Amazon Prime Day 2024 cut the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S24 family to $600 for the Galaxy S24, $750 for the Galaxy S24+, and $975 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Ultra’s $325 reduction was the biggest dollar saving, but these were July 16–17, 2024 prices—not offers you should assume are available now.
This guide explains the historical value of each phone, the hardware differences, and what to verify before buying an older S24-series device in 2026.
The three Prime Day prices
| Model | Prime Day 2024 price | U.S. launch MSRP | Approximate saving | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S24 | $600 | $799.99 | $199.99 (about $200) | Compact flagship at the lowest price |
| Galaxy S24+ | $750 | $999.99 | $249.99 (about $250) | Larger screen and battery without Ultra pricing |
| Galaxy S24 Ultra | $975 | $1,299.99 | $324.99 (about $325) | Maximum camera, display and stylus capability |
Engadget’s deal report, updated July 16, 2024, described the S24 and S24+ prices as all-time lows at that time and highlighted the Ultra’s $325 discount. “All-time low” and “record low” are historical price-tracking descriptions, not permanent guarantees. The launch MSRPs were announced by Samsung in January 2024, with U.S. availability beginning January 31, 2024.
The arithmetic is straightforward: $799.99 minus $600 equals $199.99; $999.99 minus $750 equals $249.99; and $1,299.99 minus $975 equals $324.99. MSRP comparisons do not prove that these were the lowest prices before Prime Day, and Amazon pricing can vary by storage, color, seller, condition and carrier status.

Which Galaxy S24 was the best deal?
Best for the lowest outlay: Galaxy S24
At $600, the regular S24 was the entry point to Samsung’s 2024 flagship range. Its smaller body is easier to use one-handed than the Plus or Ultra, while it shares the family’s core software platform and Galaxy AI launch features. The compromises are a smaller display and battery and a less elaborate camera system. It is the sensible choice when price and portability matter more than zoom, stylus support or maximum screen size.
Best middle ground: Galaxy S24+
The $750 S24+ added a larger display and battery without reaching the Ultra’s $975 price. It suited buyers who wanted a big-screen flagship but did not need an S Pen or the Ultra’s dedicated telephoto hardware. Storage, memory, display resolution, battery capacity and charging differ from the regular S24, so compare the exact configuration rather than treating the Plus as simply a larger S24.

Best premium discount: Galaxy S24 Ultra
The Ultra delivered the largest saving in dollars, but it still cost $375 more than the historical S24 deal. Its differentiators included a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a titanium frame, a built-in S Pen, a 5x optical telephoto camera and the U.S. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Those features make it the strongest fit for photography, writing, drawing and long-term heavy use—not automatically the best value for every budget.
What Galaxy AI included
Samsung launched the S24 line with tools such as Live Translate for calls, Interpreter for face-to-face conversations, Note Assist, Writing Assist, transcription, proofreading and generative image editing. Samsung also stated a commitment to seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

- Galaxy S23 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat display with adaptive 48–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness high enough for strong outdoor visibility — giving you vibrant, crisp visuals and smooth motion while staying compact.
Availability and behavior can vary by language, region, carrier, account, software version and settings. Some tools require an internet connection or a Samsung or Google account, and later updates may add, change or limit features. The seven-year promise does not guarantee that every AI function, battery or repair component will remain unchanged or available for the entire period.
Storage and listing details
Samsung’s U.S. launch lineup included:
- Galaxy S24: 128GB and 256GB
- Galaxy S24+: 256GB and 512GB
- Galaxy S24 Ultra: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB

Checks before ordering an S24 today
- Confirm the condition: Make sure the offer is new rather than renewed, refurbished or used.
- Confirm it is unlocked: Check that the exact listing is not tied to a carrier or activation plan.
- Inspect the seller: Review whether Amazon, Samsung or a marketplace seller is fulfilling the order.
- Match the model and storage: Check the model number, U.S. cellular compatibility and capacity.
- Read warranty and returns: Marketplace coverage may differ from Samsung’s terms.
- Check the final cart total: Apply any coupon checkbox and confirm the price after discounts.
- Verify availability: Review delivery date, color and in-stock status; Prime Day offers could sell out or change without notice.
- Compare newer phones: A newer Galaxy S model may provide newer hardware and a longer remaining support horizon for a similar current price.
Are these deals still available?
No current August 2026 Amazon price is established here. Samsung’s June 2025 U.S. MSRP file continued to list some S24 and S24+ configurations but marked some S24 Ultra entries end-of-life, a signal that inventory is now configuration- and seller-dependent. Do not reuse $600, $750 or $975 as live prices without checking the offer page.

Where each model fits now
- Galaxy S24: Choose it for compact size and the lowest historical price; avoid it if you need the largest battery or longest remaining ownership horizon.
- Galaxy S24+: Choose it for a larger screen and battery at a moderate price; avoid it if you want the Ultra’s stylus or camera system.
- Galaxy S24 Ultra: Choose it for the S Pen, QHD+ display and versatile cameras; avoid it if a large phone or $975-plus pricing is unsuitable.
