: a processor-family name does not establish generation or performance. Check Best Buy’s current listing.
7. Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15.6-inch, Ryzen 7 5825U — best basic productivity bargain
Observed price: $654.99 at Best Buy; retailer former price $749.99. Configuration: 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen, AMD Ryzen 7 5825U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. This straightforward configuration has a sensible memory and storage baseline for browsing, coursework, video calls, and office apps.
The Ryzen 7 5825U is an older processor, so this is a value-oriented choice rather than a cutting-edge machine. The source listing does not state hinge type, panel brightness, pen support, or upgrade options. Buy it if the price and everyday workload matter more than having a recent processor generation. See the Best Buy listing.
8. Lenovo Yoga 7i 16-inch, Core Ultra 5 — the $999.99 listed configuration
Observed price: $999.99 at Best Buy. Configuration: 16-inch 2K touchscreen, Core Ultra 5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Copilot+ PC. This is the listed alternative if the reported $799.99 offer is unavailable and you specifically want a large convertible screen.
At $999.99 it is less persuasive than the same-family offer reported at $799.99, if that lower offer matches the SKU and remains in stock. The available details do not identify the precise processor generation or supply independent battery measurements. A retailer’s Copilot+ label describes the platform category; it is not a promise of better everyday performance. Check the Best Buy listing.

9. Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 — sensible-size convertible, but compare the configuration
Current catalog starting price: $809.99 at Dell, not a confirmed sale price. Dell describes the 14-inch convertible with Intel Core processor options, Windows 11 Home, Iris Xe graphics, DDR5 memory, and Dolby Atmos audio. Dell says customization changes the price, so the starting figure should not be treated as the cost of every configuration.
This is a practical size for commuting and using as a laptop, but the catalog entry does not establish the exact processor, RAM, SSD, or panel in the base configuration. A separate Dell deal snapshot showed a configuration at $689.99 versus a $1,059.99 market-price reference, but that page was crawled about two months before the August 2026 snapshot and is not a verified current offer. Start with Dell’s touchscreen catalog; treat the Dell deals page as something to recheck, not a live price guarantee.
10. Lenovo IdeaPad 5x Copilot+ PC 2-in-1 — lower-cost Snapdragon reference candidate
Reference price: $690 in Consumer Reports’ 2026 buying guide, not a verified August sale. Configuration listed: 14-inch, Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage. Those memory and storage capacities make it a promising paper candidate for buyers interested in an ARM-based convertible.
Because the price is a guide reference rather than a current retailer offer, compare its live total with the Intel and AMD convertibles above before calling it a deal. Check application, peripheral, VPN, security software, and printer/scanner compatibility if your work depends on specialized Windows programs or drivers. Consumer Reports’ 2026 buying guide provides the cited configuration and reference price.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →11. Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 — attractive only if the older sale reappears
Current catalog starting price: $1,219.99 at Dell. The touchscreen catalog lists a 14-inch 16:10 panel, AMD Ryzen AI processors, Copilot+ branding, and a manufacturer battery estimate of up to 19 hours of local video playback. That battery figure is Dell’s stated estimate, not an independent test or a promise of typical mixed-use runtime.
A separate older Dell deals snapshot showed a configuration at $849.99 compared with a $1,219.99 market-price reference; that price is not verified for August 2026. At $849.99 it could be a strong contender if the exact configuration is still available, but at the catalog starting price it needs comparison with current alternatives. Check the live configuration on Dell’s touchscreen catalog and look for any current offer on the Dell deals page.
12. Lenovo Yoga 7i 16-inch OLED, Core Ultra 7 355 — premium display, modest price cut
Observed price: $1,499 at Best Buy; retailer former price $1,649.99. Configuration: 16-inch 2K OLED touchscreen, Core Ultra 7 355, 24GB RAM, 512GB SSD. Its extra memory and OLED panel distinguish it from the lower-priced Yoga configuration.
The $150 retailer comparison is a relatively modest reduction at this price, so it is a specialized pick for buyers who value the OLED display and 24GB memory—not the default value recommendation. The listing does not state panel brightness, measured battery performance, or whether a pen is included. View the Best Buy listing.

13. ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED — premium compact option, not a proven markdown
Observed price: $1,199.99 at Best Buy. Configuration: 14-inch 2K OLED touchscreen, AMD Ryzen AI 9 465, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, Copilot+ PC. Its smaller screen makes it a more portable OLED candidate than the 16-inch convertibles listed above.
No former price or verified price-history comparison was stated, so this is a product to compare—not a confirmed discount. The listing also does not establish the hinge type, panel brightness, pen inclusion, or upgradeability. Consider it if a compact OLED screen is worth the premium to you, and compare its live price with other 14-inch options before buying. Check the Best Buy touchscreen listing.
14. HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-inch — reference candidate, not a live deal
Reference price: $1,100 in Consumer Reports’ 2026 buying guide; no live markdown was verified. Configuration listed: 14-inch, Intel Core Ultra 5, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage. The 14-inch format is more portable than the large-screen convertibles in this guide.
Use the guide figure as a comparison point, not an offer. The cited information does not establish the current price, exact display panel, pen inclusion, or retailer stock. It belongs on a shortlist only if a current retailer price gives it a clear advantage over live alternatives. See the Consumer Reports 2026 buying guide.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute15. Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 at its current starting price — skip unless you need its specific configuration
Current catalog starting price: $1,219.99 at Dell. A separate older deal snapshot showed $849.99 for a Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 configuration, but that offer is not verified as live. Paying the catalog starting price solely because an older page advertised a steep discount would be a mistake.
This is not a poor laptop by default; it is the deal to skip when the live configuration costs far more than the older advertised offer and no current promotion applies. Compare the exact CPU, memory, storage, panel, and total cost against the $899 HP OmniBook X Flip and other current listings. Dell’s touchscreen catalog is the current starting point; the older deals page snapshot is not proof of today’s price.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose a touchscreen laptop without overpaying
Choose the form factor before comparing processors
- Clamshell touchscreen: A conventional laptop with touch input. It usually prioritizes laptop use and typing; the screen does not fold behind the keyboard.
- 360-degree convertible: The keyboard stays attached while the hinge folds the screen into tent, presentation, or tablet positions. It is versatile, but a large convertible can be unwieldy as a handheld tablet.
- Detachable: A tablet-style computer with a removable keyboard accessory. Microsoft distinguishes its Surface Laptop clamshells from Surface Pro devices, which use a kickstand and detachable keyboard; keyboard and pen costs should be checked separately. See Microsoft’s Surface deals page.
Touch is useful for direct scrolling, annotating, drawing, and presentations, but it is not an automatic productivity upgrade. If you will never touch the display or use a pen, compare non-touch models at the same budget: they may offer more value or battery life.
Set a practical memory and storage floor
- RAM: Prefer 16GB for a Windows laptop intended to last several years. An 8GB configuration is a compromise unless it is exceptionally inexpensive and your workload is light.
- Storage: 512GB is a useful baseline for most buyers. A 256GB drive can become cramped after Windows, applications, photos, and games take their share.
- Upgradeability: Do not assume RAM or storage can be upgraded. Confirm serviceability for the exact SKU before pricing the laptop as an upgrade-friendly bargain.
Pay for the panel you will actually use
OLED offers strong contrast and rich color, which can be worthwhile for video, photography, and a more vivid image. It often costs more and may be glossy; glare and individual PWM sensitivity are considerations. IPS is generally a sensible office-work choice and can cost less, though contrast is typically lower. A resolution label such as “2K” does not establish brightness, color coverage, refresh rate, or outdoor readability. Check the panel specifications for the exact configuration.
Recommended Free Tools
Compare Intel, AMD, and Snapdragon for your software
Processor branding alone is not a reliable ranking. Compare the exact chip generation and the laptop’s configuration. Snapdragon ARM laptops can be attractive candidates for efficient, quiet use, but check compatibility first if you rely on specialized applications, older games or anti-cheat systems, business VPNs, security tools, virtual machines, developer environments, or niche peripherals. A Copilot+ PC label identifies a platform category; it does not guarantee better conventional performance, battery life, or compatibility.
Read the offer as a household expense, not a percentage
A large markdown from a retailer’s former price does not prove that price was the laptop’s normal recent selling price. Compare the final out-the-door price with similarly equipped models, and count accessories you actually need. A detachable may require a separate keyboard; pen support does not mean a pen is included. Do not let monthly-payment language obscure the total price, interest, or eligibility conditions.
Quick Recap
Before you place the order: deal-verification checklist
- Match the exact SKU. Similar family names can hide different processors, panels, memory, storage, and battery configurations.
- Check the final cart total. Confirm price after any coupon, tax treatment, shipping, or membership condition; this guide’s listed prices are before tax.
- Confirm seller and stock. Verify that the item is available for your location and whether it is sold directly by the retailer or a marketplace seller.
- Check included accessories. Confirm whether the charger, pen, detachable keyboard, and any software subscription are included rather than optional extras.
- Read warranty and return terms. Confirm the return deadline, warranty provider, and whether the purchase falls under a special seasonal return window.
- Evaluate the reference price carefully. Treat “was” or “market” prices as the retailer’s comparison unless independent price history confirms a typical selling price.
- Recheck the offer at checkout. Stock and promotions can vary by configuration, color, and region; an old deal page may remain accessible after the sale ends.
