Yes—the deal was reported on June 18, 2025, when Amazon offered the U.S. unlocked Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with 512GB of storage for $1,119.99, down from a $1,419.99 reference price. That was a $300 discount, or about 21.1% off. The report said Prime membership was not required, and identified the color as Titanium Silverblue. This is a historical promotion, not a verified live August 2026 price. Phandroid’s June 18, 2025 report documented the offer; Samsung’s U.S. product page shows the same price relationship but was retrieved as out of stock, so it does not establish current availability.
What the reported deal included
| Detail | Reported offer |
|---|---|
| Retailer | Amazon, sold directly by Amazon according to the contemporaneous Phandroid report |
| Date | June 18, 2025, ahead of Prime Day 2025 |
| Phone | Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, U.S. unlocked configuration |
| Storage and color | 512GB, Titanium Silverblue |
| Condition | Presented as a new device; check any current listing’s condition before buying |
| Deal price | $1,119.99 |
| Reference price | $1,419.99 |
| Discount | $300, approximately 21.1% of the reference price |
| Prime requirement | Phandroid said a Prime membership was not required for the listed price |
The subtraction is straightforward: $1,419.99 minus $1,119.99 equals $300. The comparison is against Samsung’s listed reference price, not proof that every retailer charged $1,419.99 immediately before the promotion. Samsung’s U.S. page confirms the $1,419.99-to-$1,119.99 price structure for an unlocked 512GB configuration, but the retrieved page showed it out of stock. Samsung’s product page is useful for the configuration and listed price, not for claiming that the 2025 Amazon offer remains available.
Phandroid described the price as the lowest it had seen for the 512GB model since launch. That is the publication’s observation, not a comprehensive price-history finding, so it should not be restated as “the lowest price ever.”
Why it was called an early Prime Day deal
The offer appeared before the main 2025 Prime Day event, which Phandroid said ran July 8 through July 11. “Early Prime Day” describes the timing; it does not mean the reported price was Prime-exclusive. An early discount could disappear before the event, while waiting could bring a comparable or better offer, perhaps with a bundle or trade-in. Neither outcome was guaranteed.

- Durable, premium build: Titanium‑frame body, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, with IP68 dust/water resistance, ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, modern connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, UWB, USB‑C), and long‑term software support (Android 15 / One UI 7, promised 7 major OS/security updates).
That choice is a familiar personal-finance trade-off: take a known discount if the phone and price already meet your needs, or accept the risk of losing that price in exchange for the chance of a better one. A later carrier deal also may not be directly comparable if it depends on a trade-in, new line, qualifying plan, or bill credits that require staying with the carrier.
What the S25 Ultra offers at this price
The S25 Ultra is a flagship phone with an integrated S Pen and Galaxy AI features. Samsung’s specification sheet identifies the platform as Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy; use that official naming rather than the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 4” wording in the original deal coverage. The sheet lists 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage tiers, a 200MP main camera, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus and optical image stabilization. Resolution and stabilization describe hardware, not guaranteed photo results. Samsung’s S25 series specification sheet provides those specifications.

Budget for a charger if you do not already own a compatible one: Samsung says a charger is not included. The box contains the phone, data cable, and ejection pin. Samsung Care+ is optional rather than part of the advertised handset price; insurance adds a separate cost and should be considered against your existing coverage and how long you expect to keep the phone.
Is 512GB worth paying for?
512GB makes sense if you keep a lot on the phone
- You record substantial 4K or 8K video or keep large photo files locally.
- You travel with downloaded media, maps, and other offline files.
- You install large games and apps, or expect to keep the phone for several years.
- You prefer local storage over depending on cloud backups.
256GB may be the better value for lighter use
- You mostly stream media and routinely back up photos elsewhere.
- Your current storage use is modest and you do not keep large files on-device.
- You would rather put the price difference toward a charger, case, coverage, or savings.
The relevant comparison is the price gap between the 256GB and 512GB models when you shop, not the $300 discount against the 512GB model’s reference price. The deal makes the larger capacity cheaper than its listed reference price; it does not establish that 512GB is worth the difference for every buyer. Samsung’s U.S. pages list multiple color-specific unlocked 512GB versions, so confirm the precise variant instead of assuming all colors share a live price.

What to check before paying
Amazon listings can change by seller, color, condition, and fulfillment. Before placing an order, confirm the item and total cost on the checkout page:
- Configuration: Galaxy S25 Ultra, 512GB, unlocked, and the intended color. Check the U.S. model number when shown.
- Condition: New, not renewed or refurbished, if that is what you intend to buy.
- Seller and fulfillment: Identify who sells the phone and who ships it. The historical report said Amazon sold the deal directly; that does not establish the seller on a later listing.
- Carrier compatibility: Confirm the unlocked U.S. model works with your carrier and any network features you rely on.
- Returns and warranty: Read the specific seller’s return terms and verify warranty eligibility for the model and seller. Do not assume marketplace purchases receive the same treatment as a Samsung-direct order.
- Final price: Account for sales tax and shipping. Check that any financing plan’s total cost matches your intended purchase and that no trade-in or carrier commitment is required to get the advertised price.
- Optional add-ons: Review the cart for Samsung Care+ or other coverage you did not choose.
Samsung’s product pages distinguish unlocked from carrier configurations and present Care+ as an optional paid add-on. Samsung-direct shopping may suit buyers who want to deal with Samsung for configuration and support; Amazon may suit buyers who prefer its checkout or a retailer-specific offer. For either route, current stock, price, color, and terms need to be checked at purchase time.

Verdict: a strong historical discount for the right buyer
At $1,119.99, the reported offer was compelling for someone who wanted an unlocked Galaxy S25 Ultra specifically with 512GB and was comfortable paying flagship-phone prices. It was less persuasive for a shopper whose storage needs fit 256GB or whose priority was the lowest-cost high-end phone. The offer is historical; the evidence here does not show that Amazon or Samsung currently sells the phone at that price.
